Well…yeah, it’s my birthday and for the first time in 50 years I can’t go out for drinks with friends…and it’s all the idiot trump’s fault…he took a whole damn year away from me, one that was supposed to have the enjoyment of city living in it…going to Blues on the Mall and other concerts and hitting a few bars to hang out with friends…and riding my bike into town to just take in the energy that was there until trump screwed us all…and no tequila shots with K at the Mex place or sitting with T at the Chance and laughing our butts off…what the hell kind of a birthday is it when you can’t do any birthday stuff on that one day that is yours alone? Okay, so it isn’t mine alone…my oldest brother and I share a birthday 13 years apart…and I talked to him today for a couple of hours and it has been years since I heard from him so that was a cool thing…and he wants to sell me an 800 dollar bike for 50 bucks that he can’t ride any more with his knee problems so I’m going to buy it just to have a spare and a different one to ride sometimes…so that will be 4 bikes that I own and I wonder if it’s turning into a collection? Still haven’t heard from K or C today and I really expected it…or two of my sons but that is pretty normal so no big deal….cripes, I just realized how small my circle has become…I did buy myself a small steak to have for dinner today just for a little treat and I bought some better whiskey for manhattans for tonight…going all the way with BV instead of McMasters but for one day, I think I really can splurge a little….I sure hope the storms that are coming wait until after the races from Bristol tonight since even a light rain seems to put the power out around here and I just don’t need another outage on my damn birthday…after the restrictions are lifted, can I have a do over for my birthday?
