Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I am having a lot of trouble getting started today….just want to go back to bed…but, I won’t….slept okay and had dreams that I don’t remember but I’m having them so that is something…I didn’t have any pain on the bike yesterday and it was a good ride but I forgot to fill the water bottle before I went out….that was not a good thing but I did get it filled at the last water stop….there was almost a tiny bunny alert but with only 5 it didn’t rate yet….didn’t get anything done yesterday and today looks the same but I do have lots of work tomorrow…hope it rains so I can justify not riding and just get stuff done….not much to do today….may have a couple with G later but that is about it…more later….

Pushback…finally….
Well…I have been really quite irritated with those of us on the left that have let the right set the terms of discussion over the past decade or so but that appears to be changing…and not a damn day too soon. I know that Bernie has been a lone voice in the woods for years now, railing against the lies and rigging of the country by the repubs, and his voice is now being joined by others that are changing the narrative by calling the right out on it’s lies. Starting with Elizabeth Warren and her truth telling on Wall Street and it’s manipulation of the economy which has been going on for a year now…we now have President Obama pushing back on the NRA’s program of lies that he and Hillary are going to take away everyone’s guns…reacting to a gun store owner repeating those talking points at a town hall just last week. The pushback really took on a new life with Hillary’s dismantling of Trump last week in a great speech on foreign policy….and it appears that we on the left are finding our voice again…that we are no longer scared of the lies of the right and are countering them with the truth…and shouting that truth everywhere possible….it’s about damn time….
June 5th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a little done so that was cool….slept okay and didn’t get up until 7 and that has put me a little behind today…behind for what I’m not sure but behind….not too sore this morning but I think the yearly pain is settling into my left leg this year…have been having big pain in my left calf for about a week now so I guess I’ll take something for it here before I get out on the bike…I was hoping for an excuse to take the day off from riding but it looks like the rain is done for this morning so I can get out when I finish my coffee…have to remember that the weekends are supposed to be leisure rides without sprints but what’s the point then? Had a good ride yesterday and it felt good to go hard the entire 15 but that left me sore today…not sure why that would be with having over 900 miles for the year already…probably just getting old….not much to do today…need to clean some and make some new food since all of the leftovers are gone but that is about it….more later….
RIP Muhammad Ali…
Well…it seems like every week there is another great in our lives that passes away…yesterday, we lost Muhammad Ali at the age of 74 after a short illness…it is kind of weird when someone that has been there for you entire life goes….I remember the 1960 Olympics gold medal and the brashness of that young Cassius Clay…yeah, I’m that old….and I remember listening to his fights on the AM radio since, back then, they weren’t on TV until later when you could see some of them on Wide World of Sports…I also remember the draft resistance that now I find quite strange since Ali was 25 at the time and most draftees were in their late teens…but, that’s for another time….his work outside the ring was what made him so different from other fighters at the time and was even more significant that his boxing….and is what made him the real man that he was….he had a great life….RIP Ali…
June 4th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept okay and had dreams about North Korea for some reason that I can’t figure out….feel okay this morning but have been having cramps on the bike and I’m not sure why…need to take something for it before I go out this morning and see if that helps….the bike has been running quite well but the shifter is acting up a little so I’ll have to work on that before the ride…should probably put the new one on it since it has been lying here for almost 6 months….but, I won’t since I really don’t want to do any work today…not much to do today….have to do one on Muhammad Ali later today and watch some races but that is about it….more later…

Well….I haven’t been following the election that closely up to this point but things changed a little yesterday….Hillary is now embracing the fact that she will be the nominee against ole Trump and cut loose with a great speech that showed that the Donald is not qualified by knowledge or temperament to be president….and the fun thing is she worked his own words in to make the points. The reaction from the thin skinned orange man was quite predictable…he went on a twitter rampage where he just basically lied his ass off and said he never said any of those things…and Donald has the same problem that all the rest of the lying repubs have…they forget about video and that all of the crap they say is recorded….so even Morning Joe ran tape on it…and Donald went nuts saying they it a crappy show with low ratings when just last week he said exactly the opposite. I think this is just gonna be fun to watch Donald’s meltdown as Hillary keeps pummeling him on his lies and stupidity…get the popcorn….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…slept okay last night, finally, so I feel okay today…the ride out and back to pool was a nice one with the top down…didn’t get sunburned at all and I have to keep that up….not too sore today, either, so the bike ride may be a good one today….just went out to get the papers and it is just such a nice day I really want to get out soon…it is a little weird to not have pool today but that will allow me to get a head start on cleaning today if I feel like it…not sure if I will but I can if I want….have been having problems with my left triceps on the bike so I will need to take something for it before I get on the bike…not much to do today…need to get some work done around here but that is about it….more later….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool…slept crappy again and that is getting annoying…but there is a lot of that going around with T having the same problem last night…I did get a few things done so that was a start at least and I need to continue that over the weekend….I think I have given up keeping the car clean since I got up this morning and it was covered in dust again…maybe I need to buy a cover for it….running a little late today since I needed to make the grocery run…I did have the top down over and back and that was nice….and it looks like no rain until next week so I will need to sunscreen a lot….not much to to today…might be shooting pool today and if that happens, that will be all I do today…

No Trump today…
Well…there are quite a few things to write about Trump today but I’m not going to do it….it’s just too damn toxic to even think about right now but it appears that the Donald has sucked up all of the news coverage for himself so I really don’t have a lot to write about….I did get soaked on the bike today but it was warm enough so I didn’t really care….but the water shorted out my new bike computer so it stopped working…it did dry out and it appears to be okay…the old ones never did that in the wet so I guess I’ll have to build a small bag to go over the head unit when it rains…just like I did for the phone….I did make some cash today so that was cool…even enough to buy the groceries tomorrow with a little left over….okay…this just isn’t working right now so I’m going to quit and think about making some dinner….
June 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I felt a little off all day….couldn’t get comfortable on the bike or in the car…just felt weird all day and today is starting the same…slept okay last night but feel crappy today and all I want to do is go back to the couch and drink more coffee….not too sore today so I will try to get back on the bike…have been waiting for a rain day so I can take a day off the bike but it looks like it won’t be today…I am hoping for some storms later but that looks iffy, too…..and the car is covered with dust again after I washed it yesterday and I am getting tired of that….I did make a little cash yesterday so there will be groceries this week….although I really don’t need any food with the freezer full…not much to do today…need to clean the fridge and the kitchen but that is about it…..more later…
