Well…no political one today since I have been working on the car for a couple of hours and I am dirty, sweaty and worn out…mashed my finger, too, which makes typing a pain, too. As you know, I’ve been having some problems with the clutch actuation on the car for a while and yesterday, on the way over to meet G, the thing was barely releasing; starting just an inch or so off the floor and just so inconsistent….so, this morning I decided to check everything out and found that the clutch slave cylinder was leaking into the boot which means it needs to be replaced asap….so, i bike over to the zone and got a new one for 20 bucks, got back here, and found that I didn’t have the 12mm short socket I needed to get the bolts out, so back to the zone for the socket and then it was going well until the vacuum pump I bought specifically for this job wouldn’t pull a vacuum so I had to bleed it the old fashioned way for one person….pump the pedal up, then take a piece of angle aluminum I had laying around and wedge it between the pedal and the seat to hold it…then walk around to open the bleeder, and repeat 5 times until no air…seems to be okay but we’ll see tomorrow when I take it out….until then…it’s break time…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
