Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool…with putting an 8 in on the break so that was cool….and my back still feels okay and that is a huge plus…I have started to feel a little pain again but it is still so much better that I don’t know what to do…enjoy it I guess…I did make a little cash yesterday and am going to make a little today, too so there will be groceries for another week….it has been a while….it was cool to go hard on the bike and let the crazy old guy out again yesterday…and that will be the plan today, too, I do need to get out on the bike right now since Man U is playing at 10 and I want to see that one…along with Michigan at noon and races later so it will be a busy day…not much to do today….I do need to clean a little later along with the errands but it should still be a good day…need more coffee, though….and I need to get going…more later…

September 25th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept okay last night but had some unsettling dreams that I am kind of glad I don’t remember…there was one weird thing that happened with my back…it has been hurting for quite a while now and I wasn’t sure what to do about it…I guess I just had to lie down on the couch…I did that yesterday and felt 4 or 5 large pops with lots of grinding….but, this morning, the pain is almost gone and I can walk without wincing….just one of those strange things that happen I guess, but I am happy it did….but it didn’t fix the rest of the pains and my elbow is killing me…oh, well…I did get the new sprocket on the bike but installed it wrong so I have to take it back off this morning before the ride…another 5 mins…not sure if I can take it…not much to do today…pool, I think, but that is about it….won’t get to any cleaning until tomorrow…more later…
Okay..trail weirdness…
Well…haven’t done one of these in a while since there really hasn’t been much weirdness going on but the sights today triggered me into remembering what I wanted to write about…a few weeks back, the country workers did some trail maintenance that involved putting sealer on the trails to try to prolong their lives…I think it was actually a contractor that did it…but, wouldn’t you think that they should clean the trail first before applying the sealer? Well….they didn’t and now it is funny to see what they sealed into the trail…huge blobs of cut grass, leaves, mice carcasses, caterpillars, and lot of other stuff…and the sealer reflects into my polarized sunglasses and makes a weird, shiny pattern that is a little annoying….oh, well…
The next bit of weirdness will only be funny to the “Doctor Who” fans out there…today, while heading up the first hill, I saw a guy running with these huge headphones on that made him look like one of the Cybermen…I wonder how much those things weighed? Weird…
The crazy man returns….
Well…I was going to title this one another ‘trail weirdness” and that is part of it but I think the one I chose is more descriptive…as you know, I have been waiting for the new front sprocket for the bike to come, with it scheduled to be here Sat…but, it came today and it did only take 5 minutes to replace even with texting with T throughout the process. And, you know me, I had to take it out for a test ride as soon as I finished it…it was just so cool to be able to be the “crazy man” and go as hard as I want in whatever gear I want with no skipping of the chain at all…over the past couple of months, I’ve had to throttle back to keep the chain on it and I didn’t realize how much fun that was taking out of the rides…I was going to do a full run but used my legs up this morning so I kept this test run short…tomorrow will be crazy day….again…nope I’m behind for the month so I think I’ll really do a trail weirdness in a minute…
September 24th
Well…not sure why I’m running late today other than the papers were thicker than normal today…slept okay last night and part of it was I could breathe after taking an antihistamine before bed…no more Miata dreams and that is a good thing…don’t want them coming true….I am sore again this morning but just the normal ones so I guess I can live with it…I think part of it is the changes to my riding style I’ve had to make with the worn out sprocket and all of the skipping the chain does…but, that will be fixed Sat, I hope, when the new sprocket gets here…got all of the bolts loose yesterday so the change will only take about 5 minutes….other than that, I didn’t get much done yesterday…it was good to have the Wings back even if it was just a pre-season game last night…it is cool to see all the young guys play…and there is another one tonight…I did smoke some more salmon yesterday and made some salmon spread that came out great…too good, actually….I wanted to eat all of it but had to show some restraint…not much to do today…I should wash the car but it’s not really dirty so I’m not sure if that will get done…I did repair the little tear I had in the top and I hope it lasts more than one top down session…more later…
Carly Fiorina lies just like the rest of them…
Well…the lies just keep on coming from the right these days about Planned Parenthood but this last bunch by Carly Fiorina is just too much…during the debate last week…ole Carly went on and on about the video she said she saw that showed a live baby being dissected for organs at Planned Parenthood…even though this video DOES NOT exist and never did…but the media gave up their responsibility of challenging her on these lies and she continues to spout them…but now, it has gotten even worse with her campaign faking a video that supposedly supports what she said in the debate….and, again the media has given here a pass on this lie when it would be pretty easy to just look for the time stamp on the video which would expose this lie…but none of them will do a damn thing….but, that doesn’t make this any less of a lie and this should disqualify the idiot Carly from ever holding any office…this, along with the lies about her “success” at HP should have gotten her laughed right off the stage…but here we have this idiot rising in the polls as she lies, lies, and lies….I guess that’s what the repub base likes…liars and the lies they tell….she will NEVER be elected in the general…just go home, Carly…only the most rabid of your base wants to hear a word you have to say…geez…
September 23rd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…but, I’m 4 days into not sleeping again and that is terribly tiring so I am running a little slow today…had some dreams that involved me letting some woman drive the Miata and her bringing it back wrecked…not sure what that is about since I never let anyone drive the car…might let T drive it after her arm heals but she is an old Fiat girl so that should be cool….I did get some salmon smoked yesterday and it came out so darn good that I’m going to do some more today…I did make up some salmon dip last night and it is was almost too good…going to make another batch today and use some green onions to add a little kick to it…it is so cool to have fresh fish to use since the flavor is just so good….already asked Brian for more and he said he’d give me more next week…can’t wait….not much to do today…smoking more fish and the normal stuff along with some cleaning…the cobwebs are almost taking over and I just need to make them go…more later….
Capitalism and healthcare don’t mix well…
Well…with all of the press being given to healthcare these days, one little known capitalistic tactic has been flying under the radar…until now. With many illnesses, there are old drugs that work perfectly fine and, with the few cases there are, there is no incentive for any drug company to develop new drugs or for companies to develop generic analogs for those drugs. But, that’s not good enough for the Wall street boys that make their living screwing people and stealing everything they can…the new trend is for the hedge fund boys to find a company that has one of these old drugs and is the only company making it…they then buy the company or the rights to the drug….and increase the price astronomical amounts…the latest example being the drug Deraprim, a 62 year old drug used to treat AIDS patients. The ghoul behind this crap is a jerk called Martin Shkreli who just happens to be a former hedge fund manager and what he did is just the worst of capitalism…he took the price of this drug which once cost a dollar a pill to $750 dollars a pill putting the treatment out of reach of many patients and lining his pockets while people die…justifying his actions saying the increase is necessary to fund “research”…that will never happen. In fact, in a previous company where he did the same thing to pediatric kidney patients, he is now being sued for 65 million dollars…this guys is no humanitarian…and this crap should be stopped now before more people die just to make him richer…how does he live with himself? Pretty easily, I’d guess…these folks don’t give a damn about anyone but themselves….geez…
September 22nd
Well…it’s the last day of summer and I’m not sure how I feel about that…just more time passing that I can’t control….slept crappy, crappy, crappy last night and feel it this morning…there should be a nap later today but I think that may make it worse so I think I won’t take one….I am going to smoke some salmon this morning and I have a lot of other stuff to do so it is going to be a busy one…and that’s okay…it is better when I am busy and the day goes by faster…but, do I want that? At least I will be accomplishing something so that will be cool….I am really sore today and my left elbow is screaming at me so I will need to do the ibuprofen thing in just a little while…I am looking forward to getting the new front sprocket on the bike…the chain is skipping now with just a little pressure and the last time the pedal raked the back of my calf and left a bruise the size of my hand…at least it didn’t break the skin and start bleeding…not much to do today…that’s not true…I have lots of stuff to do and it should keep me busy until late aft…going to try to make some smoked salmon dip with some leftover cream cheese just to see how it is….more later…

Well…just had this bit of wonderful news come over my Twitter feed…ole Scott Walker is dropping out of the race for the repubs…yep, I’ll bet that bit of news put a smile on your face, too…that this smarmy little cretin even was considered a front runner a few months back made my skin crawl as his only claim to fame was the destruction of Wisconsin’s economy while his cronies stole everything that was not nailed down. Now that the Koch’s have lost their golden boy, what o what are they going to do now? Who are they going to get to try to outlaw unions, to hate on women, and to continue to lower their taxes? I would have really liked to see this idiot go up against either Hillary or Bernie in a debate…since he has shown throughout his creepy career that he can’t think on his feet, either one of the dems or even Joe Biden would have demolished him.
