Well…after tangling with the IRS again for a measly 500 bucks or so…it just pissed me off when I was reminded about GE and how they have been able to manage their tax liability…and, by manage I mean avoid paying any taxes at all. Over the past three years, on 28 billion dollars in income, GE has paid no taxes…in fact, they have used the code written for them to get over 3 billion dollars in refunds…yep, folks…you and I are paying GE 3 billion dollars out of our taxes to bribe them to stay in the US…not that being here is the reason the company exists…that US markets have gotten it to where it is today…no, it is from their wonderful business savvy…if you can’t recognize it, that last part was all snark…the infrastructure, the education, and the market they depend on is all paid for by us and they use if for free since they don’t pay taxes…talk about free riders and takers….how many people would it take to take the 3 billion dollars they take every year?
