Well…sitting here watching Man U play Brugge in the champions league and thought I’d try to get something out today even though I’m at the goal for the month….it has been one of those low energy days that I don’t like too much and I’m kind of sure that it is from not eating enough yesterday….just couldn’t do it….okay.. going to go look for a topic…okay, here’s a sick one…the repubs are at it again, fighting the expansion of Medicaid in Alaska since it is such a conservative value to deny poor people access to healthcare while they subsidize the hell out of business and the lawyers that will be bringing this suit…this will probably be led by Paul Clement who has been sucking the peoples money for years fighting gay marriage and anything else that would make this a better country…these fees have grown to be in the millions for this guys firm and to me is just another of the incestous forms of “wingnut welfare” where the repubs get their cronies involved to be able to bleed the taxpayers for their evil crusades….okay…that’s enough for now…need to go back to the match before my mood goes completely sour…

August 26th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but it was hard to get motivated to do much…I did get out to have a couple with G and that was only okay…slept okay last night but no dreams again and I may just stop reporting on that….the lack of motivation has carried through to today and I am trying to figure out a justification for not working out or riding the bike today…but, guilt is stronger than that right now so I guess I’ll get going in a minute….I do need more coffee to get going, though….the pain that was in my right tricep has moved to the left one and that is just so irritating….not sure why I’m so sore right now but part of it is that it was pretty cool on the bike yesterday and I never got warmed up enough to make the pain go away…not much to do today….just the normal stuff and coming back here for a couple more of these….more later…oh….only 650 more miles to 25K….
Gun Hypocrisy…
Well…after the latest mass shooting here in the US, the go to talking point for the right was that it was the gun free zones that caused the deaths since that’s where they occurred…not that crazies can get their hands on guns easily or that the hate spouted by the right spurred these nuts on….but the latest bit of hypocrisy is so blatant that I wonder why the media…oh, yeah, it’s the media…has not picked up on this…or at least not the people that used to do this job…while the right and the NRA are always pushing for more and more guns anywhere…even in elementary schools as they have here in Michigan…since they push the idea that “good guys with guns can stop bad guys with guns” but I guess it doesn’t apply to them…at every repub debate, meeting or event, guns are banned for a very surprising reason when you listen to the repubs normal talking points…they are banned for the “safety of the visitors at these events” so, guns everywhere else makes you safer but only at repub events do they make you less safe? The NRA even bans weapons at their conventions, a place where you would think that the “good guys with guns” would be welcomed to make that convention the safest place in the world. Look, lets be blunt…many. many studies have shown that more guns mean more killings…so,the next time you hear anyone on the right saying you should be able to carry a gun anywhere, ask them why not at their conventions? Hypocrites…but, you know that….geez…

Well…another day, another bit of stupidity from the supposed “smart” Bush boy and this is starting to show that ole GW might just be the “smart one”….and that is just scary…just the other day, the idiot had to open his mouth since his bubble advisers think that attacking Planned Parenthood is a winning issue, even though more than 80% of the women in this country want the repubs to leave PP alone. But, to appeal to their troglodyte base, ole JEB! has to toe the hard line; destroying any chance he may have had in the general. What ole JEB! said the other day just shows that he is stupid or evil…”I don’t think that PP should get a penny…since they are not doing women’s health issues. They’re involved in something way different than that”. So, JEB! cancer screenings, contraceptive care, Pap tests, and everything else that is done for the millions of women that us PP are not “actually doing women’s health”? This whole thing just shows that ideology trumps women in the eyes of these idiots…that they just don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves…and they are proud of that, they are proud of their ignorance on issues that don’t affect them…JEB!, Just go back to Kennebunkport and leave the rest of us alone…you are one stupid AND evil MF….geez….
RIP Justin Wilson…
Well..back here for one that I just hate doing..we lost another driver this week…Justin Wilson died from running into some debris from a wrecked car at Pocono yesterday….I am getting kind of tired of seeing this stuff but short of stopping racing, what can you do about it? Especially a freak accident like this one? I have seen so many drivers die live and in real time that I am questioning the sport in general and my watching it….that’s to talk about for another time… RIP Justin….
August 25th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…was just in shock about Wall street’s meltdown and couldn’t think about anything else…but, I slept okay last night and that was strange…even with being good last night and the problem is that there is no pattern that I can replicate to ensure that sleep happens…the pain is better today but my left shoulder is still hurting and I wonder if it the moving tendonitis that I have had the past few years…I do have to buy some bananas in the grocery run this week since I have been getting cramping in my calves again on the bike….and it even hurts when I’m not on the bike so potassium is necessary…not much to do today….I will be back here in a minute for another sad one and that will set the tone for the rest of the day….more later….
Ted Cruz is just sick…
Well…with all of the crazy on the right these days, I guess ole Ted has to turn it up to 11 to just be heard…but the way that he is doing it just irritates the hell out of me…in trying to capture the religious right, ole Ted has put women in the cross hairs, again, by trying to get the religious nuts in this country to try to shut down Planned Parenthood and by doing this, eliminate healthcare for over 20 million women in this country. Now, you know how I feel about religion…that is should be practiced in church and not jammed down people’s throats….or even better, not practiced….and using it to hurt people is no religion that anyone should be proud of…who gave them the right to interfere with anyone’s personal choices? I know I’ve talked about this before and, as I sit here, I am tired..tired of the daily religious crap that we have to deal with here in the US…tired of the religious playing the victim all day every day….what ole Ted wants here is a theocracy pure and simple with him as the preacher in chief….all a bunch of crap…okay, this one was a little disjointed but I tried to get the point across…
August 24th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got the bike ride in before the rain so that was something…almost took the day off from riding but needed to avoid the guilt so I went….slept okay last night but no dreams again so I have given up on them…not sure if I miss it or not…have to think about that one…didn’t get anything else done yesterday but didn’t really need to so I avoided the guilt there…I do need to vacuum and do a little more cleaning today and it is going to be cool so that will help…have been having a hard time getting motivated but I hope to change that today…still sore in my neck and I think it’s from riding…just stiff, really, not sore and it is starting to get annoying…not much to do today…should clean the glass in the car since I did a pretty crappy job last time and there are streaks that I can see in the morning…more later…
The cost of Trump’s nonsense…
Well…if you’ve heard a newscast or read the paper lately, you know of the Donalds pledge to round up and deport all the undocumented immigrants that are now in the US on “day one” if he is elected president…yeah, I never in a million years thought I’d use Trump and president in the same sentence either…kind of creepy to say the least..okay, back to the topic…one of the things that ole Donald doesn’t talk about is the cost to do this…well…there are now estimates that do put costs to this idea and that makes it even more nonsense….the latest estimates say that it would cost from 400 to 600 BILLION dollars over 20 years to get the job done….so, he thinks that spending that money just to satisfy the haters is a better deal than say, fixing the roads and bridges, or paying for college for a whole generation of Americans? It is just like a repub that they can always find money for war and hate but never to make citizens lives better…I wonder why I’m surprised at this? Shouldn’t be, it’s been this way since saint Ronnie….geez…
August 23rd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get out to look at the cars on 28th street so that was fun…slept okay but I am feeling a little run down today with the allergies getting worse…sitting here watching the F1 race from Spa and I am a little disappointed since this is my favorite track and it’s not much of a race…oh, well…didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks like the same since I don’t really have any motivation to do anything today….not really sore today so that will be good on the bike…I was going to use the rain as an excuse to not ride today but it looks like it will hold off until the afternoon so I will go to avoid the guilt….not much to do today…going to just kind of veg it today and take it easy….more later….
