Well….wasted another day yesterday but just couldn’t get going…I did use the slow cooker to make some chicken with smoked sausage and that came out pretty good…but I only ate one meal yesterday since I felt full all day after the chicken….so the legs will be flat on the bike today…won’t be going out until later since the F1 race is on at 9…I really should take a day off to let the legs rest but that pegs the guilt meter and I don’t know if I want that or not….and I should clean today…but I’m not sure if I will or not….I did get 45 miles in yesterday but my back did give me some problems so I think I’ll have to wait a while to do the 100 miles….I do need more coffee so I think I’ll go get some and come back to this later…..more later…

Trump really is winning…
Well… to see the damage that the idiot trump has done to the presidency and the US’s standing in the world, you just have to listen to real world leaders descriptions of the idiot….they find it impossible to hold a coherent conversation with him….let that sink in a bit…the “president” can’t even hold a coherent conversation and after only a few interactions with the idiot, here’s what Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada has decided: that trying to communicate about anything of substance with trump and his cronies is a “lost cause” and their workaround is to basically ignore him and go straight to the states and cities that they want to deal with. Here’s the thing…. after all of the bluster that he would “negotiate the best deals”, trump has no partners left to negotiate with…almost the entire world, other than the dictators the idiot so loves, has sized him up for the moron that he is and have said that they will just ignore the US until he’s gone…wow…this is really making America great again, isn’t it? Impeach….
June 24th
Well….running a little early today since I want to get the bike ride in before F1 qualifying at 9….and I have decided to not do the 100 miles today…my back already hurts today and that means it will be bad when I get on the bike…oh, I did win at pool….slept okay last night but lost one of my ear plugs over night and that really annoys me….I did get the slow cooker loaded already so that should be done by around three or so and I’m looking forward to a good meal later…haven’t been eating enough and that needs to be fixed….not much to do today….I do need to clean some but I am going to try to not feel guilty if I don’t…..more later….
June 23rd
Well….running a little late today and I just can’t get started…seems to be a pattern lately…I did get out to see C for a little while and that was fun…and I had to run the air in the car on the way home and it still is cold…for a 23 year old car, that is cool….yeah…I noticed….feel a little crappy today but I earned that one so I think I’ll just go with it and relax this morning…it is raining so I think I may have a day off the bike today….and if I do the 100 miles tomorrow, it may be a good idea to take the day off…..and just get the pain out of my legs….not much to do today….pool this aft but I don’t think I’ll do much else….more later….

Well…the outline of the senate “healthcare” bill is out and it’s basically an 800 billion dollar giveaway to the richest 400 families in the country and everyone else get’s screwed. But, did you expect anything different? If you did, you haven’t been paying attention over the past 20 years. This is the essence of the modern repubs…give the rich everything and working people can just go to hell…and guess who keeps electing these assholes? Yep…working people whose fox news fanned blind hatred of anything democratic keeps them voting against their own self interests…I wonder if this will be enough to open their eyes? After they lose their healthcare, will that be enough? Nope…these people are just too damn dumb….impeach…
June 22nd
Well…not sure where I’m running today and I really don’t care…had an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….finally got the bugs off the kitchen floor and got some laundry done…and I need to do that again today…still trying to get my winter stuff put away…just have had no motivation lately and today is starting out the same….at least my back is better and it hasn’t hurt at all in a couple of days…other than when I get off the bike…have been mulling a long, long ride for sat….thinking of trying to do 100 miles just for the idea of doing it…I’ve done 30 a couple of times so far this year with no problems but 8 hours on the bike is a little daunting…we’ll see….not much to do today…going to meet up with C for a couple with him coming into town this aft so that should be cool….and it looks like storms, too, so I won’t be too bored….more later…
Sessions lawyers up…
Well…another day, another person in the idiot trump’s administration realizes that he needs a lawyer…just yesterday Jeff Sessions hired his own private attorney…for a bunch of idiots who continually screamed that Hillary’s administration would be the most corrupt in history, after Obama’s, there sure are a lot of lawyers being hired to defend them from what exactly? That they are too clean? That they follow the law too correctly? That they think there should be welfare for lawyers and they are doing their part to keep them working? Did anyone not think that this would be the logical conclusion of the repub thinking that the law doesn’t apply to them? After all, bush and his cronies weren’t prosecuted for admitting that they broke the law when they tortured people and no one that crashed the economy in 2008 was held accountable, so why would trump and his cronies think they would be for colluding with Russia to steal the election? Everyone else has to follow the law…but just the little guys….impeach….
June 21st
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…again…slept okay but no dreams again and that is the new norm….I think the bug is almost gone but I still didn’t have much energy yesterday…was just exhausted most of the day and that has been going on for a few days now…it was pretty cold last night and it is still only 51 degrees right now so it looks like a wait to get out on the bike today….maybe I’ll have some toast for breakfast today to see if the tiredness is from not eating enough….not much to do today….I am going to try to clean today since the dust is getting pretty thick and it is quite annoying….more later…
Oh, happy first day of summer….
The southwest shuts down from the heat….
Well…you’ve seen me talk about the effect that climate change is having on severe weather events here in the US but I have never seen what is happening in the southwest of the country right now. This afternoon, there will be no flights into or out of the southwest due to the record breaking heat that is predicted…from Phoenix to Las Vegas the temps are supposed to be from 120 to 126 degrees which is above the temperature ceiling of all aircraft that fly today. Yep, it is so hot that the entire southwest will be on lockdown this afternoon and the disruption to lives there will be severe….I’ve talked before about the need to not confuse weather with climate, but this extreme weather is driven by the warming climate just as the melting of the Antarctic glaciers is driven by it…and the rivers that are flowing off the glaciers have never been seen in the 100 years that observations have been taken there….so, the next time you hear a climate denier talk just shut them down with these two little facts…I’m an old guy and I’ve never seen a day when it was too hot for planes to fly…but tomorrow starts the summer and I’ll bet it won’t be the last time…..
June 20th
Well..getting moving early today since I got up pretty early…slept okay but on my right shoulder and it hurts like crazy today….and my lower back is stiff….cripes, I’m getting old….I did get some stuff done yesterday and I think that might be what is making some of the new pain in my back and shoulders….but, I think the bug is leaving finally and I do feel a little better this morning…still have the headache that I’ve had for a while but it is still not bad enough to take anything for it…man, this is just one big bitch session…not much to do today…I am going to clean the kitchen today with the dead bugs all over it and I think I’ll clean the new stove, too….more later….
