Well…if you wonder why the repubs all support so many unpopular policies that hurt most Americans, all you have to do is look at the greed that they exhibit every day…they don’t go into politics to make anyone’s life better…they go into politics just to grift and get rich…I mean look at the idiot trump…he’s skimmed off 3.5 billion dollars since he took office and every damn one of them is trying to do the same…I mean how do you become a millionaire on a salary of 174,000 dollars a year and live in the most expensive city in the US? Bribes, sweetheart deals, and insider trading is the way of the new repub party…I mean you only have to look at brett cavanaugh to see the graft in motion…before he was a SC justice, he was essentially broke and owed a half million bucks…that debt mysteriously disappeared and now he’s worth millions…you see how that works and the repubs have corrupted government so much that this is the new way of life for them…get elected, get rich…and that sucks…geez…

Darn, it’s covid…
Well…have been coughing like crazy for the past 5 days and I just thought it was my allergies since the goldenrod is blooming along the trail…but I used one of the covid tests just on a hunch and it appears I’ve contracted covid somehow…and that is really puzzling with all of the precautions I’ve taken since 2020…I mean I never go anywhere without using a mask and I wash my hands constantly…don’t feel bad at all…just a little sore throat and the cough…since the cough started Sunday, I’ve even ridden the bike 25 miles every day with no problems…it does kind of make sense since I thought it was the worst allergy season I ever had…especially the coughing and the little sore throat but I get that just from allergies, too…I did call my doctor and they said just to drink a lot of fluids and take it a little easier and I should feel better in another 5 days or so…oh, well…not catching covid for 5 years was a pretty good run…
August 28th
Well…that was okay for me…didn’t get out of bed til almost 6am but was up and down just like normal and I’m still waiting for the day when I’ll sleep though the night and wake up refreshed…it looks like it’s going to rain a bit this morning so I’ll be waiting a bit to get on the bike but I’ll still not believe it til I see it…I’m starting to get used to the new car and figure out how to drive it…and yeah, I think the car is getting used to me, too…I am getting under it next week to find the clutch slave cylinder so I can bleed it and make the shifts smoother…and I think the computer on it is finally adjusted to being used…I really do like it and I need to clean it again after ending the beach runs yesterday…still have lots of sand in it that will have to be removed with a tooth brush since it’s in everything…I do need to clean the living room and couch today along with the bathroom and I’ll use the time from not going to the beach to do it…but I may just ease into the day since I only have the rides to do…going to make breakfast for lunch today with a ham steak, eggs, and toast but I’m not sure what the 2nd meal will be…I just know I do have to have two meals today after having only one yesterday…probably finish up the pasta salad and then take the chicken out for Masala over the weekend…no rushing today…more later…
Last beach day…
Well…after I got the rides in and the grocery run done, I decided to go out to the beach for one last time this summer…the weather is going to change and the water is just too damn cold to swim so I was getting bored with just sitting in my chair listening to the waves…and I think most of the rest of Muskegon is thinking the same thing with only two other people on the whole beach…I did get a little color that will have to keep me until next year…I will keep looking and if we get an 80 degree day in September, I may just go out but I think freeing up the two hours it takes to do a beach run will need to be used to do something but I’m not sure what that will be yet…I did get my new little rechargeable air compressor and it it really tiny but cool for 19 bucks…and it has a cool light that is white and red and flashes 2 different speeds…so I’ll have to get my tire repair tools in the trunk to go with it…okay, time to read again…
There could be a wave…
Well…with the shock win of an Iowa senate seat, there is evidence of a dem wave building in this country since we have won almost every special election this year…and that win was by a good 14 points in a district that the idiot trump won by 11 points…so I wonder if we need to call idiot boy “the anchor” since our side is tying every repub running to the idiot and his unpopular policies…and that is something we need to keep pounding on since almost 60% of Americans think we are going the wrong way with idiot boy and his minions and their incoherent economic policies…what I haven’t seen lately are ads showing the real prices and alongside of that the idiot saying he would lower prices “on day one”…but, I am heartened that it looks like our side is finding it’s voice to fight against the fascist asshole in the WH…geez…
August 27th
Well…it’s only 45 degrees out there right now so I may not get a ride in before the grocery run and I guess I’ll have to get used to that…the seasons are changing as they always do but I think it happened a little too fast for me this year…I mean I was out at the beach last week sitting in the sun and today it’s 45? Oh, well…I did get the lawn mowed yesterday so I don’t have that to do today…I do need to clean the living room and couch today but I’m not sure I want to…I’ll think about that later…allergies seem to be better this morning but they shouldn’t be so I’ll expect they’ll flare soon…not coughing so I’ll take that…need to pour down more coffee soon and wait for it jump start me to get the day started…I am going to put the top down on the car no matter what the temp is…hey, it all the way up to 48 degrees so I will get a ride in before the grocery run…after all, I got out at 47 degrees yesterday…I do need to clean the freezer at some point and with it half empty it would be a good time….more later…
A pretty good day…
Well…it was a pretty good day today and I got the lawn mowed after I got the rides in and made a trip to the library…pretty sore from that…I did see something I never see this morning and that was two cruise ships trying to come into the dock at the same time…a white one had already docked and then a huge blue ship came and had to park off the pier and wait…pretty odd…my allergies are bad again today and I’m still coughing from them so I started to take some dm medicine that helps de-congest them and that may be helping a little…but, my knee is almost healed so I guess that’s something…it was only 47 degrees when I went out for the first ride this morning and it’s only going to be a little warmer overnight tonight…I really did expect the heat to come on and it just might tonight…doing the grocery run tomorrow even though I don’t need a lot…more pasta for pasta salad but nothing for the freezer…I’m finally getting down to where there is room in the freezer but I still have lots of stuff in there that I’m going to try to use before I buy anything else…okay, time for tv…
Dem governors are after it…
Well…after governor Newsom did his epic trolling of the idiot trump last week and I said that more of them needed to do the same thing, here comes Governor Pritzker of Illinois threatening to hold any official of the idiot trump’s accountable for any illegal invasion of Chicago since the idiot just threatened to send troops there for some reason…okay we know the reason…he’s a fascist…and that’s what needs to happen up and down the line….while the SC gave trump immunity from being held accountable for his crimes, that doesn’t include his underlings and we need to make it clear that they are going to end up in jail if they break the law…ICE thugs illegally sweeping people off the streets? When we are in charge again, they go to jail and their names will get released to the press…any corporations who are bribing trump? That company gets the death penalty and it’s execs go to jail…you get the idea…trump may be out of reach but they aren’t…and if there are penalties to be paid, maybe less people would go along with idiot boy’s lawlessness…we need to fight back and the governors are showing us how…geez…
August 26th
Well…damn, it’s only 49 degrees out there right now so the rides are going to wait a while…not going to put gloves on in August…so I may wait to go out until after I go to the library…or only get one ride in before I get more books…we’ll see…I am going to remember to toast the last bagel this morning since I have the time to sit here and eat it as I wait for the temp to come up…I am a little surprised that the heat didn’t come on overnight with how cold it is but I really don’t want to start paying a high gas bill already…my knee is getting better and I can bend it again…it has developed a bruise that I can’t understand after just having it pop the other day…I have it folded in front of me with no pain…just a little stiffness and I can live with that…what I can’t live with is being forced to change my schedule but I should be better at it and just wing it for at least one day…but that’s not really me…I do need to do some meal planning since the leftovers run out today and I have been thinking about changing up what I cook a bit…have a ham steak in the freezer that I could make with eggs and toast so I think I’ll take that out this morning…along with the chicken for masala that I’ll have later in the week…not much to do today…just getting the rides and library run in and I think I’ll do my weight work after I have the bagel to get started….more later…
Got a compressor…
Well…I know I’ve had it in the back of my head that I needed to buy an air compressor to keep in the car since it was not designed to carry a spare tire…and the old compressor just fell apart…so today while I was reading with the tv on in the background, a commercial for a rechargeable small compressor came on and it perked my ears up…pretty nice unit with a set and forget pressure sensor, an LED light, and a huge display…and it can fill 4 tires on one charge…but the price of 60 bucks was just ridiculous and then I got the idea to check on Amazon to see what is available and the same exact compressor was only 19 bucks…so I bought one and it will be here tomorrow and I’ll get my tire repair kit in the trunk of the car…pretty cool and now I won’t have to drag my pancake compressor out to air up the bike tires…it never got over 66 today so I left the house closed up and have been running the hepa filters all day to help with my allergies…it is working a bit so I’m going to leave them on until bedtime…other than that, I didn’t really do anything but read today and finished the 5th book so to the library for more tomorrow…now I need to figure out what’s on for entertainment tonight…
