Well…it was a strange day yesterday with all the storms and I discovered that the shingles that had blown off the roof here have left black goo and scratches on the hood of the Miata…going to have to go out and try to get the crap off this morning…not sure what I’ll use…might have to go out and get some tar remover…the rest of the day was just like every other one this month…boring, and I really didn’t accomplish anything…and the Lions lost so that was pretty crappy…and, I didn’t sleep well at all so I am a little worn out today…I think I’ll take the day off the bike with the wind still blowing like crazy…just no motivation….not much to do today…might meet up with T later for a couple but that will be it for the week….more later…

Danger trails….
Well…while I wait for the Lions game to start the second half, I thought I’d relate some trail danger that I went through on today’s ride…while I was out, riding through the woods at the end of Hanna Lake…the wind was just howling through the trees and I heard a really loud crack, then a huge thud that I could feel even on the bike…I turned around to find that an 8-10 inch thick branch had fallen across the trail no more than 20 feet behind me….only a 5 second delay in my ride and the damn thing would have hit me….needless to say, I was just completely freaked out when that happened….oh, I did get out in just shorts and a t-shirt today…not the latest in a t-shirt but pretty close….
November 17th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I had some fun meeting up with K for a couple but the rest of the day was just another normal, boring day….I guess I should get used to it…don’t want to but need to…slept okay and didn’t get up until after 7 which is really sleeping in for me….and didn’t know that Michigan won until this morning…I was just so disgusted with how they were playing I turned it off…and, I was out so that was easy….didn’t get much done but cleaning and that was okay, too, but I do need to do more of that today after the bike ride…need to wait for the next wave of rain to come through but then there looks like about an hour window to ride…going out in a t-shirt since it is over 60 already….other than that…not much to do today…football and races and a nap…more later…
Trails and other stuff…
Well…just sitting here waiting to meet up with K in a few minutes and thought I’d do this one to try to stay close to caught up….out on the trail today it looked like someone had driven their car into the swamp at the end of Hanna Lake at 60th street….nice set of tire tracks that went up over the sidewalk and into the trees….I think that is the fourth or fifth time I’ve seen that…haven’t seen any deer with hunting season starting and that is a little weird…I always see them in the woods and I have even been looking for them….not much else to say right now…Michigan is stinking up the place again and I had to stop watching…but, I will try the Wings later even though they are crappy, too….
November 16th
Well…it was another day yesterday but that was about it…I did win at pool accidentally so that was okay…but the rest of the day was as non-descript as all of the rest….and the Wings continue to lose so I think I may have to get out some gear for the next game…slept okay but I am still sore from riding into the wind this week…and, the pain has now moved up my back…no, it’s actually all over my right side…should take some ibuprofen before I get out on the bike…not much to do today…I am going to wait awhile to get out on the bike since I want to go out in shorts for the last time…or maybe tomorrow will be the last time…it is supposed to be in the 60’s tomorrow and that might mean shorts and t-shirt…that would be cool for the middle of November…I do need to clean today and do laundry but I think there will be no cooking today since I do want to get rid of the leftovers before Thursday….more later…
Is Boehner stupid or crazy? Or both?
Well…another day goes by and another jaw dropping moment comes from ole Boehner….today, there was supposed to be a meeting in one of the senate offices of three of the anti-gay hate groups that purport to be the “protectors of the true family” here in the US, but the repub senator that initially sponsored the event found out what these groups really are and canceled the room saying he will not associate with groups that discriminate…so, good on you Senator Kirk. But, when these groups started to whine, guess who stepped in to sanction this hate…yep, ole Boehner found them space in the house offices and proceeded to cozy up to these idiots…hmmm…maybe idiots like to hang out with other idiots? These are the same groups that found that their hate wasn’t selling here in the US anymore so they went overseas to get laws passed in Russia that discriminate against gays there….and were instrumental in getting the “kill the gays” laws passed in Uganda that make it a death penalty offense to just be gay…yep, these are the types of groups that the repubs are embracing as their ideas are rejected by more and more of the US…I’ll bet ole Boehner would find a room for the KKK if they asked him…what a poor excuse for a human being…and, I’m still not sure if he is stupid or crazy…probably both..geez….
November 15th
Well….it was just another day yesterday…just like all the rest…but, it’s not snowing so that is good…slept okay last night…no, that’s not true…slept like crap and feel it today so it looks like a low energy day for me…and I didn’t make the coffee strong enough so it is like drinking brown water….not a good way to start the day….I am still sore everywhere, too…and I am sure it is from going into the 25 mph wind yesterday….looks like it is only blowing around 10 this morning so it will be like a walk in the park…and, it is supposed to be 50 today so maybe top down on the way out to pool? That’s about all I have to do today…I should clean but I think I’ll save that for tomorrow and Sunday….I am still one behind for the month and I am going to try to keep from falling further behind…maybe even do a political one…who knows?
Been late all day…
Well…it has been one of those days where I have been running late for everything that I was planning to do…didn’t plan much but I’m even late for this one….and I’m still not sure what the topic is going to be….politics seem like a re run with all of the same issues that have been going on for years it seems….and my personal life is probably one of the most boring there is in the entire US…so that is off the table….music? I did see a documentary on Pink Floyd that was pretty good…and the battery for the walkman didn’t come again today…so, I’m disappointed about that….still have the cold, so I’m disappointed about that, too….it is pretty depressing that it gets dark around 5:30….see…I can’t even think straight or write straight? It has just been one of those days and I really can’t wait for the day to be over and the night to start…at least then I can shut the brain off for a while…
November 14th
Well…running late like a weekend day today for some reason…okay, the reason is that I did the grocery shopping for t-day this morning and that took a lot of time..did get a 12 pound turkey for about 8 bucks so that was cool…slept okay but started up witht he sleeping pills again since I am sore from tossing and turning…at least I think that may be it but it is possibly riding the bike yesterday into a wind that was over 20…didn’t get much else done and I hope to rectify that today…not sure what I am trying to get done but there must be something…I am still waiting for the battery to come for the walkman and it is starting to get irritating…and the site even sent me an e-mail asking for a review of the battery before I even got it…it’s been a week now and I hope it’s not much longer since the thing is basically useless now…oh, well….I do need to get the workout in and ride the bike so I’ll get going on that now…more later…
Sister Sarah in town…
Well…when I woke up this morning, I felt like the Grand Rapids area had suddenly gotten much, much, dumber but I couldn’t really figure out why….then, I read the paper and found out…ole sister Sarah was in town…and, any town that Palin walks into immediately has it’s IQ drop by many, many points. I know this is a quite conservative area, in spots, but I didn’t know until now that those same areas are stupid…well…yeah, I did, I talk to these people and marvel at how willfully ignorant they are of science, the constitution…oh, hell…about everything. But they will queue up to see, listen to, and buy her stupid book on “the war on christmas”….that’s about all I have to say….I even feel stupider for just being in the same state as the supreme grifter…geez…
