Well….it has been a busy day today and I am now just getting to relax for the first time….I was out doing my second 15 miles of the day since the weather was so nice and I do need to get 40 more miles in before the 1st of May….but that was derailed a little when I broke a spoke on the back wheel of the bike after going over a curb to avoid some wet paint…that has never happened before on any bike that I have owned and it immediately led to the wheel warping that looked like the tire had failed…that was my first thought since the rear tire was almost worn out so I tore the thing apart and discovered the broken spoke…and, guess what? You can’t just buy a single spoke since there are different hubs that mean different lengths…so, I went over to the local bike shop and they have a machine that actually makes spokes to whatever length necessary, flattens out one end and then puts the adjustment threads on it….and he gave it to me half price at 3 bucks so that was cool….but to replace it, the entire rear wheel had to be taken apart and that is really a pain…and I am still working on getting the thing trued back up so it doesn’t wobble…that could take a while since I don’t have the specialized equipment to do it so it will take trial and error…it’s back together now and I am looking forward to the ride tomorrow to check out how the wheel and tire feel….too damn busy of a day…..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
