Well….as I said earlier, this is going to be a post that will ruffle some feathers given the military fetish this country has….watching the races yesterday and it being Memorial Day today, I was struck by the fake regard that was woven through the broadcasts….with Nascar going so far as to put the names of soldiers who were killed in action on the windshields of all of the cars in the race. Now, I think it’s fine to honor people who died in service to this country but, really, isn’t there a better thing we could do? Like maybe not get them killed in the first place? That is the only thought that pops into my head when I hear of people that were killed in the fake, trumped up war in Iraq…a war that didn’t need to happen and that destabilized the entire region and has cost the US almost 8 trillion dollars…I think it’s time to rethink the ever growing military and the budget for it…it’s time to bring the troops home and let the rest of the world take care of itself…no more death for our soldiers…..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
