Well…it was just another day yesterday and I really didn’t get much done…did go out and have a couple with G and that was fun but that was about it…slept okay, I think, but I always feel the same when I get up so who knows? I am getting tired of it being so cold that I can’t put the windows and top down in the car….where the heck is our spring or summer? I am planning on going out to hit a bucket of balls this morning to see if the back will hold up to playing 9 next week…to do that, though, I have to buy some tees and that means a run over to Meijers in a minute…more later…

Typical republicans…
Well…just a short one a little article that just came over Twitter about the student loan debacle…in case you haven’t heard, the interest rate on student loans is set to double if the senate doesn’t do something about it in the next week or so….and the dems had a perfectly reasonable plan to pay for it by cutting some corporate subsidies and tax loopholes for the rich..but, in typical fashion, the repubs are protecting these tax giveaways and have basically said to all the students that have loans to go to hell…they would rather have students pay more tax (and that is what it is is a tax and the extra money goes straight to the big banks) than to have the rich folks pay their fair share. I just can’t believe…oh, wait…I can believe the repubs would do that…it just shows they don’t give a damn about anyone but their donors…geez…
June 6th
Well…running late today and it on purpose, really…catching up on the last two episodes of “Burn Notice” from last season to get ready for tonight’s last season premiere…it was an okay day yesterday but didn’t do much but laundry and a little cleaning…just can’t get motivated to do much else right now…might even skip working out this morning since the catching up won’t be done until 11….but, it is raining so I may not have to ride the bike today….might be going out to see G for a couple but I do have to get back here by 9 tonight but that looks like my only thing to do today…okay…need to get back to the show…more later…
Oh, I almost forgot…today is the anniversary of D-day in 1944…thank a vet if there are any left..
Haven’t been doing much thinking lately…
Well…it’s been tough lately to think about anything of any importance and I’m not sure why my brain has shut down….I seem to have lost my sense of outrage or maybe it is that I have finally resigned myself to the crazy state of this country where we have a tiny minority of crazies who are ruining it for everyone…bridges falling down, potholes as big as my Miata, and children going hungry seem to be acceptable now. When the hell did this happen? I think it’s the result of the “I’ve got mine” attitude of the repubs here in the US and the fact that they don’t believe there should be any government..or that the purpose of government is to be subservient to business and do what will make more and more profit for the 1%. Yeah, maybe that’s it…when we have millions of people out of work, millions of college grads flipping burgers, and million of people like me that can’t find work of any kind…and no one seems to give a damn…maybe that’s why I don’t anymore….who knows?
June 5th
Well…not running late today…have been up since 6 or so and it was a night of no sleep again but who really cares anymore? It was an okay day yesterday and I had a little money come in so that was cool…and I got to drive the car around a little finally which was fun…did have a setback with my face swelling with it being worse this morning that it was last night and I am getting really tired of it…look really old and shedding skin like a snake is just not a good look….I am going to make the grocery run today to get supplies in before I run out of cash so there will be food today….not much to do..other than that…after getting some stuff done around here, I am going do the kitchen today…kind of wish it would rain so I could take the day off riding to get a head start….more later…
No one does stupid like the repubs…
Well…have been thinking about doing a weekly series on the abject stupidity coming out of the repubs these days, and that may happen, but I just think I’ll do this one first and see how it goes…not sure if you know but there is still a huge controversy going on in Alabama where the repub idiots there are spending most of their time trying to get around court decisions that outlaw teaching creationism in their schools…and one of the reasons that was used in the debate why evolution just can’t be true is that no one has been able to take an e-coli bacteria and make it evolve into a human in a laboratory…yep, I am not making this up…this was suggested by one of the elected repubs there…man, the stupid runs deep in Alabama.
The second bit of stupid goes out to all of the repub governors who have decided that the poor residents of their states do not deserve any type of healthcare and have rejected the Medicaid expansion that would be paid for by the feds…and the funny part (well..none of this is funny) is that it has been calculated that rejecting this expansion is going to cost these states almost 9 billion dollars in uncompensated care that these idiots are going to end up paying for anyway….so, to recap, cover all your people for free, or cost your states billions….which would a smart person choose?…as always, it just all ideology to these idiots…and poor people pay…geez…
June 4th
Well…it was another day yesterday…and I woke up to my right eye being closed again…this is getting to be a pain, after all, it’s been since last Thursday that I got sunburned and you’d think it would have healed by now…slept okay even with it being a no cocktail night so maybe I’ll get a few things done today…the kitchen does need a complete teardown but there are other things to do before that….I do look like a peeling snake today with losing all of the burned skin…it would be nice if it would get warm enough to go to the beach one of these days…what the heck is s Miata for? Might have to take a road trip one of these days..it can’t be good for the car to only drive it 300 yards a day….but, it does save me money on gas…more later…

Well…this damn software did it again…my June 3rd post disappeared…no wonder I’m behind…so, I’ll try to re-create it…slept okay last night but the eyes were swelled shut when I got up and I have been massaging them to be able to see ever since…I did get the squeak out of the bike for at least one day…had to tear the front fork off and grease the bearings with some lithium grease…but I made the mistake of lubing up a bunch of other stuff so I really won’t be sure where the squeak was…just glad it’s gone for now…I think I’m just going to bite the bullet and replace the clutch master cylinder this week…it has just been acting weird and I don’t want the damn thing to fail on me somewhere on the road…okay…that’s about all I remember so I’ll stop here…
Just some stuff…
Well….already running late for the month and I’m not sure how that happened…so, I thought I’d come back and do a mish mash one with just random thoughts in it….I may have gotten the squeak out of the bike…two days and counting and it is still quiet so I do have a little hope….I do have a question…why the hell are there any young republicans? Unless they are certain to be a part of the right wing money scam, what would appeal to a thinking young person? Hating on your gay friends? Ensuring that you will never be able to pay back your student loans? Limiting the rights of everyone unless you are one of the 1%? I can understand some young people who are well connected into the old boy network like the Romney spawn being repubs, but what young person that actually has to work for a living would think tax cuts for the rich at the expense of a secure future would be a good idea? Just can’t understand any appeal of the current repubs to anyone and I’m supposedly their base constituency…and old white guy…something to think about….oh, one last thing…my face is still puffy around my eyes and I am really hoping it goes away soon…it’s a pain continually massaging my eyelids to keep the fluid out of them so I can open my eyes…
Darrel Issa called someone a liar?
Well…I am just laughing at the caliber of person that the repubs are calling leaders these days starting with the crook Darrel Issa who is leading the witch hunt against the IRS…let’s look at this idiots history and it will make you laugh, too. First, this guy was arrested and charged with stealing a Maserati a few years back…then, there was the suspicious fire at his business that fire investigators said was deliberately set…and the fact that ole Darrel didn’t get the entire claim paid by his insurance company says that they believed that ole Darrel had something to do with it. Now, this guy is calling Jay Carney a liar? Look, I can understand why the IRS looked at a bunch of the tea party non-profit applications….they were buried in them when the tea party nonsense was at it’s peak…and if you know anything about the repubs behavior, you know they don’t think the rules apply to them so to look at these folks would be a good idea. The last thing to remember is that there wasn’t one of the apps rejected…not one, so how is that targeting? I think the best thing to do would be to ignore ole Darrel and maybe he’ll crawl back under the rock he came from…what an idiot…geez…
