Well…it’s pretty foggy out here today and I’ll be riding in it soon…crap, it hurts to pick up my coffee cup today and I’ll have to work through that to do the yard work…need to trim some tree branches on the mulberry tree and continue to try to kill the damn trash trees growing in my fence…and I think I’ll feed the lawn again using all of the leftover lawn food in the garage…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but the bike rides and I’m going to do another 38 miles today before I get working on the yard…have more chicken thighs that need to be grilled tomorrow and I wonder if I should go out and get another green pepper to grill with it? Still have more asparagus and it’s on sale again this week so I’ll get more since it’s great on the grill…damn, it’s funny that my poor old body has been popping since my knees started when I climbed out of bed…my neck and shoulders followed that up and I wonder what spurred that? It’s going to be around 80 today and the wind is only going to be around 10 so that will make for good rides today…and it will be out of the south which makes it even easier….not much to do today…just the yard work after the rides and I’ll be on the bike before 7:30 to get started….but I need more coffee first….more later…

38 miles today…
Well…haven’t had time to even look at the news yet so the political one will be later…did three rides for 38 miles today and it was fun…saw lots of deer and a huge snapping turtle on the trail and it was really pretty easy…don’t hurt at all and had plenty of energy so that is welcome…and I grilled some chicken thighs, asparagus, yellow potatoes, and a green pepper and the pepper came out so good that I wonder why I’ve never done that before? Sure hope I get some out of the garden this year…treated all the veggies with olive oil, garlic powder, dried onions, salt and pepper…yummy…I just love that old Weber my brother gave me…and I got the front suspension bushings lubed while I was cooking so that was cool…so I really don’t have much to do the rest of the day…I can use some time off…more later…
June 2nd
Well…damn, how can I be running late already with getting up at 6:26 and just starting the first cup of coffee? Need to get on the bike outside before 7:30 to get three rides in before noon to make up for only doing 2 rides yesterday…it rained for hours out here and my lawn really needed it…really close to losing it for another year after being dry for over a week and the rain is going to help the garden, too….should probably feed the lawn again and I need to whack the trash trees in my fence so I can put the lawn bag out Monday night…the sunflowers have survived a few weeks now and I wonder if I can finally get them to flower without the damn animals cutting them down? Have to add a few new strings to the lattice to give the pea plants something to hang onto but I don’t see them flowering yet…the beans have started to put out flowers and the cuke plants just may survive this year so the garden may just be a success this year…going to grill some food today with chicken thighs, potatoes, asparagus and green pepper going on it with garlic powder and dried onions…and I’ll take the tires off the front of the car and shoot the suspension bushings with WD as I wait for the food to cook…but I need to get moving right now to make that happen…more later…
Ran out of energy…
Well…damn, felt really lousy when I got up this morning so I skipped the indoor ride to let the coffee work a bit…but when I got out for the first ride, I knew there was something wrong other than having a couple of cocktails last night since I felt really shaky on the bike and barely had enough energy to climb the last hill coming back here…so, I had an idea what it was and made a couple of slices of whole wheat bread with peanut butter and that almost immediately made me feel better…I sat here for a half hour so I could watch the MotoGP sprint race and by that time, I was almost back to normal and the second ride was much better…but I stayed with only two rides today to let my body get better…and I’m sure that’s the result of being under 1K calories for a few days but I did it again today with just a bowl of soup and some chicken masala with rice but I’m used to that so changing it will be a little tougher than I expected…I think that will change tomorrow when I grill some chicken thighs with small yellow potatoes and asparagus….and the damn cottonwood tress have started to shed and it looked like riding in a snowstorm…coughing and sneezing on both rides…that might have something to do with how I felt…at least it rained out here and that may wash some of the pollen out…
Stupid trump lawyers..
Well…you know that any lawyer who will work for the idiot trump is not too bright since he or she is never getting paid…and the stupidity of the lead lawyer in the 34 felonies case that idiot boy was convicted of on Thursday is breathtaking…when asked why they didn’t call more witnesses to defend trump, this moron said because the prosecution didn’t call them…now, can he be so stupid to think he has to wait for the state to call witnesses? That’s what it appears from the excerpt of the interview that I saw…and let’s remember who this guy is…he dumped a partnership at the oldest NY law firm to go to work for idiot boy…and the partners each made almost 5 million dollars last year…so this moron’s judgement is suspect even before this interview….geez…
June 1st
Well…damn, I’m worn out today and dragged my butt out of bed at 6am…just poured the first cup of coffee and need to get on the indoor bike in 14 minutes to keep to the schedule…not going over to my brothers house today as there is a dumpster mix up so I have the day to myself…and that is a good thing with how sore I am today…have been abusing my old body lately and it just doesn’t take it like it used to…oh, well…had a good day and got a lot done yesterday and I need to feed the garden today before it starts to rain later at around 2pm…so I’ll have to get the rides in this morning before the drunks get on the trail today…it’s “pub pedal” day today and there will be carnage on the trail…maybe I’ll just do outdoor rides today….I am going to grill some chicken thighs with small yellow potatoes and asparagus tomorrow and I’m looking forward to that…I need a day to take it easy…so damn worn out and hurting today that I wonder if 24 miles will be enough? Went over 3,800 miles yesterday and that puts me toward being over 4K in the next two weeks so I’m still on schedule to make the goal for the year…I do have to get my “ride my age” day in soon so that will mean 6 laps of the 12 mile loop but that is not as daunting as it use to be since I’ve already done 4 before…not much to do today…just need to drag my butt out right now and get going…can’t wait for the rain….more later…
What a day…
Well…I really thought I’d fixed the car the other day when I put the new pads in the right rear but it still made noise coming back from the grocery run…a different noise but still noise so yesterday I took three of the 4 calipers back apart and lubed the pins with moly wheel bearing grease but then I also took some WD and lubed all of the suspension bushings in the back…and, when I went out to run an errand today, no noise at all…so now I have to take the front tires off and do the same with the front bushings…that was a load off and I didn’t even order the new front pads…going to wait a while for that…when I went out to mow the lawn, the lawn mower wouldn’t start so after I pulled it about 15 times I got the manual out and remembered that my brother included a new spare spark plug in the packet..so I changed it out and it started on the first pull…and I just stood there for a minute thinking that was just like him…thinking about everyone and trying to make their lives better…I really miss him…and tomorrow I’ll go over to his house with my last brother to help getting everything in order…going to be hard…I did get three rides in along with mowing the lawn today…and the getting up at 4:31 has left me exhausted…
No security clearance for you…
Well…as I talked about yesterday, a convicted felon can’t get a security clearance so guess who that is? You guessed it, the idiot trump…and it was reported this morning that normally, when a person is selected to be a major party candidate for president, they start getting classified briefings and get looks at classified documents…but that’s not going to happen with idiot boy…and it really shouldn’t just be the fact that he is a multiple felon…look what he did the last time he had access to those kinds of documents…he stole the damn things and who knows what he did with them…we know for sure that he showed them to multiple people who didn’t have any security clearance at all…and I think Joe Biden did the country a favor when he cut off his access to briefings after idiot boy was out of office…and lets remember that at least 75% of the world won’t let a convicted felon in…so is he going to do zoom meetings with world leaders…the whole damn thing is just so ridiculous….geez…
May 31st
Well…it’s a little after 5 am and I’ve been up since 4:31 and there is no chance of getting back to sleep so here I am…it’s shaping up to be another busy day today and I need to get started but it’s only 45 degrees out there and the heat is running and it’s June tomorrow…there is something wrong with that…need to get on the indoor bike by 6 or so…okay, not really…it’s just that I’m already bored and need to do something…the schedule looks like this: an indoor ride, then the errand to Meijers to pick up the stuff I forgot Wed, and stopping at the zone to order the brakes…then mowing the lawn, then out on the bike for two rides and figuring out when to cook the chicken masala…I wonder if there is going to be a nap in there at some point? I did start the coffee maker and it is starting to smell good in here…I am sore from the work yesterday and I’m going to be even more sore after today…and tomorrow is going to be more work at my brother’s house that needs to be done…I won’t say not much to do today since I’ll be busy all day…should get going…more later…
A few other things…
Well…I am still smiling that the idiot trump has finally started to be held accountable for his crimes with the 34 guilty verdicts that came down this afternoon…there are some consequences that come with being a convicted felon…in a lot of states you can’t vote…or serve in the military…ha, ha, that one made me laugh, too…or get a security clearance…so how does that work for a president? Oh, and travel to a lot of other countries that don’t allow felons in…and here’s another one that just came up over on Mastodon…how many banks will be willing to lend to someone convicted of 34 felony counts of fraud? We all know that idiot boy runs his businesses on debt and I’ll bet that most banks have rules to not lend to anyone convicted of fraud…or they will want so much security that he can’t come up with it unless one of his billionaire buddies foots the bill…but I think that some of his support is going to go away since he is just so frickin toxic…and now convicted…couldn’t happen to a bigger asshole….
