Well…as I said this morning, I had some problems with the bike yesterday with a loud creaking\/cracking sound coming out of the front wheel on the second ride yesterday…it was so bad that I could feel it in the handlebars so it needed attention…so when I got back here, I tore into it to see what was happening and couldn’t really find anything wrong with it but greased it and put it back together…which was a pain trying to get the bearings to stay in the inner races while I installed the outers and the axle…took 4 tries to get it right but I think I did since it was pretty much quiet on the run this morning…which I went out way too early for…on the bike before 6:30 but it was already over 60 and with very little wind so that was cool…and I hit a milestone of sorts…with the 3,486 miles on the new bike from last year, and getting to 1,514 miles this morning I got to 5,000 miles on the new bike in 13 months…not bad for an old guy…and I’ll have the last record of the highest monthly total to report later in the week…have already broken it but it remains to be seen by how much….that’s why I’m still doing doubles all this week and I have to get out again in between Indy and the Coke 600 at 6 tonight…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
