Well…the SC just made a ruling that I thought I’d never see again in my lifetime….with the court allowing the repubs to cheat in drawing voting districts across the country, it was widely expected they would do the same in a case on gerrymandering in Alabama…but damn, I’m shocked that they ruled that the districts there have to be redrawn…it was a close 5-4 ruling but Roberts and Kavanaugh joined the real jurists to make the right decision…what the repubs did in Alabama was to take a majority black district and redrew it to eliminate that seat leaving the 25% of the population there with only one minority rep and making sure the new seat could only be won by a white repub…and I guess in this one instance, that was just too much cheating for the court…and with this ruling, a case in Mississippi that was on hold pending a decision will be redrawn along with districts in a couple of other states that should make taking back the house a bit easier in 24….I am still sitting here shocked…geez…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
