Well…with the repubs doing there best to essentially end immigration here in the US, an unintended consequence is that bordering countries such as Canada now have a huge pool of talented people that used to come here and contribute to our economy that are going there instead…over the past few months, Canada has instituted a new program that welcomes skilled tech workers and give them permanent residence after 6 months of working in the country…and in the first lottery, over 10,000 workers applied and were accepted in 48 hours…and now since the program is so successful, employers are now asking for the program to be expanded…and with a permanent green card issued after 6 months, the workers are free to change jobs which keeps employers from exploiting them by paying less than market pay and that doesn’t depress Canadian citizen’s wages…this is what happens when you legislate for the good of the country and not to promote racist hate as the repubs do here….so dems, we need to vote these assholes out so we can get this country moving forward again…geez…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
