Well…damn, yesterday Sly Stone and today Brian Wilson…I so remember the song “Hot Fun in the Summertime” the year I got my driver’s license and having it blare out of the AM radio of my 62 Comet…that song always made me smile and still does…and Brian Wilson? The first record I ever owned was “Little Deuce Coupe” that my older sister got me for my birthday when I was 11 and I just loved the California sound that came from Brian…one of my favorite songs of all time is “Wouldn’t it be Nice” that showed me what came with growing up and the wistfulness that came with it…”wouldn’t it be nice if we were older, then we wouldn’t have to wait so long, and wouldn’t it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?” Simple but profound at the same time…RIP Sly and Brian…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
