Well…you know it may not be an optimal day when you break a pedal on the bike 7 miles away from home…and that happened to me on the 2nd ride when the right pedal failed on the boardwalk and just fell off the shaft that it rotates on…so I had to ride back here pushing the pedal back on the shaft all the way…what a pain but I got pretty good at keeping it on and still made good time coming back…and I always have spare pedals in the cabinet just for this kind of thing and I didn’t need to dip into the new pair but used a new one that was in another box in the cabinet on my bike shelf…so, I changed that out pretty easily and will be back out there in shorts again tomorrow with the low only getting down to 56…and I have one more day of that before it gets cold again…after I got back here, I jumped right into picking up the first batch of leaves that took longer than I expected with filling 8 bags and I wasn’t done til almost 11am making it 6 hours of busy, busy…but then all I did was read off and on this afternoon…I did get my new medicare card today so I’m all set with that for another year and that takes a load off…tomorrow looks pretty easy since I’m doing the grocery run on it’s normal day this week and that leaves me free to work on the back door if the part gets here…okay…time to look for something on tv for tonight…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
