Well…it’s been a pretty normal day so far today and I did get a few things done…didn’t snow much overnight but the came through and plowed the streets again so I had a foot and a half of snow in the mouth of the alley I had to clear and then I did the front sidewalk just for the heck of it…got the cleaning in the living room almost done to get ready for the tech coming tomorrow…and ate a way too big lunch so I may leave that as the only meal today….going to warm up and get ugly tomorrow through Thursday and then back into the deep freeze…going to need to do the grocery run Wed since the 8 inches of ice in the alley are going to turn into 8 inches of slush and I don’t think even the new tires can cope with that…but I guess we’ll see…

Well…I don’t remember being this sore in quite a while as the two day rule kicks in…just had to take an ibuprofen since I can barely move…everything hurts so I’m going to have to take a day off but I still need to shovel the 4 inches of snow we got last night…and that makes almost 20 inches in the past 3 days and I am getting tired of it…it’s pretty damn depressing to have this crap piling up every day…I do need to clean this place up with the comcast tech coming tomorrow to figure out why my internet is screwed up…up at 4am today but stayed in bed til 5:40 but that is still too damn early to be up every day…don’t have a lot to do today but clean and I’m going to ease into it…just need to rest and have some coffee before my old body will get moving…more later….

Well…after the move yesterday and then shoveling the 8 inches of snow that fell yesterday and overnight, I am so damn sore that I can barely get up off the couch…and I think I tore something in my left bicep since I can barely move it and it hurts like fire whenever I move it…and my right hip is sore and stiff and I can barely walk…so there will be more ibuprofen later…and then I’ll be back out shoveling again since we are getting another 4-6 inches today…okay, so now my right bicep hurts, too…crap, it’s going to take me a week to heal up from this…too damn old for this but I know we are committed to moving large appliances in a couple of weeks…darn…

Well…up and moving at 5:14 this morning and that really shows that no matter how much work I do, I won’t sleep much…I should have poured myself into bed early and then slept in but that was not ever going to happen…I’m sore everywhere so today will be a take it easy day after I get the weight work in, the rides, and then shoveling the snow that piled up yesterday…my internet is screwed up and comcast is coming Tuesday to take a look at it…it freezes up constantly and that sucks…it’s only 10 degrees out there right now and it is supposed to warm up this week and were forecast to get an inch of rain Thursday with the warm up…not much to do today…have to start cleaning this place up but I really need a day off so I may wait til Monday for that…it sucks that I can’t watch soccer with the internet really bad so I’ll just read I guess…more later…

Well…darn, I’m used up from 8 hours of moving today and I know I’m going to hurt pretty bad after all of the abuse from lifting, carrying, and walking and I’ve got a huge bruise on my left hand…so beat that I skipped shoveling when I got home and I’ll do that tomorrow since I really am tired…but she’s in the condo now so I don’t have to think about that…I have until the 22nd of the month off and I am going to revel in taking it easy and reading…we did have a bunch of help so that was nice but we still have the washer and dryer to move along with the microwave and dishwasher…but now I’m going to rest and watch some tv and have a cocktail later….

Well…up at 4:14 and out of bed before 6 and I need to pour coffee down to get ready for the last moving day I’m ever going to do…but it’s my job as part of a family to do this…it’s only 19 degrees out there so I’m going to have to dress for it with my boots, long johns, and stocking hat but before that I need to get my butt moving to get the weight work in and one ride done before I get picked up at 8:30…should be back here by 5 or so and then the next week is empty until I need to get blood drawn on the 22nd…I am going to revel in having a week that there is nothing to do…I did discover a couple of new authors to read and now I have 6 books to read over the next week…no cooking to do today after doing the big ham yesterday…but that gives me the ingredients for omelets this week….more later…

Well…made a big ham on the grill today and it came out good and I even made stuffing and green bean casserole to go with it…but I ate so much for lunch that it will be a one meal day today…and I ran an errand to get more books and pick up some stuff I forgot at Meijers and driving the car with the new tires still amazes me…effortless and no stress at all…and the cars computer finally reset itself so it idles perfectly again…it had been hunting around and almost stalling when I stopped at stop signs and that is now gone…yay! Didn’t get anything else done today but the normal stuff and cooking and cleanup but that’s enough for one day…sure hope they plow the alley next week when it gets over 40 and turns the 8 inches of ice into slush or I’ll have to go out and shovel it…crap…

Well…up at 4:04 this morning and out of bed by 5:30 and I’m not sure why I think that’s okay…I mean I don’t sleep a lot and that leaves me worn out all day…I know I could take something for it and I just might tonight…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but shoveling the alley out and today looks a lot the same but I am going to cook the big ham on the grill today and that will feed me for a week or so but I forgot a bunch of stuff so there will be a run to Meijers after I hit the library for more books…going to do the full boat holiday food today with mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and stuffing…and I really do need to eat more than I have been so this will help…need to get the weight work in and one ride before I head out so I need to get moving right now….more later…

Well…I wonder if the new neighbors did too good a job of getting the city to plow up here? Over the past few days the truck have come around 3 times with today’s run with the big plows on the front of the trucks to push the snow piles back to the curbs…so I had to take the spade out so I could shovel the sidewalk out to the street…twice…and the latest time they threw 100 pound chunks of the snow piles that I had to lift and throw into the snowbanks….and then I had to shovel the end of the alley out…again twice…and they left behind a 3 feet deep blockage and that added to the pain that came from shoveling the 3 inches of slush with 2 inches of snow over it yesterday…my arms are just killing me and I will be taking an ibuprofen later…the slush in the alley refroze overnight so I shouldn’t have any problem getting out for the library run tomorrow…the weather was so bad yesterday that the schools were closed and the library didn’t open til noon…felt good being able to get around in that with no problem…more damn snow than I’ve seen in the years I’ve been out here…

Well…slept in all the way to 5:24 this morning…yeah, that’s sarcasm…feel so damn worn out this morning that all I want to do is sleep some more but I’ve started the coffee so that’s not going to happen…just feel so damn old and nothing I can do is going to change that…have one more book to read before I head to the library tomorrow but I’ll have to shovel the alley if I’m going to get out even with the new tires…but that will be after the weight work and rides…might cook the big ham on the grill today so I’ll have food for the next week but I may wait til tomorrow…didn’t eat much yesterday and I know I need to have a minimum of calories but when you can’t taste anything that makes it much harder…it’s a little after 6 and I just can’t get going and the coffee is not helping at all…oh, well…only did one ride yesterday and now I feel like a slug for not getting enough exercise…so I’ll fix that today…it didn’t snow overnight so I’ll only have to clear the alley today but that is going to be a chore after the slush froze overnight…more later…
