Well….still can’t get to politics yest but I am easing up to it…so, I think I’ll talk about something else, again….a couple of weeks back, I noticed that the car key that I was using was not working too well in the ignition…it was catching and hard to turn so I decided to use the key that I got from the dealer a couple of years ago….that one never worked as smoothly as the one I got with the car so I continued to use the original key until I noticed that it had a crack in it…and with having a similar, cracked one break off in the trunk lock of the Mx-6, I thought it would be a good idea not to use it anymore. But, that left me with one key again and that doesn’t work with my two key winter system…where I leave the car running in really cold weather and just lock the doors….so yesterday, I decided to try to find a place to get a new key that didn’t cost me the 20 bucks the dealer charged…tried the Ace hardware that I use for the fasteners and other little things that you can only get at a real hardware store…they will even sell you one bolt if you need it…not like the big boxes where you have to buy twenty when you need one. So, they had the blank that matched the real key for the car and I was expecting to pay 7-10 dollars for it but was pleasantly surprised that it only cost $3.30 for the key…and after listening to a friend of mine with a modern car whose key has a chip in it that costs $250 dollars to replace, it just reinforces the idea that I love simple cars that don’t have that nonsense on them….after all, cars were around for a hundred years before chips…geez…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
