Well…just got back from looking at the house and my brother is going to put an offer in this morning…pretty nice house…new roof, windows, furnace, water heater and the basement is painted and clean…quiet neighborhood and a double lot with a porch on the front that is enclosed…and the neighborhood is in transition with new houses going up just across the alley at the back…and it’s only a mile to the bike trails that go all the way to Montague and it’s only a mile and a half to Lake Michigan and the state park and a city park on the water…so there will be swimming! They are asking 80K but my offer is going to be 90K to make sure I get it….and even with that my payment is only going to be 500 bucks a month including taxes and insurance…it does need some work but it’s just stuff I can do like painting…and I do need to buy a washer but there is a dryer and kitchen appliances that work so I don’t need to buy those….oh, and it has a garage with an opener so I don’t need to buy that…needless to say, I’m pretty excited…and I do have my fingers crossed….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
