Well…up and down all night and a good part of it is that I couldn’t get comfortable with all the pain in my neck and back…an it is getting old that everything I do causes enough pain to be uncomfortable…oh, well…didn’t sleep well but I was expecting that with being good last night since I have a dentist appointment at 8:30…I do want to get a ride in before that so I’ll need to be out of here by 6:45…that does give me enough time to pour down two cups of coffee if I get on it right now…it felt good to finally get the door frame on the garage painted and now I have the one on the back of the house to do…not sure if it will be today, though, with the possibility of rain…the radar has the rain over in Wisconsin but I’m sure it will fall apart before it gets here…got down into the 50’s last night and it’s still there so the ride will be cool to start the day but that’s okay…maybe it will wake me up…going to try to treat my back with biofreeze before I go out…one weird thing…after I spaded the front walks last week,I haven’t had any pain in my right thumb and I can move it better…I wonder if I broke some adhesions and scar tissue in it…I’ve had constant pain in it since I hurt it 15 years ago so this is welcome…not much to do today…just the rides and dentist and then I’ll wing the rest of the day…at least two more rides and maybe I’ll do the prep work of the back door…we’ll see…more later…

Well…when I was out on the third ride today, my neck and left shoulder started howling pain at me and I could barely move my neck to look for cars…it seems be a little better now but it’s the same spot I hurt 6 weeks ago and it’s just not healing…darn…started out the day by getting on the bike for the first ride at 7am and then straight into ride two…home for a shower and then over to the library to return and pick up three more books…the back here and got on the bike for the third ride…then a quick lunch and out to work on the door frame of the walk in door that had started to crack and peel…so after I scraped an sanded it, I decided to paint it,too and finished that up around 2:30…after that I still had the weight work to do and got that done before dinner…so now it’s almost 7 and I think I’ll stop now and watch a little tv…I did race a cruise ship back to the docks and beat him by a mile…the ferry is much faster…
100 million dollars in one day…
Well…gee…I guess Joe did the right thing dropping out of the race and I hope he can finally enjoy being retired in January…over the one day since the announcement, Kamala has raised over 100 million dollars and has gotten the endorsements of almost all the necessary dems and I’m proud that my governor, Gretchen Whitmer, is one of them…and I have been laughing so hard that now the idiot trump is the old, infirm one in the race…oh, and the repubs have spent millions of dollars for t-shirts and other materials with attacks on Joe on them that are now useless…pretty damn funny if you ask me…and the excitement for this change that is palpable…and I’ve even succumbed to it a bit..I mean an African American woman is going to take down the idiot boy? People are thrilled with Joe doing the right thing…and the funniest thing is idiot boy saying that he is going to sue Joe for dropping out of the race since the repubs spent lots of money attacking him and now it’s worthless…too damn funny…
July 22nd
Well…up at 4:44 this morning but laid there in bed until around 6 and now I need to get going to get the rides started before 7…for the fist time since I injured it 15 years ago, my right thumb didn’t hurt at all last night and I can’t figure that out…have been slathering it with voltaren every night for a year but today it’s just a little stiff…weird…it looks like no rain for another week so the lawn is gone for another year and that sucks since it was really coming in…oh, well…I do need to hit the library after the rides this morning to get a few more books…don’t have to cook today after grilling the chicken legs and pork loin fillets yesterday but I do have to do some meal planning to figure out what has to come out of the freezer…I do have some pork chops in there and I may take them out and try the second marinade I got a few weeks back…I did get some yard work done while I was grilling yesterday but I won’t have to mow this week with no rain…not much to do today…no cocktails for me tonight with a dentist appointment tomorrow and that will be good for me and I am looking forward to a day off…just what I need…the banner at the bottom of the screen says “very high pollen” and my allergies will be killer today…more later…
Joe drops out…
Well…I’m sitting here heartbroken that Joe Biden has dropped out of the race for the presidency…he has been the best president in my lifetime and he IS a good man who did what he promised…and I am ashamed that he was hounded out of the race by the moneymen and assholes on the left who put their own personal power needs ahead of the good of the country and I hate every damn one of them…so now I’m going to talk to the white guys here…Kamala Harris has just been endorsed by Joe and will get the nomination and it is up to us to embrace what can be a historical chance to elect the first woman president and beat the idiot trump into the ground…polls do show that Kamala polls lots better than trump and if we do this right, we could produce a landslide that would bury trump forever…I am curious who she picks as her VP…and there are lot of good people on the left…how about Jamie Raskin? Or AOC? I cannot wait for the debate between Harris and idiot boy…she will shred him…okay women…are we ready to take back your rights and squash maga forever? I’m all in so let’s go…

Well…please stop doomscrolling…look, I get it…the polls here in Michigan showed that Joe is behind by 7 points and if you believe that, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you…all of the stories about Joe are just gaslighting to make sure we don’t vote…their is no damn way the 34 times convicted felon and rapist is up by 7 here in Michigan…and it doesn’t matter anyway…if we vote, we win…that is the key to election right there…and there is a concerted effort by Russia, China, and the billionaires to throw the election to the idiot…and the Russians even endorsed JD Vance the other day…if you need any evidence that the repubs will kiss putin’s ass, there it is…can you imagine if the Russians endorsed Joe? It would be nonstop condemnation in every billionaire owned news media…and look, the billionaires have tripled their wealth under the idiot and want that back so they can steal even more…while Joe is readying a wealth tax so that’s why they are spending so much to defeat Joe…so, stop reading the lies and make you life simple…just vote…if we do that, we win…geez…
July 21st
Well…damn, I need to get on the bike in 15 minutes and I’m not sure if I can…trying to pour the coffee down to get a jumpstart but that’s not working yet…need to get two rides in before the F1 race at 9am and I am so tired of rushing all the time…and my back hurts like crazy but luckily it doesn’t get worse when I get on the bike…going to have to cook today and I have chicken legs in a marinade along with some 7 oz bacon wrapped pork loins I’m putting on the grill today that will feed me for 3 or 4 days…need something to go with them and I think that will be baked beans and potato salad but need to have the last bowl of potato soup for lunch…I am just so tired today but I need to get going and do my teeth before I ride…it’s only 62 out there so I hope the cool weather will wake me up…not much to do today…just focused on getting the first two rides in and surviving that…and that is no joke with how I feel right now…more later…
Another easy day…
Well…after the three rides this morning…I really haven’t done much but my weight work and picking a cuke from my garden to make pickles that I now have in the fridge…and the cuke I picked was just the right size to fill up a quart jar after I sliced it…can’t wait to try them since it really the only way I like cukes…and I have a huge jar of pickling spices that I should use up since they are a year old…I really don’t plan on doing much else today other than watch races that start right now…Indy car qualifying and then the Indy xfinity race from the big oval at Indianapolis so that will take up the day…dang, my back and right side were getting better until I spaded the walks the other day and now it hurts again almost as bad as it did initially…but no ibuprofen…I’ll just live with it as I always do…I had potato salad for breakfast…had to eat something…

Well…one of the themes of the crazy RNC convention was the magical thinking that people in the US were better off 4 years ago under the idiot trump…almost every damn speech was the same damn delusions that were devoid of facts…so let’s talk about some facts…the first one is that trump and his cronies were kissing putin’s ass almost every day which led to the invasion of Ukraine…is that better? Nope…then the pandemic which was so sorely mismanaged by idiot boy that an extra 500,000 Americans died from it after he said that the virus would “go away soon”…in July of 2020 the virus exploded in the US, rising 69% and deaths went up 20%…now let’s talk about the economy…from April to June the economy contracted 32.6 % and was close to the worst drop ever…and unemployment soared to 10%…you get the picture..idiot boy didn’t do anything right 4 years ago and he won’t do anything right if we let him back in the WH…that needs to not happen…get out and vote…geez..
July 20th
Well…damn, I’m feeling old this morning…and I don’t remember being in this much pain in a long, long time…so, do I take an ibuprofen before I get on the bike or not? It’s only 59 degrees out there right now and the only thing I want to do is sit here…but I won’t and that is a little crazy with how I feel….I am going to try to get three rides in before F1 qualifying at 10 but that means I can’t wait much longer to start…didn’t get a lot done yesterday so I need to do some cleaning today and some meal planning and it will all come out of the freezer…took some chicken legs out yesterday and I have a new marinade to try that I got a couple of weeks ago…and that will pair up with the potato salad I made yesterday…and I have baked beans in the pantry that would go with that, too…it hasn’t been too bad up here with the bike event and I’m happy about that…but I am looking forward to it being over…I wonder if I should make this a repair day and only do two rides? I could sure use it but the guilts will prevent that…not much to do today…just damn tired and I need a break…more later…
