Well….in a haze of boredom, I was just surfing through Netflix and came upon a documentary called “The Unbelievers” about Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss and their efforts to promote science and reason instead of the superstition that is religion. It was surprising to see some famous people who “came out” as atheists in this film but also refreshing….people like Adam Savage from Mythbusters….Penn Gillette, Cameron Diaz, Woody Allen and many other people who have embraced the idea that religion needs to go. One of the signs that I saw in the crowd at the biggest atheist rally in history in Washington summed up the contrast…”Science flies people into space…religion flies people into buildings…” Might make that my sig line over at Kos for a while….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
