Well…after all of the work earlier in the week and being so sore from it, I took it easy today and really didn’t do anything but the rides and a trip out to the beach…and I didn’t even swim much since the water was damn cold again and I couldn’t muster the energy to swim in the cold…I did make potato salad and this batch tastes good even though the potatoes were a little oxidized and dark…I did run out to get some more tortillas since I ran out and need to finish up the chicken tacos…have been eating lots of jalapeno in them…probably more spicy food than I’ve eaten in the last year…it was only 51 degrees when I got up so I did the first ride indoors but tomorrow I’ll be able to get right out as soon as I get up with the low only getting down to 62 overnight….okay, I need to reset the tire size on my bike computer since it’s not reading right…will probably adjust the pickup, too just to make sure…

Planting stories to weaken Biden…
Well…you knew this was going to happen with the corrupt billionaire owned media in this country…if you just read the mainstream media, it appeared that Joe Biden had lost all of the dem support other than his dog and he was contemplating getting out of the race… and even Obama was pressuring him to leave…not so fast..Obama came out today and said he supports Joe and his run and Hakeem Jeffries also came out and said he was “team Biden/Harris” and will do everything he can to help them get elected…so the stories of Joe’s lack of support are just what they call “ratfucking” by printing lies to weaken your opponent and all of the media was in on it except some of the independent ones that aren’t owned by billionaires…so, ignore all that crap and get out there and vote…ignore the big media and let’s put our heads down and get to work…if we vote, we win…remember that…geez…
July 19th
Well…damn, it’s only 52 degrees out there right now and I really don’t want to be that cold so that disrupts my whole day…was planning to get on the bike and get two rides in before I have to run the errand but that is not going to happen…and my back is so sore from the spading that I can barely move…okay, the weather widgit at the bottom of my screen says it’s 51 degrees and there is no way I’m going out when it’s that cold…so I’ll have to re-shuffle my entire day and sit here for a while…so maybe only tow rides today? I could sure use the rest and to just relax my way into the day…just do damn tired..I guess I could go downstairs and get a ride in and I might do that….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same but I do need to do some meal planning and get food out of the freezer…not sure what that will be until I look but don’t want to right now…only have about 700 more miles to do to beat my all time record of 6,109 miles and then just another thousand on top of that to get to my goal for the year and I’ll make that easily unless I fall off the bike or have a heart attack…I wonder that the total will be for the year? I may be able to get to 9,000 miles but I think I’ll shift back to only 25 miles a day once I get there…too damn old to keep up this pace…more later…
Forced to take it easy…
Well…after all of the work on the yard yesterday, my energy levels were so low this morning that I barely made it through the first two rides and was planning on only doing two to try to start to recover…but after setting the sod around the garage, I felt better and got back on the bike for the third ride…but was finished working by 11:40..and I am so sore from the spading yesterday, I wonder how bad it’s going to be with the second day rule? I guess we’ll see…all of the joints I abused yesterday are just aching right now and I will have to treat them with topicals before I settle in for the night…lots of voltaren on my shoulders and elbows and some biofreeze on my back and neck…need to run an errand in the morning since I ran out of tortillas and still have chicken tacos to make tomorrow…along with the potato salad that I cooked the ingredients for today…I hope this one lasts to the end and doesn’t spoil like the last batch…okay, need to get settling in to watch some good shows tonight…
What information do they have?
Well…with more and more of the dems piling on to try to get Joe to drop out of the race just because of the poor debate performance, all I have to say is shame on you…you have a president who has single handedly repaired the economy, our standing in the world, and shored up NATO and yet you sit there saying he’s not competent to do it again…and now with a bout of covid, they are piling on even more and it just sickens me…Joe has spent his entire life serving this country and has done a great job at it…but now that’s not worth anything? What the hell information do they have that Joe is going to loose? The polls are in a dead heat and all of the pollsters continue to say that you really can’t count on them until both conventions are done at the end of August…and Alan Lichtman, who has called 9 out of the last 10 presidential elections has said the Biden is going to win…so what the hell Obama? Yeah, even Obama is piling on now and that reads to me like betrayal of trust…what the hell does Joe have to do more than he has done? I am sick of these elites pushing aside a good man just because he’s old…they are going to lose this election by alienating people like me who think Joe should stay in the race…and they need people like me to win…world class stupidity…geez…
July 18th
Well…there comes a time when you need to realize that you can’t do the things you used to be able to do…I am so damn sore from spading the walks yesterday that my hands even hurt enough that I can barely move them…haven’t been this sore in quite a while and I have more work to do today with placing all the sod I cut out at the front of the garage on the bare spots…I guess that’s recycling and I’ve done that before two years ago when I did the first pass at cleaning up the walks…so that means I’m going to be sore again tomorrow and I still need to get 38 miles in on the bike this morning…so that means I have 28 minutes to pour coffee down to jump start this old body…I did go downtown last evening but didn’t stay long…had earplugs in when they started the concert and it was still too loud…I guess I’m getting old…now I just need to hunker down for the next four days and wait for the peace to return…oh, well…not much to do today…just the sod work and filling in a hole by the garage with the dirt that came out of the front…I need a day off…I got sunburned even with 50 sunscreen on yesterday so I’ll skip the beach until next week….more later…
Busy, busy day…
Well…here comes the broken record again…started the day with the first ride before 7am and then the grocery run…out for the second and third ride and then I spaded all of the edges of my sidewalks since the grass had overgrown so much you couldn’t see the edges and it looked like hell…so 250 feet later I am sore but it didn’t end there…when I finished the spading, it was only 1:15 and I wasn’t worn completely out so I decided to mow the lawn and finished that around 2pm…but now I am worn out so I’m down for the day…but I may go downtown at 5 since the concerts are starting this afternoon and outdoors is the only way I’ll ever see live music again…won’t do crowds indoors anymore…so now getting all this work done sets me up for an easy day tomorrow and I am looking forward to it…still have a few things to do yet but easy stuff…so I better get going…again…
I’ve had enough…
Well…look, I’ve had enough of dems knifing Joe Biden in the back every damn day…and now a person whom I respected has done it with Adam Schiff telling other dems that Joe should drop out…the most influential president who has got more done for this country than any other president in 50 years should drop out? Yeah, Joe is old…so what? Haven’t they been listening to his interviews and speeches after the debate? Joe is still 10 times the leader than Schiff is and now is not the time for any dem to take his marbles and go home…it is time for all of us to give Joe our full throated support and get going…there is no one else that the dems can run for president so shut the hell up Adam…and the rest of you…I don’t know why you are trying to tear the dem party apart but it probably has to do with money…and you cut rate machiavellis need to stop maneuvering and just stop this nonsense…geez…
July 17th
Well…damn, I’m getting really tired of this up at three and out of bed at 5;47 thing that is going on…just damn exhausted but my ribs appear to be healing a bit and I’ll take that…need to pour coffee down so I can get a bike ride in before the grocery run this morning and that means I need to be out the door in about 20 minutes…the noise and bullshit from the motorcycle event starts today and I really wish it would rain to keep the noise down but that’s not going to happen…I did get some work done yesterday and the lawn needs to be mowed and edged again but I think I’ll do that tomorrow…but we’ll see…I’m running out of the generic flonase that I use to keep the allergies at bay so I’ll have to order some this week along with some new earplugs since I’m out of them and will need some to use mowing the lawn and running the power equipment….this whole no days off thing is starting to wear on me and I wonder how far I can go without taking a rest day? Have been on the bike every day since last October and that hasn’t given my body any chance to heal…but the goal of riding every day this year prevents me from taking any off…yep, that’s a conundrum…not much to do today…just riding and the grocery run then figuring out what else needs to be done…more later…
Got some work done…
Well…it’s been a pretty normal, busy day today with getting the rides in before 10:30…but I took a half hour off to finish the coffee before I started on the potato soup….got the soup done and had lunch and then cleaned the back steps and the mats…both the inside one and the outside one and now they are drying in the sun so I can put them back…I decided to add some carrots to the soup today and I like the extra flavor it gives it so I’ll keep those in…will probably make another batch later in the week since I have 10 pounds of potatoes that need to be used before they spoil and I like having soup available when I don’t want to cook…tomorrow starts the 5 worst days of the year here with the biggest motorcycle event in Michigan that goes from Wed to Sun…all these assholes do is put up their trump flags and race around the city…last year a bunch of them blew through my neighborhood at close to 80 in a 25 mph zone and the cops do nothing…and that is just the start of it…loud music all day and til almost midnight ever damn day…so, needless to say, I’m not looking forward to it…I may ride through there since there are usually some weird bikes to look at…oh, well…
