Well…haven’t done one on trail weirdness in quite a while…thought I’d wait until it built up a while before reporting so I guess it’s time…what the heck are people doing with pregnancy test sticks on the trail? Saw another one today and that make 4 of them in the last 6 months…are they peeing on them on the trail? You would think that people would want to do that in the privacy of their own homes, wouldn’t you? Oh, well…saw the biggest herd of deer I’ve ever seen this morning…there must have bee 20 or so of them running right beside the trail and it was pretty cool to watch….what the heck is it with people with dogs when they have to take up the entire trail? Had to hold up behind more than a half dozen of them today and then they flip me off when I ask them to move over? But, it was a nice ride anyway and got the full 15 in today…first time into a full sweat in quite a while and it felt good…okay, that’s not weird so I guess I should stop here….

Well…as you can see, I didn’t come back for another one yesterday but I have an excuse…it was a long day with lunch with T and then out for pool and by the time I got back I just wasn’t in the mood…didn’t have any outrage anyway so it wouldn’t have been a good one….I did sleep okay last night but still no dreams…did get a text from my daughter saying she is thinking about moving to Bermuda for a couple of years for a research project that is being sponsored by the PM there…a bombshell to be sure…but I’d love to have an opportunity to do something like that…I’ve already had the top down today for the run out for papers and it is still down so I do need to go wash the car right now so nothing gets stolen….then out for a ride after it gets over 5…going to be a nice one with no wind….more later…

Well…running really late today since I was out with G and then continued with a cocktail night when I got home…I cut my finger somehow…looks like a paper cut…oh, now I remember….I was opening an allergy tablet with a really sharp knife and it slipped….now that explains the paper towel with blood on it, too…that makes me feel better to remember that….slept okay but feel like crap this morning so this one is going to be short…not much to do today….pool, I think, but after that I need to take it easy to recover….

Well…my gag reflex is getting a real workout today with the hoopla around the opening of the ole GW library in Texas today and the idea that this moronic, lying, torturing, murderer is being feted as anything more than the abject failure that he was and still is, should turn the stomach of we Americans who understand and love the rule of law. No other president in history has presided over greater destruction of the US’s standing in the world and the fact that, when interviewed this morning, this idiot said he would do nothing different just shows he has the dept of a moron and truly believes the lies he and his cronies foisted on the nation….and he is still spouting the disproven nonsense that his approval of torture led to the apprehension of OBL and other terrorists. Since when do we celebrate failure in this country by building a propaganda hole that perpetuates lies and deception? I hope this idiot goes back to wherever the hell he has been the past four years…or, for that matter, goes to the Hague to be prosecuted for the war crimes he and his cronies perpetrated on the world….geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but it was basically wasted waiting for the service folks to come and work on the AC….I did sleep okay last night but again, no dreams to speak of…I did get 5 resumes out yesterday and expect to do the same today so maybe I’ll get a bite…I can hope anyway….I am kind of worn out today but I know it’s the allergies so I guess I’ll just endure it for now…and it will get nothing but worse but there is nothing to be done about it…don’t want to see the car coated in pollen but with the temps this weekend, it looks like that is going to happen soon….not much to do today….I do have the grocery run and some errands, then some work around here to get ready for having a couple with G to celebrate the end of the semester….and the Wings won last night so they only need to win the last two and they are in the playoffs….so that will be something for tonight, too….more later….
Austerity is still nonsense…
Well…had to comment on the latest revelation that the supposedly academic paper by Rogoff and Reinhart that the repubs and conservatives across the globe have used to justify the focus on austerity around the world is a fraud…yeah, big surprise that the repubs would use a fraud to justify being pricks and hurting people but it is such an obvious fraud that it was discovered by a grad student at U Mass who found that they had made mistakes in their Excel formulas…yeah, I couldn’t believe it either…ruining countless lives across the world from an Excel error? No wonder they wouldn’t let anyone see their source data or how they came to their conclusions, but the more egregious thing is that they did one of the most common frauds in research…they willfully excluded data that they knew would have made their hypothesis false….these folks are just frauds and I want an apology from them and from Paul Ryan for all of the damage they’ve done by relentlessly pushing this crap since the start of the recession…isn’t this the last time we should ever have to hear from the idiot Ryan? Geez….
More secrecy from the idiot Snyder…
Well…if it wasn’t bad enough when our gov here in Michigan, Snyder, conspired in secret with the tea partiers in the lame duck session to jam through the right to work for less legislation and many new abortion restrictions, now he is at it again with a secret group that is supposedly working on “eduction reform”. What kind of education “reform” will it be when reps from ALEC, lobbyists from tech companies, and avowed haters of public education are the only ones on this project? Where are the representatives of parents? Where are the representative of professional educators who live in the trenches and know what does and doesn’t work? None of these groups matter to this idiot thug whose only goal in this whole process is to lower the cost of education by the use of technology that has been proven to have no better outcomes than the normal public education. But, this just doesn’t matter to Snyder and his cronies in the legislature…their two goals are to lower cost so he can give more tax breaks to business and to break the unions that the repubs just hate so much….these guys just hate democracy…why else would they have to meet in secret? Just more of the same of the Koch and DeVos fueled ruination of our state…first in the race to be Mississippi….geez….

Well…it was another day yesterday…just like all the rest and there is really not much else to say for it….I did sleep okay last night and had some weird dreams that were interrupted and that is a little irritating….but I feel okay today if a little sore from the bike ride…and it looks like I won’t be going out today with it only getting to 45…I do have some errands to run after I wait here for them to come and service the AC but that is about it for the day…but, need to prep for that visit first so I should get to it….more later….
Snyder’s toast…
Well…just a short one about the happenings here over the past week or so on the potential matchups for governor in a year and a half….in a recent poll that was just done here…a generic matchup of Snyder against the dems find that he is tied with these generics….and the funny thing is that the people they used on the dem side were almost completely unknown…with more than 70% of the respondents saying they didn’t recognize the names at all…and the dems still tied Snyder…and, as more and more people are hurt by the nonsense this governor has pushed, and the fact that he rolls over to the tp’ers and their nonsense, people are starting to turn against this idiot and his secret agenda that he wouldn’t have dared run on…after all, who the hell would vote for anyone who was promising to raise taxes on the middle class and retirees and handing that money straight over to ceos so they could buy another lake house or Ferrari….I hope we all remember this crap in 18 months and send this “nerd’ back where he came from…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I did see Man U win the title and the Wings finally win a game that may get them into the playoffs….and, I slept okay last night even without it being a cocktail night so maybe there is hope….I did take the car out for a ride to take a look at the flooding and for the first time that I can remember, the Thornapple has flooded across the streets in Ada…and the park out there is basically gone and I have the photos to prove it…I did get to put the top and windows down and even got a little sunburned….not much to do today…I do have some stuff to get done around here but that is about it….and I will be back later for one or more to get caught up for the month….more later…
