{"id":25705,"date":"2022-08-10T14:01:20","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T18:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jamesdevol.com\/?p=25705"},"modified":"2022-08-10T14:02:15","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T18:02:15","slug":"trail-weirdness-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jamesdevol.com\/?p=25705","title":{"rendered":"Trail weirdness&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well&#8230;haven&#8217;t done one of these in a while and could have with the fox that ran across the trail in front of me yesterday, but today was weirder and I wanted to share it&#8230;after I did the first ride I was coming back past the coles bakery and marina around 8 or so and there was nothing unusual there&#8230;just boats and the nice smell of baking bread&#8230;and then I did the grocery run and read the news a bit and got back on the bike by a little before ten&#8230;and that put me at the coles marina at about 10 and I was shocked to see a small deer lying on the side of the trail with it&#8217;s belly ripped open in an area where the only traffic is bikes, walkers, and runners so it couldn&#8217;t have been a car doing the damage&#8230;.now it could have been one of the electric bikers riding one of those huge things that weigh 150 pounds without a rider&#8230;.but I don&#8217;t think a bike would tear the animal open&#8230;so that makes me think it was some kind of a predator but during the day?
