Well…running a bit late today with just pouring my first cup of coffee at 7:24…up and down all night but I did get 4 hours in before that started so I guess I have to live with it…it’s supposed to rain/snow all day today with high winds and we have another winter weather advisory on and I think we’ve only had a couple of days without some kind of weather alert this month…treated a lot of pain last night and the treatment seems to be holding this morning…at least my elbows don’t hurt like they did yesterday….they plowed the streets here…kinda…and pushed a two foot high snow pile across the entrance to my alley that no one could get through…so I suited up and went out there to shovel it so I can get out for the grocery run tomorrow…couldn’t depend on the city doing the alley…need to get on the bike here in a minute to get this day started on time…didn’t get going until almost 9:30 yesterday and that is way too late….have a few potatoes that need to be used so I may make a batch of potato soup today or tomorrow…not much to do today…it should be an easy one after the rides since I still have leftovers for today…should clean a bit and probably will but right now I have no motivation….maybe later….

Well…with the far right seemingly on the rise across the world, the one place where fascism should be hated is showing that it really is…over the past few day, there have been millions of people in the streets of almost ever city in Germany to protest the fascist meeting held there to plan on how to throw all of the immigrants and even naturalized citizens out of the country…along with plans to try to install a far right government in a return of the nazis…and the German people are not having it…now, can we do that here? We really do need to send a message to all the right wing assholes in this country, too, that there are many, many more of us and we won’t put up with their right wing terrorism…all you have to know is that putin is funding these “movements” all across the world…why do you think the repubs in congress won’t support Ukraine’s struggle for survival? Putin is paying them through shell companies as I talked about a couple of weeks ago…we need to stop thinking you can reason with the far right…they are fascists and need to be treated like the nazis they are…geez…
January 22nd
Well…woke up this morning to emby being screwed up again and it took me an hour+ to kind of get it working again…and that puts me behind for the whole day…should be on the bike by now but I still need coffee to work and I just started the first cup…didn’t get much done but scrape some paint downstairs and I need to get work done today but I sure don’t feel like it right now…the wind has been howling and there is snow coming down but I’m not sure how much since it’s not light yet…will probably have to shovel later but at least it’s not in the teens….my neck is pretty sore this morning and I’m not sure what the heck I did to hurt it…probably just getting old…ate way too much yesterday so today will be a light day with only lunch for meals…still have lots of the chicken masala leftovers and some bean burrito ingredients that I bought sour cream for and now I wonder why? Don’t have a lot of plans for the day but I should go to the library later…I can hear the doves on the feeder already and they are eating a lot of food…have gone through a hundred pounds this winter and will probably do a hundred more before spring…more later…

Well…the good news came today that ron desantis is dropping out of the presidential race and the only thing I have to say is good riddance…ole ronnie boy was probably the worst candidate I’ve ever seen…just a wooden, stupid prick who thinks he’s smarter than he is and has done his best to turn Florida into trumpworld…and his surgeon general just come out last week and told everyone to not take the latest covid vaccine…that’s the kind of unqualified people all of the repubs appoint…the only good thing that came out of ronnie’s run was that a few hundred million dollars that he blew won’t be available to any other repub up and down the ballot…bye, bye ronnie…don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out…geez…
An easy day…
Well…took it easy today and only did the rides and the weight work…again…I’ll get back to working around here tomorrow with cleaning the living room and doing the floors…oh, I did give myself a haircut today, too since I was looking a little shaggy and needed that cleaned up….the weight work is putting some strain on my elbows and they have started to hurt some along with my back but I think it will go away after I get used to doing it every day…I want to get the second coat of paint on the downstairs wall and I have some more paint that needs to come off the stairway since it is peeling and then I’ll paint that, too…will probably need to start picking out a color to paint the entire basement sine I really don’t like the blue it is right now…have to get working on this place…
January 21st
Well…my eyes are so full of crap from allergies this morning that I can barely see…and my head is plugged up and I am miserable…so tired of allergies that I have have to start taking medicine for them today…didn’t sleep well last night and if there was a day to take one off it would be today….but I won’t…I’ll be down on the bike in around an hour but that seems like a lot of work….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and I need to get everything done today before 3 when the Lions play…haven’t looked outside yet but it looks like it snowed last night…probably just enough to shovel it and maybe put some salt on the walks…ate way too much yesterday so I should just starve today to make up for it…had a small bean burrito and half a bowl of soup yesterday and I know that’s under 1K calories but that seems like a lot these days…just feel so fat and I’m not shedding weight like I need to…so that will make me get on the bike today…man, I’m tired…need more coffee…you know, I am tired of having so much discipline…when do I get to just live? Not much to do today…I am going to take the next hour to have coffee and relax and then get moving….more later…
A too lazy of a day today…
Well…yeah, the title says it all…didn’t do a damn thing today but the two bike rides and weight work and I feel guilty about that…should have cleaned the living room at least but that will have to wait til tomorrow since I just didn’t feel like doing it…it’s been three days since I’ve had to shovel snow and the pain from shoveling is almost gone….and it looks like no snow until Monday but then back to 3-6 inches again before the warm up comes Tuesday…can finally start taking some food out of the freezer tomorrow and I think I’ll make popcorn chicken and fries for a change…have pounds of those left in there and they need to be used….the tv show “Slow Horses” with Gary Oldman in it showed up on plex and I am going to make that the show for tonight along with svengoolie maybe….

Well…when did Nancy Pelosi turn into Nikki Haley and why didn’t anyone tell me about it? At least that is what it sounds like if you listen tot he idiot trump spout his gibberish like he did in NH earlier in the week…as he dragged out his tired bullshit…it is now Nikki Haley who was in charge of the military on January 6th and she is the one who didn’t send in the troops instead of Nancy…and the rest of the speech was a word salad that made no damn sense at all…and the repubs constantly harp about Joe Biden losing it and being too old to be president and yet they are going to nominate this moron who every world leader just laughs at…and it’s taken 3 years for Joe and his team to repair the damage he did…so let’s do everything we can to make sure he gets nowhere near the WH…vote! geez….
January 20th
Well…damn, it’s down to 2 degrees out here and I wonder if we’ll get down to zero this year? A warm up is coming in a few days so I guess Feb will be the only chance…okay, it’s up to 8 and I wonder how that works…the temp going up overnight? Hmmmm…slept all the way through til 5 this morning and then out of bed at 6 and I don’t think I’m ever going to sleep better than that…and that sucks a little…and I’m having a hard time getting going today with just working on the first cup of coffee….got to 300 miles on the bike yesterday and I’m hoping to get to 400 by the end of the month…that still is not enough to get me to my 7,000 mile goal for the year but I knew it was going to be a lot of work to get there with lots of 45 mile and 60 mile days once I get outside again…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and I don’t even have to cook today so it is going to be an easy day unless I decide to do some heavy cleaning….the living room could use some work…I did get to play some vinyl yesterday and that was a lot of fun and I may do that again today if I decide to clean…more later…
This is funny…
Well…I did make the chicken masala today and thought I’d play some vinyl while I worked…so, I put “Four Way Street” on starting with the first album, fist side, and got started on cooking…when I got to “Find the Cost of Freedom” that is the last song on the second album I had just sat down to eat…so now chicken masala takes one “Four Way Street” instead of and hour and a half….so damn dehydrated today that I never sweated even after two bike rides so I have been pouring water down all day to try to fix that….so now I don’t have to cook again for the next few days…but I do need to plan the meals for next week…but I’m not going to do that now…need to just veg a bit…
