Well…have been up since 4:30 and thought I’d get at this one since I’m already bored…if you haven’t heard or read yet, there is a group of 47 repub senators who have sent a letter to the leaders of Iran trying to derail the nuclear negotiations by saying that any agreement has to be ratified by the senate and would only be in effect until Obama leaves office…both statements are wrong and were pointed out by, of all people, the Iranian foreign minister who dismissed the letter as having “no legal value and is mostly a propaganda ploy” and he goes on to say that he is astonished that members of the US congress find it appropriate to write to leaders of another country against their own president and administration….as am I. The smackdown continues int he rest of the letter where the foreign minister goes on to say “It seems that the authors not only do not understand international law, but are not fully cognizant of the nuances of their own Constitution when it comes to presidential powers in the conduct of foreign policy.” Now, I find is just so rich that we have an Iranian foreign minister that has a better grasp of the executive branch power in foreign policy than these idiot senators…and that he understands, where the repubs don’t that changing administrations doesn’t remove the international obligations and that removing the agreement would be a violation of international law. But, one thing we do know from the torture fiasco is that repubs don’t really care about or understand international law…they are just a bunch of idiots…geez…

Interview update…
Well…just a short one to update the phone interview…did not go as well as I expected….and after I prepared all weekend for it…oh, well…I guess tomorrow is back to the resumes…and Friday is not the last pool day…so that’s something…and I had the top down in the car taking it out to wash it and that lifted my spirits some…..more later….
March 9th
Well…it was an okay dya yesterday but a little busy prepping for the interview today…going to work on that all morning, too, so that will basically be my day. I am going to wash the car as soon as the interview is done since it is going to be nice today…I did get a short bike ride in yesterday and I may have the shifter fixed…we’ll see later…I should be out on the bike in shorts later in the week with it supposed to be in the 50’s so that will be cool…but, I am still waiting for the ice to melt off the car right now and I will be happy to see that go…slept okay last night but feel a little crappy with the allergies this morning…and the time change is still having an effect…still doing the math in my head…it is really 7:15 right now and it feels that way…okay, need to go get the papers an have coffee…morw later…
March 8th
Well…running a little late today but not really since the time change was last night….have spent the past half hour just resetting all the clocks here and it is a pain….but, it was nice going out for the paper this morning and not having the sun in my eyes…slept okay last night but feel a little slow today and that is to be expected….I am a little sore from the bike ride yesterday and the shifter is giving me problems again…may have to get another one..but it was nice to get a good sweat going again….I may try the bike out again today when the temp comes up a little….not much to do today…have to do the prep work for the phone interview and watch the Wings but that is about it…..more later….
Not sure what to write about….
Well…there hasn’t been any stupid politicians doing stupid things for me to comment on and it is making this really difficult…all the low hanging fruit has been picked and I am a little irritated…well…there was one…the idiot secretary of state of Kansas, Kris Kobach, was on his radio show the other day and just couldn’t resist the thought in his fever ridden brain that Obama is going to order that no black person that commits any crime in the US be prosecuted…yep…these guys have gotten so stupid that they think this is possible if not probable that Obama will do what they themselves have done in the past…where were the repubs when the white guys from ole GW to the CIA decided that the laws on torture didn’t apply to them? I am just so sick of the crazy in this country being passed off as normal….this is just some batshit crazy stuff and this idiot should be thrown out of office today for this nonsense…geez…
March 7th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I lost at pool…I did get some good news that I have a phone interview on Monday and I will need to prep for it over the weekend…probably tomorrow and Monday morning…..slept really crappy again and have been up since 5 or so so there will be a nap in the near future but I’m having coffee right now so that might have to wait a while….didn’t get anything else done yesterday but that is okay….and that looks like the day for me today…don’t really feel like doing much but watching soccer today so that will be the plan…the tooth is not hurting at all today and I can’t figure that out but I’ll take it…more later….
March 6th
Well…it was kind of a crappy day yesterday with the tooth pain flaring up again and it hurts again this morning so it looks like I need to figure something out to get it fixed…slept crappy and feel like it again this morning but it feels like I have another bug and that is tiring, too….didn’t get anything done yesterday, either, other than trying to fix the tooth and that was tiring, too….so, today is going to be a low key day with just one errand to run this morning and then relaxing until pool time this aft…more later…
A little Red Wings…
Well…it has been an interesting run of late with the Wings…they have been playing well and with much more grit than they showed this time last year. It has gotten to the point where I am back to where I was in the last Stanley Cup run…that I expect them to look good and win games. One of the funny coincidences or bounces from last nights game was that one of the new guys Zidlicky, got the game winner in OT…pretty good way to start your time with the Wings. I know that both he and Cole are just rentals but they may be of some help in the playoffs. It was also good to see Hank back last night after being out with a head injury for the past 4 games…and the news that Frantzen is gone for the season was not a surprise since getting the elbow to the head back in January and not playing since. It is going to be an interesting 6 weeks to the end of the season and then hope for a long playoff run…if they keep playing like they are, it could be a good spring.
March 5th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…slept okay but feel a little slow today and I think it’s the allergies….didn’t hear back on the job interview yet so I think that is about done…it was nice to get a bite, though, after a couple of years without one….so, after taking a couple of days thinking about that one, I need to get back into the normal routine today…starting with the grocery run in a few minutes…I do go out for a run yesterday and I remember why I stopped doing that…pure pain from my waist down…my back hurt so much that I couldn’t bend over to untie my shoes when I got back here…so, no more of that….not much to do today…more resumes and a little cooking but that is about it….more later…
Putin and Hitler….
Well…as I said this morning, I had a flash the other day when I was watching a show on the Third Reich and they showed how Hitler used the supposed abuse of ethnic Germans in Poland as a pretext for invading the country…he did it to keep them “safe”. That immediately brought to mind Putin’s statements when he invaded Crimea to annex it that he was going there to “protect” the Russians that were living there…and he has used the same ploy for the attacks in the rest of the Ukraine. The repubs constantly compare everything they don’t like to Hitler…I wonder if any of them will do the same for their buddy, Putin? Not very likely…geez….
