Well…the condemnation has been lifted! After the two and a half months of work and getting the windows in today, the inspector came and approved of all of the work and I am now out of the clutches of the city…and the guys who did the windows did a really nice job but they backed their damn truck into one of the aluminum awnings over the windows and crushed it and now that has to be replaced and won’t match the rest of them…but I told my son and he really doesn’t care so I guess I can live with it. For the first time in the life of that house, there was a cool breeze blowing through it with the windows open and that just made it so much nicer…and the windows are pretty cool in that you can take them apart to clean them with just the push of a button. Now it’s just the detail work to do with the bills and getting the water turned on…I did get the gas bill put into my name today and am going to try to get the electric done tomorrow…and my son is working on getting the water turned on since he is the owner and the only one that the city will allow to do it….and that will take almost two weeks so I am bumping up against my deadline of mid October since I still need to clean the entire house before I start putting my stuff in…going to be a busy few weeks…but, not tonight…I am going to reward myself with some cocktails and a little rest tonight..it has been a long day…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
