Well…it feels a little weird to be able to come here and do this again but I relish getting my day started the right way again…slept okay last night but feel a little worn out today and I think it’s from not eating enough…again…and I don’t think I’ll fix that even though I’ve got a freezer full of food…have some thighs left to just heat but I’m not sure what the 2nd meal will be…might make some stir fry chicken or Meijers has some pasta salad kits on sale for a buck so I may take a look at those today…it’s only 55 out there right now so it’s going to be a cool one on the bike today but I’m not sure if that means long pants on the bike today…I do need to clean the glass on the car again since the windshield is still streaky and I don’t think I used enough ammonia the last time…it’s a new coffee day today and I think I’m going to start using the 6+ pounds of whole beans I have for a while to make the next pot…not much to do today…just going to ease into it this morning and read some news since I do need a topic for later….more later….

Well…damn, I don’t know if I can convey how much I missed doing this after 12 years and over 13,000 of these…it’s as if my life is whole again today and now all I have to do is go back to normal and start reading the news again to come up with topics…and I know I’ve whined about having to do that every day but I won’t do that again…I mean it helps get me through the day and releases the anger I feel about what’s going on in this country…so tomorrow, I get to get up and come here first thing like I have for more than a decade to start my day…and it’s just such a relief…and I hope some of you discover that I’m back and come for a visit…

Well…had a pretty good day today with getting this place running again and having a little dustup with one of my sons…but we fixed that and aired out a bunch of stuff…and I found out who has been pressuring my son to cut off contact with me..and we have tentative plans to meet my granddaughter when my son has some vacation in November…so that worked out but I’ll believe it when I’m in front of her…skipped the weight work today since I didn’t feel like it but I still may do it after I read a bit…saw a big group of 15 turkeys along the trail this morning and they were pretty funny as were the deer I saw…okay, time for some reading…

Well…still haven’t figured out what happened to the font to make it so small but I’ll soldier on as best I can…man, it’s been hard to not do these for the past couple of weeks but now I’ll have to get back up to speed…have had a good week this week with getting the rides in every day and then going over 7,000 miles for the year today…so that means I should get to 8K for the year by the end of it…nothing much else has happened really…just normal days of reading and taking it easy…I did talk to my son today and blasted at him a bit…but we settled that and it looks like I’ll be heading over there in November to meet my granddaughter and I’m pretty geeked about that…and I like the effort he’s made to stay in contact with me as his mother and brother keep putting heat on him to not talk to me anymore…and with him having a toddler and a disabled wife I think he’s working his butt off just to stay above water…so I’ll be back in a bit to do more of these…won’t get caught up for the month but I’ll end the month on the upswing…

Well…have been down for a couple of weeks but just got it going again a few minutes ago…but the print is way too small and weird so I’ll try to fix that and come back

Well…it’s noon and I think I’m done for the day…got the rides in, hit the library, and fed what remains of my lawn since it’s forecast to rain tomorrow…ha,ha…the rides were great with no wind and I did take an ibuprofen since both thighs have been aching and they still do but it’s better…will get to 4,000 outdoor miles tomorrow and with the 2,620 indoor miles I’m probably going to get to around 8,000 miles for the year and that’s without any goals or 100 mile days..not bad for an old guy…and that will get me over 30,000 miles since I moved out here…it’s going to get up to 80 for a few days next week and I think that will be the last gasp for warm weather for the year and I don’t mind that…fall has always been my favorite season and I’m looking forward to that a bit…okay, time to read…

Well…it’s nice having this thing working this morning so I can get my day started right…slept okay last night and didn’t get out of be til after 6 and that has become a pattern that I don’t mind…only up once overnight and that is a far cry from what was going on before with getting up 4 or 5 times…pretty sore today and I may take an ibuprofen before I get on the bike…not sure why that would be but my thighs are burning as they have been for a couple of days…oh, well…I do need to hit the library after the rides today since I’m down to the last book and don’t want to run out over the weekend…I do need to feed the lawn for the last time this year today since it’s going to rain tomorrow and I would really like to get the lawn to green up some…and I need to bundle the branches I cut off the trees to put them out Tuesday…I had this thought with my debit card expiring next month…why the hell do they have to expire? I mean it’s just a way to access my checking account and it’s not like anything changes…just a pain in the butt…not much to do today…just a normal Friday that I need to get moving soon…more later…

Well…wanted something easy for dinner today so I gave the burgers I got from DD a try…they are pretty darn good and, since they are fully cooked, it only took 50 seconds in the microwave to get it hot so that works out really well…not sure how my body is going to react to the first beef in a couple of years but it should be okay…the big blue cruise ship was back again this morning for the third time in 10 days…and I saw them unload and load the tender they use to get people to shore when the ship is not at the dock…it fits in a tunnel at the back of the boat…pretty cool…I did get the 3rd book read just a few minutes ago so I can go to the library and get three more tomorrow so I’ll not run out over the weekend…didn’t do much else today other than ride and now the ARCA race from Bristol is on and then the truck race is on right after that…I still like to watch Bristol so I won’t burn any of the good shows I have left on plex…

Well…as you could see, the site was down all day yesterday and just came back up about a half hour ago so I missed a day of these…and I do miss when I can’t do this…so here we go…had an okay day yesterday and got a lot of things done…go some deals at DD of 4 pounds of sirloin burgers for 10 bucks and 24 ozs of hard salami for 1.99…yeah, I know…salami is probably the worst food but I can still taste it so I got some for the freezer…the big blue cruise ship is back for the third time in 10 days and I saw how they shuttle people in to the dock when it’s anchored off the dock…they have a little tender that they winch up into the back of the ship…probably seats a dozen people…pretty cool…and I still grin that huge cruise ships anchor 4 blocks from my house…got a couple of good rides in this morning and it was nice that there was little wind…don’t have a lot to do today but read and clean a little and finish the coffee…and try to start catching up here…more later…

Well…had a pretty productive day today and still was done just a little after 11am…started with two rides and then worked on the yard for a couple of hours…trimmed all the low hanging branches on the trees and then mowed the lawn and pulled some weeds…and finished up the book that I started yesterday and I’m about to start the 2nd one after I do this…the big blue cruise ship came in today but they couldn’t get to the dock with the Irish music festival closing the park that the dock connects to…and that’s the 2nd time they couldn’t dock in the past two weeks…DD has some deals tomorrow so I need to do three stores tomorrow…they have fully cooked steak burgers on sale for 4 pounds for 10 bucks and I have room in the freezer for them…and a 24 ounce mixed salami package for 1.99…so the freezer will be filled again after eating out of it for the past couple of weeks…think I’m going to get some chicken breasts at aldis just to have some here, too, okay, it’s time to start the new book…
