Well….have just been watching a special on the Who’s “Quadrophenia” that was talking to the remaining band members about making the album…and one thing struck me..or a thought struck me when they were showing “Love, reign oe’r me”, one of my favorite Who songs when it was being done live back in ’73… I’ve started to not want to share the emotionally wrenching songs with a crowd…I am starting to prefer to listen to those alone since the reactions of others pollute what I’m feeling…or, maybe it’s that you have to be guarded in public settings and keep the mask on that you show to the world? I guess I just don’t want to share the moment with anyone…maybe that is a product of being alone most of the time? Who knows?
