Well…this site was down for a bit and I’m in the middle of a bike ride…will be back in a half hour to add to this…more later…okay, I’m back so let’s get to it…damn, I’m getting tired of the cold…it’s almost April and the high is going to be 35 degrees today…but it does look like we’ll get to the 50’s next week so I’ll be able to get outside on the bike and get caught up on the miles…slept okay last night but I had to slather voltaren and biofreeze on since everything hurt…and it still does so I’ll do that again after the second ride…other than that ride, don’t have much to do today so I’m going to take the afternoon off and read some…the wind just howled out here yesterday and it’s going to start up again this afternoon…so I’ll have to pick up more branches from the yard…I did get some of the grass seed to sprout where the the tree was taken out but not much in the other two spots I seeded….not much to do today…just need to get back on the bike in 15 minutes but I’m going to finish the coffee first….more later…

Well…damn, my eyes are really bad this morning and I think part of it is my flaring allergies…I am just so worn out today that it is going to be a struggle to get on the bike in 14 minutes…slept okay last night with only getting up once at around 3 and then lying there in bed until a little after 6…but that means only about 4 hours of real sleep and I am going to be worn out later…have been on the bike for almost 90 days in a row and I’m feeling it…I’m not as sore as I was fearing after getting three rides in yesterday and riding out in the wind…I did hurt my ribs again and that sucks…but it’s not as bad as before so I think it’s healing some…might do the grocery run this morning since I’m running out of milk and it’s only going to be in the 30’s tomorrow…damn, I want spring to come…don’t have a lot to get at the grocery stores this week and I want to continue cleaning out the freezer…have had onion rings in there for two weeks and haven’t even opened them yet but I still have ham and pizza leftovers that will last the rest of the week…then I’ll make it a project to eat freezer food for a couple of weeks…not much to do today…need to get moving right now but the coffee is not working yet and I have no energy at all…but I’ll suck it up and get on the bike right now…more later…

Well…had a good day today with getting two rides in downstairs and then straight out to do an outdoor one for almost 30 miles today didn’t have any cleaning to do today other than the dishes I used to cook with and two plates from lunch and dinner…so, I had the chance to read a bit and I’m going back to that here in a minute…it did rain some this afternoon and it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow so I think I do the grocery run so I can drive the car in it and get the residual salt off it that can only be done by driving miles in the rain…might stop at menards tomorrow to get the spring lawn food I need to put on soon… but we’ll see…have to look at the ad first so I’ll do that right now…

Well…up around 3 am today but I was able to get back to sleep until a little after 6…not really sleep but in and out of light sleep so I wonder if that counts as sleep? Need to get on the bike in 20 minutes and I’m really having a hard time getting going…I would really like to get an outdoor ride in today but the wind is going to be blowing 20-30 mph today and I am barely healed from the last time I rode in winds like that…my ribs on the left side still hurt every time I move and I don’t want to hurt them again…had a nice day yesterday with my son and his wife coming out here and bringing their 130 pound Rottweiler…Art is such a sweet dog but he stepped on my foot and now I have a bruise but that’s okay…and we had red beans a rice along with a loaf of sourdough bread that my son baked just before they came out…hadn’t seen them in almost a year and it was fun to have them out…sent them home with a container of my turkey soup that I hope they like…not much to do today…just the bike rides and trying to get an outdoor ride in before the rain starts but it doesn’t look good…we are under another gale watch with winds of 20-30 and gusts to 50…just another normal day here…more later…

Well…damn, I’m exhausted again today but I just started the first cup of coffee so I’m hoping it will start to work soon…much of the snow melted yesterday even though it never got over 35 and that was welcomed after it being so cold lately…still waiting for spring to happen and it still isn’t going to until April or later…had an okay day yesterday and got some cleaning done and I need to finish up putting stuff away this morning…it’s only 25 degrees right now and I won’t be out on the bike today…so that means I need to get on the indoor bike in 25 minutes to get two rides in before 10…but I sure don’t feel like it right now….it will be nice to have the house cleaned this week after all the work I’ve done to get ready for today…and that means I won’t have any cleaning to do this week…yay! Not too sore today and I know it’s from not riding outdoors so that will end when I get out tomorrow but I haven’t been outdoors in two weeks and I can’t wait to see what has changed when I finally got out on the trail…not much to today…just need to get the rides in and put stuff away before noon when my son is coming…more later…

Well…as I sit here watching the last of the race, it feels good to know that the house is clean everywhere…worked on the kitchen and bathroom today…the only thing I have left to do is bag up all the junk mail and put it out…it never got over 35 here today but it was sunny most of the day so a good portion of the snow melted and I may be able to get outdoors on the bike after my visitors take off tomorrow…it is going to nice to see my son and DIL and their dog tomorrow and they are bringing red beans and rice for lunch…have always wanted to try that dish so that will be cool…and it will stretch out my leftovers for another day…so I won’t be cooking at all this week and I don’t mind that…got the notice that the service for my brother is going to be held on the 13th of April out in Grandville on Chicago Drive at 10am…

Well…had a little problem with the car…a squealing the alternator belt on start up that went on for a minute or so that had gotten really annoying so yesterday, when I was making the pizza on the grill, I dragged my tools out to the garage to take a look at it since I didn’t remember how to tighten the belt…once I looked at it I just about kicked myself for letting it go on so long…the adjustment bolt was easy to get to and in about a minute, I had the belt tightened…fired the car up with the heater fan on high and and there was no squeal so I’m pretty sure it’s fixed…now if the heater core would stop leaking but it can’t be leaking much since I checked the coolant after the run into town and it’s still full…think I’ll be able to cripple it in for the service on April 13th…

Well…damn, I am getting to really hate snow this year…we’ve gotten 6 inches out here today and have even had some foot deep snow drifts with all the high wind we’ve had…I did get the big ham heated up for lunch and made some gravy for the mashed potatoes and have everything cleaned up and I did go out and shovel the snow but it is snowing again and for the next few hours according to the radar…I did start cleaning the kitchen up and still have the stove to do and the sink and countertops but I want to let the dishes in the drainer dry so I can clean the drain board, too…I think I’m going to read a bit before I get back to cleaning since I have 3 new books going…not going to make it to 2K miles before the end of the month since I still have 304 miles to go and only 9 more days to do it…and with not being able to get outside to ride at all, the math doesn’t work and I’ll come up 140 miles short…oh, well..

Well…got a lot of work done yesterday and will need to keep that up today to finish up the cleaning before Sunday…not going to do the bathroom until Sunday morning so I guess today will be the kitchen…I do have to make the big ham I got wed with mashed potatoes and gravy to go with the pizza I made yesterday so I won’t have to cook again for a week or so…it’s snowing out here and will be all day it appears and it is sticking to the roads with the temp only at 27 and that sucks…not going to shovel, though, since it will melt tomorrow…must have slept wrong last night and have pain in my neck on the left side that I’ll need to treat with so biofreeze before I get on the bike in a bit…only have 9 days to get to 2K miles and it appears like I won’t make it with not being able to ride outdoors…but I can make up for it once it warms up…man, I’m tired today and really don’t feel like getting on the bike but I will around 7….so that gives me 11 minutes to drink coffee and I need to choke down a cup before I get going…..not much to do today…just the bike rides, cooking, and cleaning and I may cut out some time to read later…a pretty quiet day….more later…

Well…got lots of work done around here today and I needed to…go on the bike by 6:30 and finished the second ride about 9…then out to the library to get a few more books and got started on the pizza for lunch and this time I left it on the grill long enough that the crust was crispy and it came out of the pan with no drama…not like the last one that I mangled trying to get it out….then I tore the couch apart and washed the cover, vacuumed the cushions and rotated them, then put it all back together and cleaned my coffee table and vacuumed the rug in here…oh, and the package from amazon came and I think I like the new trimmer and I know I just love the new swimsuit I bought…fits perfectly and is made out of what looks like pretty durable fabric…and it’s the perfect length and for under 20 bucks…now I just need to maintain my weight for the summer so I can get some swims in…and I went with black since I’m not into bright colors anymore…still too damn cold to get outside on the bike today since it never even got to 30 here…and now we have a winter weather advisory here…just too damn weird…
