Well..you know, I’m getting tired of the days getting away from me and not being able to do the things I want…like today when I was all ready to settle in for an afternoon of reading but then the damn rain stopped and I felt compelled to go out for a second ride to make the day a 43 miler…so I did…another day of 25 mph wind that I fought the entire rides and I am sore again today…and I’ve been having problems with the bike both in keeping the seat adjusted and making it comfortable for me…as I lose weight, the seat needs to be adjusted to compensate for less fat in my butt that has led to having to raise the seat and tilt it differently…tried that the other day and it just kept getting loose and that is so damn annoying when your trying to put the miles in…and the damn adjustment on the rear shifter is broken so I’ll have to throw away a shift cable to put a spare adjuster in and then get it adjusted right again and that can take hours…oh, well…it’s 7 pm and time to watch a little tv….

Well…running late today with not getting out of bed til 6:24 and I need to get on the bike in 22 minutes to keep to my schedule…not sure if I’m going to get outside on the bike today but I’m going to try…woke up to some small thunderstorms this morning and a bout of depression that I haven’t had this year yet…just so damn worn out today and I need the coffee to work soon…allergies are quite bad today and I’m going to have to take something for it soon…got a lot of stuff done yesterday and I may make a run out to DD for 4 1/2 pounds of thick cut bacon for 5 bucks but I’m not sure if I need that much bacon but I have room in the freezer and I have lettuce and tomatoes to make BLT’s…and there may be other deals to be had like the smoked turkey I got for 1.25 a pound last time…need to plant some more veggie seeds today to get the chili peppers, peas, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes started so they will be ready to go in the garden in a couple of weeks…it’s going to be an easier day today and I really do need one I’m so worn out…so I’m going to ease into it, have more coffee and get on the bike in 13 minutes…more later…

Well…like an idiot, I went out in the 25mph wind this afternoon and now I hurt everywhere…my neck and the right side of my lower back is howling at me…going out was a hoot and I could pull 20 mph in 24th gear but coming back had me all the way down to 3rd on the back sprocket and the gusts stopped me dead…going to have to treat all the pain later…I did get the front steps treated with Thompsons and I really like the combo of the cleaner and the sealer…it turned the steps a darker brown like it had color in it when it was just the clear stuff…but I’ll take it…that could be why my right shoulder hurts since the sealer is too thick to spray it so I had to brush it on and that took an hour and a half…but worth it…I did pick up 38 seed packets at Menards this morning for 10 cents each…got perennials, annuals, and even some veggie seeds that I will need to get planted downstairs tomorrow…already have some beans and sunflowers up downstairs but I’m waiting until later this spring to put them in to makes sure the frost is over…still need to spade the garden and prep it so I’ll have time…okay, I need to read some…

Well…up at a little after 3 this morning but was able to get back to sleep for a bit…out of bed at 5:40, though, and need to get going on this busy day…going to do the grocery run today since Menards has flower and veggie seeds on sale for 10 cents a packet and I want to get some flowers for the back and side of the house…and I want to get some Thompsons water seal to treat the front steps since they came out so good from the deck wash…I did get a lot done yesterday and need to continue that today with doing an indoor ride here in a few minutes before the grocery run…then I’ll treat the steps before i get out for the outside rides…not sure about that, though, with winds in the 20′s and 30′s that are forecast…and then rain tonight and tomorrow and into Thurs…that might be just what I need to have some recovery time…I’ve been pushing this old body so much lately that I think I’m wearing out…have lawn food in the garage and wonder if I should put that on today…would rather plant flowers to take advantage of the rain…think I’ll spend 3 bucks and get thirty packs…going to try to get perennials so I won’t have to plant again…not much to do today…yeah, that’s not true…going to be running all day and need to get started…more later…

Well…darn..sitting here right now sore and sunburned from my day today…started out with getting an indoor ride in at 7am and the going right out to work on the lawn…abused the heck out of my right shoulder raking the leaves out of the fencelines  and then decided to mow the lawn for the first time with the bag on the mower to pick up the leaves that were on the lawn…then I applied some weed killer and cleaned up the flower gardens…the I jumped right on the bike for the first of two ride outdoors in just shorts and a t-shirt and forgot to put sunscreen on so I have some redness on my arms and legs…I’m really liking that deck wash that I applied…the steps look great and I am going to treat them with Thompsons water seal that I’m going to get at Menards tomorrow since I am going there to get seed packets they have on sale for 10 cents each…and I need grass seed and more weed killer, too…to keep up with the yard work…going to rain Wed and Thur so maybe I can just do a couple of indoor rides and get a little rest…just feeling worn out…

Well…the heat didn’t come on overnight and I think it’s the first time that has happened this year…and I’m sitting here in shorts and I know it’s the first time without long pants this year…but, it’s only 45 right now so I think the heat will come on soon…had an okay day yesterday and got 45 miles in on the bike and I’m going to try to do that again today but I may cut off the rides at 30+ so I’ll have time to work on the yard…need to get weed killer on and I think I’ll have to mow for the first time soon…the steps at the front of the house turned out okay with the deck wash and I wonder if I should get some more Thompsons water seal and spray it on instead of brushing it….it’s nice to have the water on outside so I can clean up my yard tools…and the bike…darn, have 8 minutes before I need to get on the bike and I sure don’t want to right now…it looks like there is no wind out there right now and I can’t wait to ride in 2 mph wind for the first time this year…and it will be 57 by 10 am so shorts and a long sleeved t-shirt will be the dress of the day…don’t have to cook today but I will be making some chicken Masala tomorrow and will be eating out of the freezer this week…might get some chicken thighs this week…could grill them but the gas tank is getting low and I’ll have to fell it in the next couple of weeks…not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and yard work done but that will wait til the afternoon….more later…

Well…darn, spending 4 1/2 hours on the bike every day is starting to make every day a busy one…got the first ride in and then went out to spray the front steps with the deck cleaner I got for 4 bucks a gallon…I sprayed all the algae but it didn’t do anything so I was ready to accept losing 4 bucks…but after the first outdoor ride, I decided to check it and most of the green was gone and I still had 1/2 of the gallon left…there were a few spots that I missed so while the pork chops were grilling , I sprayed the remaining green spots and then rinsed it as you’re supposed to…I was pretty surprised how well it worked…and it didn’t take me scrubbing at all so that was cool…after that I got two more outdoor rides in for a total of 45 miles today, put a load of laundry in, and then had to think of something to write about and do two of these…I did carve out an hour to read, too, but it’s pushing 7 and I really want to watch a little tv tonight…didn’t get through the second “Dune” movie last night so I may try to finish that up starting at 7…then there are the fox animations and I’ll probably watch those…another warm day tomorrow so I may just do three rides outdoors…but maybe not…I have a series I’m watching downstairs and want to finish that…
