Well….running late again today and it is because of the cocktails last night…just having a hard time getting moving today…it was an okay day yesterday with the race and the US winning the gold cup but not looking as good as they have in the earlier matches…slept okay but I think I didn’t eat enough even with skipping the bike ride….I do need to get some stuff done around here today and get back into the routine….so, that is what I’m going to do right now…have to post over at Kos and then get going…more later…

Need to cheat a little…
Well…since I’m running out of month and running behind, I do feel the need to cheat a little and just do one with random thoughts…I did decide to not ride the bike today and give the legs a rest…but, there was some trail weirdness that I haven’t relayed yet…another pregnancy test on the trail…I wonder if there is a different life on the trail late at night that I just never see since I am out during the day? I did have a bird attack the other day, too, but that one is just about normal now..just some small black bird that is protecting something…or maybe it just doesn’t like my hat….the bike has been working perfectly so I guess it is time for it to break again…but, the cool thing is that I know how to fix everything that can break so there is no stress…just don’t want it to break on the trail and have to walk back…I am getting excited that the US is playing at 4…but, I am so tired today for some reason that I may nap through it…hope not….more later…
July 28th
Well…it was another day yesterday where I didn’t get much done…just kind of vegged it and cooked…and today looks like more of the same and I may even take the day off from riding…I am going to blame that on the rain but I do need to rest the legs and let the pain go away…but, it will be a fight with guilt all day if I don’t ride…slept okay last night and just laid in bed for almost an hour after I woke up…something I never do….so, the day has started out a little strange….I do have to clean the bathroom today…the spiders have taken over and I do need to get rid of them and clean the shower…and the floor, and the sink….so that is the big plan for the day…along with watching the US play in the gold cup final later…thought they were playing Mexico but Panama beat them so that should be good…more later…
More republican hypocrisy…
Well…with all of the stories on Detroit’s bankruptcy, the one thing has struck me more than anything else is the height of the repub hate of the city….with Rand Paul spouting that there is no way in hell that he would ever vote to help them out and that has been echoed by the normal group of crazies on the right…and no, that’s not what I don’t understand…I have come to expect nothing but racism and meanness from the repubs…but, these are the same folks that had no problem spending hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan to rebuild those countries after we destroyed them, but they can’t see why it’s the federal government’s responsibility to help out in Detroit. Well…let me point it out to you…Detroit is part of America! The people that live there are US citizens! What the hell kind of world do the repubs want? One where…oh, yeah, that’s right…they want a world that is winner take all and to hell with everyone who is not connected, white, and Christian….this crap has got to end….geez…
July 27th
Well…as you can see, I didn’t come back for another one yesterday and now that means I need to do three today…but that is a concern for later…it was an okay day yesterday but I got whipped at pool again…I did make an 8 ball on the break so that was some small consolation….and, with the cocktails last night, I feel a little crappy today and that is why I’m running so late…it looks like it’s going to be a low key day today with nothing but cooking and cleaning in it…I am going to run the slow cooker today and that is something I need to get to right now so I can get out on the bike….I may have to take a day off the bike in the near future since my legs are constantly in pain and stiff…but, not today…more later…

Well…feel kind of crappy today with going out to meet up with C for a few more than a couple last night…but it was fun and good to get out and see a few people after being in since last Sat…other than that, it was just a normal day with the normal stuff going on….slept okay, I think, but I am quite tired today and I hope that the bike ride will help with that…I’m sure I didn’t eat enough and that is part of it…but, you’ve heard me bitch about that more than enough times…I am going to try to eat a lot this weekend to make up for it…making some slow cooked chicken that may help….not much to do today…..might have pool day but I’m not sure about that…more later…
The lack of outrage is doing me in…
Well…I have been working on trying to circumvent the lack of outrage lately but trying to make some faux outrage…is not working at all so I really don’t know what to write about…politics has reached the level of absurdity that I can’t top with the repubs going off the rails constantly…I really can’t believe how crazy these folks have gotten…the latest one that has me shaking my head is an editorial in the Detroit News yesterday arguing against medicaid expansion here in Michigan since when it was done in other states, not as many people signed up as was projected so we should not make it available to anyone who can’t afford insurance….or the other day, too…when ole Steven King. R from crazyland, said that he could spot an illegal immigrant from their “cantalope sized calves” that they get from carrying 75 pounds of drugs across the border…and sadly, I’m not making this up….then in another fit of the crazy…there are about 14 repub senators who say they will crash the world economy unless Obamacare is repealed…going along with ole Boehner who says that he will hold the debt ceiling hostage unless every safety net is destroyed….never mind that before Obama, the debt ceiling was raised 57 times with no drama…I wonder what the difference is now…hmmmm…could it be because the repubs are a bunch of racist hacks? No wonder the repub controlled congress is at the lowest approval rating in history…we just need to do something to throw these know-nothing idiots out in 2014…geez…

Well….it was an okay day yesterday but didn’t do much…I did get to four days of being good but that will end today with meeting up with Chad this aft for a couple of belated birthday drinks…I am starting to feel pretty good so I’m not sure if having cocktails again is that good of an idea…slept okay but fitful and that is starting to be the pattern of the week that I am sure I don’t like….I did find out I have enough cash to get through next month so that took a little bit of a load off so I can enjoy the rest of the week…and, the US won in the gold cup last night putting them in the final Sunday against Mexico which should be a great match….not much to do today…I do have to work out and get the bike ride in right now so that is what I’m going to do….more later…
Snyder the liar strikes again…
Well…I wonder if anyone is surprised that there are new revelations that the Snyder administration here in Michigan had no intent in following the law or even good faith in the appointment of the emergency manager for Detroit…these folks went on and on that bankruptcy was the last resort for the city, but new e-mails have just been found that show that all of this was just a sham…that they wanted bankruptcy from the start and tried mightily to cover up that fact…one aide going so far as to ask how they could hold discussions that would circumvent the Freedom of Information act…that would keep their shennanigans secret from the public and allow them to cut back room deals that would lay the burden solely on retirees and workers of the city. But, do you expect anything different from the repubs? If you do after the right to work for less debacle, and all of the other shady deals that have come from this administration, I feel sorry for you…these folks are the typical repubs, jamming their extreme agenda down the peoples throats while working overtime to ignore laws they don’t like….I, for one, have had enough of these folks…they need to go…geez…
July 24th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and day three of being good so I feel okay today..still not sleeping but that’s a good tradeoff for me….it was finally cool last night and it is still that way this morning…might even have to wait a while to get on the bike until it warms up…but, that’s okay….I did hear from T this morning which was kind of cool and I may even have things to do today…I am going to continue the roll I’m on cleaning…the bathroom needs to be done and I am going to get to it today…even had two resumes go out yesterday and am hoping for at least a couple more today….but, right now, I need to have some more water and just veg a few minutes…more later…
