Well…I’m pretty sure you are as tired if the idiot trump as I am so I am not going to write about him today….instead, I’m going to do the first trail update for the year…there’s not a lot to talk about but here goes…it appears that the beavers have left the pond along M-6 some time during my indoor riding…the water level has dropped almost 10 feet since winter and I don’t see any evidence that they are still cutting trees around it….that’s too bad…less entertainment for me…one funny thing happened yesterday while I was on another part of the trail…a mouse came running out of the brush and smacked right into my front tire, flipped about two feet in the air and, if I had been quick enough, I could have reached out and caught it in the air…one of those things that appear to be in slow motion and are so damn amusing that you just have to smile…and the mouse hit the trail and took off running back into the grass so I guess there wasn’t any damage…I sure can’t wait until I can get out in shorts and a t-shirt…it is starting to get annoying always being in thermasuit and gloves…maybe tomorrow…

March 26th
Well…running late today since my son forgot to renew my domain name and I just got back online right now…I do need to send him a check for 12 bucks to cover it for the year and that’s not bad…I feel quite a bit better today and now I know the exhaustion is from not eating enough since I stuffed myself all day yesterday…well…stuffed myself as much as I can which means going from 1,000 cals to 1,500 but that made the difference for me…I will still think about having a bug since I am still sweating again right now…I need to remember that I can’t assume causality with just one data set but it is good to have a little energy for the first time in a while…I did sleep okay but got up at 5:14 again and that happens enough that I don’t really need to talk about it….no dreams again that I can remember but that just rates an oh, well…I did just get out to get my powerball tickets for the 750 million jackpot for tomorrow night…which would be almost 500 mil in cash and I think I may be able to live on that for a while….I think I’m going to wash the car to get ready to change to my summer wheels tomorrow
Are you surprised?
Well…with the 4 page summary on the Mueller investigation issued but AG Barr, are you surprised that he summarized the thousands of pages down to “trump did nothing that can be prosecuted”? I’m not, given Barr’s history as being a repub hack who I predicted would whitewash any findings against the idiot boy…after all, you just need to look at his history…Barr was instrumental in getting the Iran Contra felons their pardons from the elder Bush and has made it perfectly clear that he is a partisan hack that will do anything to protect repubs…and even said so in his confirmation hearing. So, why should we believe anything he has to say? Look, the only way we are going to get at the truth is to have house dems subpoena the entire report and the underlying evidence so impartial investigators can confirm what Barr had to say…and then summon Barr and Mueller to testify in front of the Intelligence and Judiciary committees to ensure that Barr is not able to get away with this coverup….I have confidence in the dems in the House to do their jobs and get the report released to the public…and if I were idiot boy, I’d skip the victory laps for now….the SDNY is still working on many more cases and, as I said before, the Mueller report is not the most important thing going on….it’s just one of the many things happening and trump will still go to jail after he is out of office….impeach….
March 25th
Well…running about on time with getting up at 5:09 but that doesn’t mean I like it at all….still feel exhausted as I have for the past week and even fell asleep sitting on the couch last night….so, I’m sure this is a bug that I’ll just have to wait out to feel better…I did sleep okay last night…for me….but no dreams to speak of and I was really hoping for more weird ones like the night before but no luck…I did get a nice ride in yesterday but I am a little frustrated that the days are not warming up at all…at least in the morning when I like to ride so that puts me out on the bike in the aft and it was still only in the 40′s…and that looks like the pattern for as far as the weather channel has forecasts…I can’t wait for 60′s to come so I can get out in shorts…and there is even snow in the forecast for next Saturday and that is depressing…it seems like everything is depressing lately and it doesn’t help feeling like crap and only having the energy to drag myself to the couch in the morning…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I do need to clean the bathroom at some point in the next couple of days…I did get the summer bedding washed and on the bed yesterday so I guess that’s doing something…but, I’m not going to promise anything for today….more later…
600 miles before April 1st!
Well…it’s another year and I just got to over 600 miles for the year so far…the fastest to 600 miles ever and the first time I’ve gotten that many miles in before April 1st. I still have another 6 days to add to that total but it looks like rain is going to cut into my riding time this week…but, it’s still cool that I got this many miles in so early…couldn’t have done it without the trainer and that was a good purchase for 47 bucks….
March 24th
Well….it looks like I’m about on time this morning but I was up for the first time around 5 or so and that is normal for me….don’t feel so hot this morning and I can’t figure out how I’m so exhausted and haven’t done anything yet but go out to get the paper…it was nice to have no frost on the car today so I didn’t have to warm it up before I could go….I did have some weird dreams last night about the Indy 500…but not a modern version as it is now but one from 50 years ago but with semi modern cars…weird…it was nice to just have some dreams for a change…I did go out to take a look for the northern lights last night but it was a bust…as it has been the past 10 times or so that they were forecast and that was a little disappointing…would like to see them one more time before I croak…didn’t get a lot done with all the sports on again and it looks like I’ll waste another day with basketball and two races on so I may get a nap this aft to make up for the 5 hours I got the past few days…I may clean some today but I’m not sure…I do need to ride the bike after it warms up but that won’t be for hours so I will have to fill that time somehow…maybe with more coffee and some news….more later….
Internet’s working again…
Well….was planning on coming back here all day to do one on the disappointing Mueller report, but my internet has been out most of the day and that is a huge pain in the butt…it just starting working again so I thought I’d just do a shorty to get my second one done for the day…I did get out on the bike even with the bug that I have right now and it was okay…my legs were good but my lungs seem to be down to about 75% and I was struggling at times just to catch a breath…but, they seem better now and I haven’t coughed much since I got back here so maybe it was a good idea to get out. I am going to head outside when it gets dark to look for the northern lights since there was a CME yesterday that was supposed to hit earlier today but continue until Sunday morning…and the line where you can see them is supposed to be south of here so it might be something to see…okay, starting to sweat again just sitting here so I’ll end and go back to vegging….
March 23rd
Well…I knew I was coming down with something when I started coughing and sneezing yesterday and now I’m sweating through my clothes so we’ll have to see how it progresses today to see how bad it’s gong to be…I had a flu shot so it can’t be flu but there is a bunch of stuff going around that the shot may not cover….I even had to take a red dot and some ibuprofen to get the pain out of my head last night but that is back right now and it is really annoying….oh, well…didn’t get much done but cook some salmon yesterday and watch sports and I’ll have to do more cooking today since I have some chicken that needs to be cooked or frozen and more asparagus to go with it…then I’ll try to get to the leftovers that have accumulated over the past week….and there will be more sports with Michigan and State playing this afternoon so I’ll need to get out on the bike early so I can settle in a take a nap this aft…need to make up for the 5 hours of sleep…okay, just remembered part of the dreams from last night…I wonder what it means when you dream about not being able to sleep? More later…..

Well…the hypocrisy is reaching new, even higher levels coming of the repubs today…if that is even possible…and remembering the breathless screaming about Hillary’s private e-mail server that was endlessly investigated for years…it was revealed yesterday that both Jared and Ivanka have been using private e-mails to conduct government business for the past two years with Jared going so far as to use a little app called WhatsApp to contact diplomats in other countries so it will be kept secret and there will be no record of what he says as he tries to make “deals” with other countries. Now, we all know this is against the law but, hey, that doesn’t matter to these criminals and their enablers in the repub party…the supposed party of “law and order” are just fine with breaking the law if a repub does it. It isn’t bad enough that we have an inexperienced crook who is basically running our foreign policy, but now we can’t even know what he is saying to the murderer MBS or how he is trading on his position to make money for himself…that is exactly the purpose of the laws that were enacted for transparency in government and why there are severe penalties for breaking them…but, with trump running the justice department, you can bet there will never be any consequences for this bullshit…let’s just trash the rule of law some more so we’ll have to clean it up in 2021….impeach…
March 22nd
Well…running somewhat late this morning and I just can’t get going which is getting to be the new normal lately…didn’t get out of bed until almost 6:30 but that doesn’t mean I slept well because I didn’t…part of that may be that I am sore everywhere from getting back on the bike outdoors this week and using all kind of new muscles that I just didn’t use riding inside…I feel like I have been beaten all over and it popped into my head yesterday that I just feel old and I never think like that…and the ride was just torture for the whole thing and that usually doesn’t happen until I’ve been out a few weeks….hmmm….I did get out to run a couple of errands and went back to Aldi’s to get the salmon that I forgot the other day…couldn’t pass it up at 3.99 a pound and thought I’d treat myself a little…need to get a couple of fillets in a marinade here in a while so I can bake it for lunch today…and I splurged ever more with asparagus to have with it so it should be a nice, healthy lunch….didn’t get anything else done yesterday but watch sports and veg quite a bit and today looks the same with how I’m feeling…unless the coffee works soon…more later…
