Well…another day of not getting out of bed til 5:44 and that is a win in my book…not sure why that is happening but it’s probably from being so worn out from getting out of bed before 5am for a week or so..we have another winter weather advisory on for today and I am so damn sick of the snow…need to get out tomorrow to pick up a prescription so I’ll be shoveling the alley again and my body is wearing out…and it’s only 13 degrees and getting down below zero tonight and I’m tired of the cold, too….just damn tired…but I need to get moving and get the weight work started so I can do two rides this morning…got a bunch of food that is bad for me at DD yesterday…even bought some turkey bologna for 99 cents for a pound along with some thin sliced roast beef and it will be the first time I’ve had beef in a long time…not much to do today…just need to get through the exercise to see how I fare after that…more later…

Well…I am beat today after the blizzard drives, shoveling, and surgery yesterday but I slept better and didn’t get out of bed til almost 6 and I am now running late to get things done…should have done the weight work by now but I’m not going to stress about it…couldn’t sleep on my preferred right side with the surgery and that has left me with pain in the right side of my neck…can take the bandage off the incision this morning and then I’ll leave it in the air until I get the stitches out on Feb 6th…need to hit the library today or tomorrow to reload books to read but I think I’m going to run out of authors I like and I’m not sure what to do about that…it’s been a year since I started reading a lot and I think I’ll miss it…but I’ll get more done around here…still damn cold here at 14 degrees and it’s going to be int he teens for the next week and I can’t wait for March to get here so we’ll get some relief…more later…

Well…man, the drive over to the plastic surgeon was as white knuckle as it gets and I don’t think I’ve driven in that kind of weather in years…visibility was down to zero in spots and I never got over 30 even on the expressway…and coming back it was even worse…at times the other cars disappeared into the snow and I couldn’t see them even when they were only 30 feet in front of me…lots of people had their emergency flashers on and I hadn’t ever seen that before…my car did okay except for the icy spots and I had a chore getting it going from a stop…but I just upshifted and it bit and I was even able to get back into the alley and into the garage even though there were 5 inches of snow in the alley…the surgery was pretty easy but I have 6 stitches in my face since they took an almost quarter sized chunk out of my cheek…now the waiting begins to see if it’s skin cancer or not…ick…

Well…that sucked…barely slept and tossed and turned all night and then gave up and got out of bed at 4:44…it’s snowing like crazy out there but I need to go out for the surgery this morning but I’m going to give myself time to get there since there is still ice all over the roads out here…and I’m going to start the car and let it run for 10 minutes before I leave to keep the windows from frosting over…since the surgeon is right next to meijers, I’m going to pick up the little bit of groceries I need before I come home…will have to shovel when I get back here but my back is not cooperating after all the shoveling…I’ll have to take an ibuprofen to get through it…at least it’s warm enough for the road salt to work finally but then it gets cold again Thursday…going to get the weight work and a ride in before I go and then do the 2nd one after I get back here…more later…

Well…I didn’t know that the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti were going to hurt so much…I am severely depressed about this…that thugs can murder anyone they choose and not be held accountable…okay, moving on…when I brought mail in yesterday, I had so much of it and my back hurt so much I had to sit down to read it…and the couch was filled with my laptop and other electronics…so I sat down on my coffee table and it just collapsed…I had repaired it multiple times so I wasn’t surprised…so now I’m using the maple top that used to be my stereo table sitting on a tub that I used to move with…that will work until I can get out to a 2nd hand store to buy a used one…might have to wait til it’s warm enough to put the top down…then this morning my computer froze up again and I spent an hour on the phone with Dell and we finally got it fixed…so today has been a bit of a trial and with the surgery tomorrow, that day should be, too…so no cocktails tonight…

Well…up damn early again today and I broke my coffee table sitting on it yesterday and that sucks…will need to find a thrift shop and buy another one this week…it has been coming a long time and I’ve been holding it together with wood glue but I think it’s past that…darn…just so darn worn out today and I’m not sure how much I’m going to do…it’s still only 10 degrees out there and I am tired of the cold…just another month and we should see some relief in March…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I’ve already tried to glue the table back together…not sure how it’s going to work but I had to give it a try…haven’t looked outside yet to see if it snowed overnight but I’m sure it has…but I had one day off of shoveling so I’ll have to take it…man, it’s going to be tough to get going today so I’m going to ease into it and just see how much I can do…more later…

Well…it’s been a good day so far with getting two rides in along with the weight work before 9 am…and it didn’t snow! So I didn’t need to shovel today and that will be the rest day I’ve really needed…Man U played the best match in the past couple of years and beat the 1st place Arsenal 3-2…and that goes with beating City in the Manchester Derby last week…so now they are in 4th place and eligible for the Champions League later this year if they stay there…and I cooked chicken for lunch but I still couldn’t taste it…okay, just finished the next to last book and want to start the last one…

Well…up and out of bed before 5 today and again, it’s getting damn old and I may have to do something about it tonight…had a nice visit with my son and his wife, and Art the dog yesterday and it was nice to see them…going to take care of Art for two days next week and will be staying in GR Monday night at their house since they are both going to be traveling…my daughter was in the hospital yesterday for more kidney stones and that sucks…had a gallstone attack when I was younger and it was the worst pain I can remember…watching the 24 hours of Daytona and they are under a yellow flag for hours now for heavy fog…it’s still damn cold here at 2 degrees and it needs to warm up soon but that’s not coming until later in the week…at least we didn’t get much snow but enough to shovel so I’ll be out later for that…took some chicken out of the freezer to cook today so I’ll be having a normal meal later with a baked potato and some veggies…didn’t eat enough yesterday with just a bowl of chili and a couple of eggs so I’ll have to do better today…not much to do today…need to get everything done before Man U plays at 11:30 but that should be easy….more later…

Well…got a nice call this morning from one of my sons and he is coming out to go to lunch and he is bringing Art the dog…I think it’s been a year since I’ve seen him and it will be nice hang out for a while…but that means I’ve been cleaning since 9 or so this morning and the place needed it so I’ll be happy later today since can sit here and read on a clean couch…I did get out to shovel the snow when it was -4 this morning but there’s a heat wave going on and we’re already up to 3…okay…want to read a bit before my son comes…

Well…up and moving at 5:14 this morning and that is getting old…like two weeks ago it was old but now it just sucks…didn’t sleep well at all with getting up a little after 3am and the struggling to get back to sleep…it’s -4 right now but I think we’ll be climbing out of that hole today…at least I hope we will since we’ve not been over 2 degrees for two days now and every time the furnace starts I see the dollars going up the chimney…okay…the weather widget says -5 so that’s even worse…not going out to shovel the snow until it at least gets to 0….and it’s nearly a record low for the day…it’s surely the coldest temp since I moved out here…have to figure out meals for the next few days since I don’t have any easy food to eat after finishing off the ham soup yesterday…will probably have eggs and sausage for one of them and I am thawing some chicken thighs to bake but I think they are still a lump of ice…not much to do today…need to clean the stove top and the bathroom but I need to get on the weights and bike first…more coffee…
