Well….just don’t want to talk about the idiot boy today but wanted to stay on sched so I think I’ll just do one on some trail stuff today….have been getting used to the old bike and I may just put the new one off for another month….it is much more comfortable when I let the air pressure drop a little so I think I’ll leave it there…have also gotten the seat adjusted right..finally… so it is pretty comfortable…I did do a little trail maintenance today…some idiots had taken the sluice gates out of a pond that I ride past every day and it had almost gone dry, so I climbed over a fence and down a small ravine to put them back in place…this is a pond that normally has a crane or a heron standing in it and lots of other birds, so I hope it will fill back up some with the storms that are coming later tonight….not sure why anyone would do that since it was a lot of work to get over the fence and put the boards back….I also ran across another hickory tree that was shedding nuts all over the trail so I stopped and filled up my bag with almost a hundred of them…I have figured out how to use my vice grips to get them to split so I can get the meats out almost intact…and I like the flavor…and they are free…going to pick up some walnuts tomorrow and try some of them….okay…going to watch some football….no more later..or maybe more later…not sure…

October 7th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but my back gave me fits all day….it just won’t crack like it normally does and the pain was pretty bad most of the day….feels okay right now so I have hope that it will be better today…slept okay last night and had a few dreams so that was cool…but I didn’t get anything else done so today will have to be different….it looks like the rain will be here all day so I am going to take the day off the bike and let my legs rest…I think my hands need more rest, though, the old bike makes them hurt like crazy and I’m not sure why….I did get a care package of venison yesterday…3 lbs of burger and a couple of pounds of steaks that will get me through a couple of weeks….have to get stuff for tacos next week and I am out of butter….not much to do today…going to clean a little and watch some races and football but that is about it….more later….
72 million and counting…
Well…yeah, I know, you’re probably tired of hearing from me today but it’s been the only thing I’ve been motivated to do….so, just one more….with the idiot trump and his cronies in congress continually trying to take away healthcare from 30 million people and now trying to gut Medicare and take it away from everyone 65 and older, I thought it would be time to come back to the amount of money the idiot boy has spent on vacations in the past 9 months….that has now been calculated to be over 72 million dollars…yep, the country can’t afford healthcare for one third of it’s citizens but it can afford to spend 72 million to send trump to golf…and, if you add in all of the travel for all of his cronies that just have to have private jets, it is actually more like 80 million…I wonder how many people could have healthcare for 80 million? Let’s do the math…let’s assume that insurance costs 20K per person….a figure that is probably a little high….even at that high number, 4,000 people could have health insurance for a year…or we can continue to line the idiot’s pockets as he treats the US as his own slush fund…impeach…

Well…with over 95% of Puerto Rico still without power after hurricane Maria, and the idiot trump not giving a damn about when or if the power will be restored…I guess trump thinks it was enough to throw paper towels at the people there…here comes Elon Musk proposing he can scale up his solar panel/battery storage systems to power the entire island….as he has done for some other smaller islands across the world. With PR having the oldest, most expensive electrical generating equipment of any US state or territory, why should we just rebuild the old stuff and keep PR paying 3 times as much for electricity? To reward trump’s buddies who are already circling the island like a bunch of vultures? The long term cost would be much lower to modernize the grid there, and it could be decentralized so that even with another hit by a hurricane, the entire island would never be without power again. the only problem here is with the idiot trump, who would never approve anything like that…after all, he can’t profit from it…impeach…

Well….not sure if you have been following this latest outrage by the orange idiot in chief, so I thought I’d just do a short one on it….last week it was revealed that trump’s SoS Rex Tillerson called him a f****** moron to some of the other senior staff after trump’s meltdown speech to the Boy Scouts…and after the media reported it this week, Tillerson issued a non-denial saying he “just wasn’t going to deal with that stuff”…and this set off the thin skinned moron in the WH who then attacked the media as being “fake news” and called for a congressional investigation of the media who print the truth about him. Now, this idiot never thinks too far ahead but I think he better be careful what he wishes for….never mind that his suggestion to congress is unconstitutional, his favorite network, fox news, has been shown to lie almost 60% of the time…filling the air with more blatant, purposeful, falsehoods than all other media combined. So donny, why don’t you just shut the hell up and go away….while you still can….the clock is ticking….tick, tick, tick…..impeach…
A little sports…
Well…sitting here waiting for the idiot trump to do his next bit of idiocy and thought I’d just do one on sports while I wait…okay, it’s mostly the Wings but I may touch on other sports, too….the Wings looked pretty good last night in their 4-2 win over the Wild and they even scored a power play goal…so that was cool…and my guy Hank got one, too…that is just icing to me….now, I’m not going to get carried away by one win, but they could have gone the other way and that would have dampened a lot of my enthusiasm for this year…it is cool to see the youngsters hold their own and get some goals, too….now, I guess I’ll talk a little about Man U and their start to the year….only one tie for the first 8 games and that puts them tied for first in the league this year….after last year’s 5th place finish, I have hope they will do better…at least in the top three to get into the Champions League without having to go through the Europa league to get there…not much to say about the Tigers other than I am a little curious who the new manager is going to be…I think it’s best to just forget about their season….oh, almost forgot to talk about the Lions…3-1 so far and they should be 4-0…but, they didn’t look good in their last game at all…so all of the hype about the playoffs I’ll take with a grain of salt being the long time Lions fan that I am…that’s enough….
October 6th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got sunburned running errands in the car…and that is pretty cool for October….slept okay last night and I think I felt my back crack when I was putting a pickle jar back in the fridge and it doesn’t hurt anymore so that is cool….it was really bad yesterday and I was hoping that it wouldn’t be months until I could figure it out….might have to wait to get on the bike today with the rain showers that are coming but I don’t want to take two days off in a row….it is supposed to rain like crazy tonight and tomorrow and we sure need it….and I could use a day off the bike….not much to do today….going to clean some and that’s about it….more later…
Let’s Go Red Wings!
Well…another fall, another hockey season starts tonight…for us anyway and I’m not sure what to think about it…last year was such a bust with half of the team in a slump that lasted the entire season and not making the playoffs for the first time in 25 years. But, when any new season starts, there is hope that we will play better…we really can’t play any worse…I mean not scoring an away PP goal for three months? I am still going to watch them tonight…and I’ll have my gear on with the hope that they get back to being the Wings again…..
October 5th
Well….running late today and I almost forgot to come here and do this…again…have had a few other things on my mind this morning that have distracted me…nothing earth shattering just little things….my back started hurting like crazy again this morning for the first time in a couple of months and it is really annoying…could barely carry the hand basket getting groceries this morning and it is the same thing I had before…it has stopped popping and re-aligning itself so I have to figure out how to get it it crack….part of it may be the old bike since everything else hurts, too…slept pretty crappy last night and I hope it’s a one night thing….the Wings start their season tonight and I am looking forward to that although it won’t be Ken and Mickey announcing tonight…..I do have to dig out the gear for the game….not much to do today….I need to make a run to Aldi’s in a few minutes since they are almost giving food away for their grand opening today…it’s going to be a zoo with the rebuild that has been going on for the past month…more later….

Well….it has been noticed by the press that the idiot trump’s wife Melania has been changing clothes many times a day whenever she is out in public…and now, the reason for it has been found out…it seems that it is not just changing for changings sake…but it is essentially Melania doing fashion modeling on the government’s dime since she then advertises the outfits for sale to profit from the disasters she is touring…yep, these people are just the worst sort of assholes who think of no one but themselves and how they can enrich themselves from the misery of others…did you ever see the Obamas or any other first family do that? Nope, didn’t think so….just another reason these grifters have to go…impeach….
