Well…darn, it appears that every day is a busy day now…worked on stuff all day and I am just now getting done after dinner…did the grocery runs and got lots of stuff from DD including boneless skinless chicken thighs for 1.60 a pound so I bought 5 lbs to fill the freezer…got a 20 oz package of black forest ham for 3 bucks and a pound of summer sausage for 1.99…so I have plenty of food to go with the lasagna I made for dinner…after the run, I got on the bike for two rides that were pretty good with very little wind today and being able to go out in just a t-short and shorts…then I got the laundry done and planted all of the rest of the veggie seeds next to the house in the last part of open dirt I have…still need to finish up planting the garden but I’m going to wait a while for that….going to mix some tomatoes, beans and peppers in with the flowers along the back of the house…I’m not sure what it going on with the garden but the tomatoes I planted earlier this week are starting to die so I may have a fungus or something so I do need back that up  with planting somewhere else…I even used potting soil to put the tomatoes in with so I have no clue….need to have the grass wet when I put the weed and feed on so I’ll do that in the morning before the grass dries out….so it will be another busy one tomorrow…of course…

Well…running a little late today with not getting out of bed til after 7 and I am worn out…had to make another noise call last night and I am getting damn tired of it…two frickin years of this crap…I think the worst people in the world live here….I decided on a plan for the leftover plants in the cups last night along with the leftover seeds, and I’m going to plant them all in the bare corner at the back of the house…every flower and veg seed that I have in the packets…that may be fun to see what comes up if anything does…but I need to get the weed and feed on the lawn first…not sure how much energy I have to do another work day like yesterday but I do know I need to get the two rides in today first…and my credit card bill didn’t come so I have to stop at the bank this morning to pay that…DD has boneless, skinless chicken thighs on sale for 1.60 a pound so I’m going to head over there later to pick up 5 pounds for 8 bucks…need to find some recipes to use them…I wonder if there is a chicken/sausage recipe that I can use? Not much to do today…need to get going for the grocery run here in a few minutes but sure don’t feel like it right now….I’m getting old…more later…

Well…man, it’s been another busy day today with getting the two rides in, making lunch, then edging all the sidewalks, and mowing the lawn…then I jumped in the car to hit Menards for a big bag of weed and feed since I have too many weeds to use the liquid stuff…and it needs food, too with how sandy the soil is up here…even got some beans and peppers planted and moved the rest of the cups outside so I could turn the light off…finally…I have so many extra plants that I am going plant some tomatoes in with the flowers along the back of the house since the garden is not big enough for them….but, I’m leaving them in the cups until they get bigger…maybe a couple of weeks…if everything lives, the garden is going to be pretty crowded this year…

Well…up at 4 and then out of bed a little after 6 today and I’m feeling  worn out today….it’s going to be a busy day today with getting two rides in and edging the sidewalks along with mowing the lawn…not really looking forward to all the work…cripes, it’s only 44 out there so the rides are going to wait a couple of hours til it gets over 50 so what the heck do I do til then? It appears that the tomato plants survived overnight with the rain and I still have over 30 of them downstairs that need to be planted and I have been thinking of mixing them in with the flowers at the back of the house like I had last year…not going to throw them away after I plant the garden…it has been a struggle to get things going this year and having them survive is not a given….but the trial end of the garden is sprouting and I can’t wait to see what it is going to look like…I need a day off…even being retired, I still can’t just waste a day doing nothing and I think that needs to change….it would be luxurious to just watch movies all day and do what I want….but, I won’t….not much to do today…yeah, that’s not true…once the day gets rolling it’s going to be busy and I see the heating pad being necessary….getting old is hard work…more later…

Well…finally got some work done today when I heard the string trimmer calling my name…hadn’t had it out this year and the yard was looking pretty shaggy so just before it started to rain hard I dug it out, changed the edger out for the trimmer attachment and got to work…tried to start it about 20 times and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t start until I remembered that you have to turn the ignition switch to on…one pull and it was running and I got almost the entire yard done before I had to put some more string in it…and that’s easy to do so no big deal…I needed to break the yard work up to keep from hurting myself but it only half worked…my right side hurt like I’ve strained it so I’ll put heat on it later after I get ready to take it easy for the night…but, I’m not there yet…I was going to plant the peppers and beans today but the rain looked like it was going to be pretty heavy so I thought I’d wait a day and do that tomorrow…fingers crossed that the tomatoes I’ve planted will survive the rain…

Well…running a bit late this morning with not getting out of bed til 7…only woke up once at 4 so I think I can consider that a good night…need to get moving here in a half hour or so to get two rides in before the rain comes in this afternoon…might plant some beans and peppers before that since it’s not supposed to storm and I need to get that done…I was looking forward to having a day off yesterday but it didn’t happen…the storms that were forecast didn’t happen and I should be used to that by now…I have a green pepper in the fridge that I am going to strip the seeds out of and plant…could use as many green peppers as I can get since none of them survived last year….didn’t get much done but planting the tomatoes yesterday and today will probably be much the same…there is soccer on today but I really don’t care much about it with Man U losing yesterday…damn they have been stinking up the place lately…have been treating a plantar wart on my left foot and the band aid I put on it let me walk without pain for the first time in quite a while…damn, I hate getting old….not much to do today…I am bone tired today and should rest but you know I won’t….going to drag myself out and get going soon…but I’m not sure if I’m going to like it….more later…

Well…I notice something shaving this morning and getting ready to shower after the bike rides…for the first time since I was in my 20’s I can see my collar bones with all of the weight I’ve lost…and that is really strange for me…one bad thing I saw was that I am starting to get deep lines on my face as I lose weight, too…and now I really do look my age I think…oh, well…I did get some plants planted today with putting 8 tomato plants in and some others, too…have lots of stuff coming up in the trial end of the garden where I’m putting in stuff that I’ve never grown before but I forgot to do a map of it so I’m just going to have to wait to see what is where…and that will be fun…and I planted a potato that has sprouted and I have another one to cut up….need to go out and put cups over the tomatoes since it may storm tonight….

Well…that was better…slept through most of the night and didn’t get out of bed til 6:21…had some dreams that blew away before I could remember them as I normally can…I wonder if I’m going to have to suffer a night of bad sleep before I can have a good one? Seems to be the pattern right now and it’s wearing on me….had an okay day but my first wet one on the bike and that was not pleasant…the wind has been crazy out here…okay, no…it’s been normal from my experience…it always blows like crazy out here….but it appears to have moderated some overnight..we were supposed to get storms all night and all day today but the radar says otherwise and I may even be able to get out on the bike today…don’t know if I should…could use a day off but do need to make up for the week off that is coming up after the next biopsy on the 22nd….have to figure out meals for the next few days and get something out of the freezer…had a pork chop and two soft tacos yesterday and that left me under 1K calories for the day and I’ll take that…have a damn plantar wart on my left foot that is making it painful to walk that I am treating with some wart remover and hope I don’t have to have it  burned off like the last time…not much to do today…was really looking forward to a day off today and to be forced to rest but the storms are doing what they seem to do a lot…splitting Muskegon and going to the north and south….but I’m going to ease into it with more coffee and some soccer…more later….

Well…when today started, I had a lot of plans that involved two rides and replanting the garden but that went all to hell after the first ride…it was brutal and cold coming back into a 20 mph wind and it took me hours to warm back up again…and now I sit here sweating…and it’s been raining off and on since I did the first ride at 7:15 to miss the first wave…so now I wait…have decided to wait on the garden until Tuesday with thunderstorms forecast for tonight, tomorrow, and Monday and I want to give these plants a chance to acclimate before they get pounded…damn, I am no good at waiting, that’s for sure…a wasted day to me that I could be accomplishing things if the weather would cooperate…okay, deep breaths…nothing I can do about that but wait….crap…oh, well…here’s the weird thing…it’s raining and my back windows are wet but it’s not raining hard enough to wet anything else hardly…at least it’s over 60 out here…much better than the 54 when I went out early…

Well…damn, that sucks…woke up at 4:13 and didn’t get back to sleep so out of bed before 6 and that is with staying up later than normal for me…so I’m going to be dragging all day and have too much to do for that…I can get out on the bike as soon as it gets light since it is already 57 out there and I should be able to get the second one in by 10…I am going to have to take the day off the bike tomorrow with the build up up niggling little pains that are in my legs…even my Achilles tendons are stiff and hurt and I already have the heating pad on my right thigh since that hurt the worst yesterday….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but need to do better today and will try with planting some of the garden after the rides…it is supposed to storm tonight and through Monday so I hope the new plants survive it….will get tomatoes. beans, and peppers in and I forgot that I need to make pockets of potting soil to transplant them into so they will get a head start…forgot to do that with the first batch and I think that is part of why they didn’t take….not much to do today….just need the coffee to start working right now…the birds are already banging on the feeder and it’s just light….not looking forward to riding this morning….sure hope the wind is not blowing to hard today….more later…
