Well….in what was supposed to be a defining speech that would show ole JEB!’s foreign policy chops, his speech at the Reagan library instead exposed the shallow, naive person that ole JEB! is especially on the middle east. His speech did the normal crap that is red meat to the right….Obama bad, Hillary bad and right wing policies of intervention are good and necessary and the only thing that will bring peace to the middle east….but the whole problem here is that the interventionist crap plays well with the right in this country but is ridiculed by the rest of the world for what they are…the purile thoughts of someone out of his depth and is reliving the bad decisions of the neocons that roiled the middle east in the first place….but the big thing is his statement that he will rescind the Iran deal on day one if he is elected…but the rest of the signatories to the agreement and the UN are saying “not so fast”…you can’t abrogate an international agreement unilaterally on a whim….and that sums up the unreality where ole JEB! lives….he lives in the same fantasy world where his party resides…that the US can do anything they damn well please and everyone else just has to take it….he is just detached from reality…and will never be elected…ever…geez…
August 12th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that is cool…there will be groceries this week….back to sleeping crappy again just like yesterday and I almost forgot what it was like to wake up exhausted…but, I remember now and I don’t like it at all…I did get some stuff done yesterday so that was progress and I do have some things to do today, too, so that will keep the boredom at bay some….I have been so sore lately that I may have to take a day off the bike to let things heal up some…and these are not normal pains…well, now that I think of it, they are except for the shoulder stuff so we’ll go hard again today to see if it makes it worse….I do have to wash the car today but the workout and bike ride come first…not much to do today…just the car and cooking lunch but I may take the easy way out for that and just make a pizza…I do feel good that I have been losing weight but not fast enough for me…more later….

Well…it is with some glee that I read that ole rick Perry’s campaign is dying quickly to the point that he has stopped paying his staffers and has told them that they can start looking for new jobs. Now…I knew this was going to start happening at some point to the candidates from the ‘kiddie table” debate but I thought this grifter would be able to grift enough money to at least make it a couple of more months….I think his billionaires have given up on him and now he may even have to get a job somewhere…I would suggest a greeter at Walmart would be the perfect thing for him….he’s not bright enough to do anything else…no matter that he is wearing “smart” looking glasses…what a maroon…and good riddance….

Well…just read an article that made me laugh out loud on the new attack that JEB! is trying to level against Obama and Hillary…and it goes like this…that Iraq was in control and everything would have been just fine if that darn Obama would have just kept up the policies of ole GW…and that ISIS is the fault of Obama, too since something, something….yeah, I know…you’re laughing, too at this bit of absurdist revision of history…never mind that the entire upheaval in the middle east was caused by his lying brother and his cronies who lied and lied us into a fake war that they wanted…and that ole GW’s policy of disbanding the Iraqi army with nothing to take it’s place is what is fueling ISIS now….most of it’s leadership comes from the officer class of the army who were summarily dismissed by Bremer, the idiot. So, I can’t wait for the rebuttal by Hillary who has been more and more of an attack dog against the repubs on the campaign trail and won’t let JEB! slide on this one…should be fun to watch….
August 11th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday an I made some cash so that was cool…the sleep is back to the height of crappy and I am exhausted this morning just sitting here and doing this…but, I am hoping the coffee will counteract some of that so I can get the workout and bike ride in…it is another gorgeous Michigan morning out there and it would be a shame to waste it by being a slug….didn’t get much done yesterday but I did miss getting wet…twice…just walked in the door fro the bike ride and it started pouring and just got back from an errand in the car and it started to rain just as I got the top up….small bits of luck that I’ll take….after going hard on the bike the past two days, I am sore today but it’s not bad so I can live with it….not much to do today…I have a few things to do around here that need to be done today so that will be the priority for the morning…going to need to take a nap later with only getting about 4 hours of sleep last night…more later….
No more war…
Well…this thought just came to me as I was thinking about a topic for today…since I was born, there has been war for more than half of my years…i was born when the Korean war was still going on…then we had Vietnam, then various invasions like Panama and Grenada….the we got mired in the middle east for two Iraq wars and Afghanistan…and that adds up to more than half of my life. Now, we have many on the right clamoring for another one in Iran and I have had enough…no more wars..just bring our damn troops home and let them rest a while…let them see that there is normal after their tours…let’s just stop using up people and discarding them to feed the blood lust of the right…and let’s stop the profit making of the war machine that controls the right these days….as John Lennon said…”give peace a chance”…geez…
August 10th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done…the sleep has gone to hell again, too, and that is really frustrating after having almost a week of it being good…oh, well…I guess it had to go bad again….and I am sore this morning and I’m not sure if it was from the full speed on the bike yesterday of the tossing and turning last night…I guess it doesn’t matter, really….might have to take the day off the bike with it raining and that may be a good thing…I did feel great on the bike yesterday so that was something that I have been waiting for for a while and I can’t believe it has taken weeks to get over that bug….not much to do today…have some stuff to do around here but that will be done this morning so the aft will be a bore…there is soccer on so I guess that will help…more later….
August 9th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that was progress…slept okay, too, so I feel okay this morning for some reason….I did get out to have a couple with K yesterday and that was fun but gives me a head start on the cocktail night that usually makes it hurt in the morning but not this time…finally got the bathroom de-spidered and cleaned and today should be the kitchen but we’ll see how that goes….the bike ride was fun yesterday and I felt pretty good out there…it appears the legs and lungs are back to full strength and part of that is going hard until I can’t go anymore….but today is going to be a no sprint day and probably some Pink Floyd in the ears but I’m not sure yet…I did get to watch the start of the BPL season yesterday and Man U looked pretty bad beating Spurs by only 1-0…at least they won…not much to do today….just the bike ride and cleaning..then a little napcar in the aft….more later…
A full spandex woman…
Well…as you know, there are times that I comment on the spandex boys out on the trail; the bike riders in the thousands of dollar bikes and spandex riding clothes from head to toe…probably fantasizing that they are in the Tour de France….and, until earlier in the week, it was always guys in those getups and quite a few of them shouldn’t be…as I’ve said before, no one looks good in spandex…oh, lost the thread…earlier in the week I saw a young woman in full spandex on some German bike I’ve never heard of….saw her twice actually, but she was not trying to go fast like a lot of the guys…she was just taking it easy and I just don’t understand spending all that money to just cruise…but I’m not going to spend a lot of time trying to understand…just something new…
August 8th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and i won at pool so that was cool….but that was the last one at CSB so that wasn’t….didn’t get anything done so today will have to be different…the spiders are taking over again so at least the bathroom will have to be done…sitting here right now in my Man U jersey watching the first game of the season and that will give me something to do sat and sun mornings….and Man U is ahead 1-0 halfway through the first…not much to do today…going to just watch football and clean…have to stop at the produce stand to get some tomatoes but I think I’ll do that on the bike since I ride near it….more later…
