Well…this morning when I got on the bike, I looked at the computer and saw that I only had 46 miles to go to get to 4800 miles and, you know what comes next, I decided to do the 46 miles in one ride and got started…after 40 miles, my legs gave up and I hurt frickin everywhere so I cut the ride short and came home…the thing is, you would think that 40 miles would be enough and there shouldn’t be any guilt from not reaching my initial goal…but, that’s not me…I’ve been sitting here thinking if I should go back out and do another 20 to make up for it…but I’m resisting it after hobbling out to take care of the gardens and feeling the pain in my legs that is everywhere from my hips down to my feet…I guess I have to realize that I’m not young anymore..and I did do 34 miles in one ride yesterday so maybe that’s enough to make the guilt go away?
