Well…man, it got colder than I expected with the low of around 60 last night and I tossed and turned enough to throw the sheet and blanket off the bed…so I didn’t sleep that well but that’s okay…it is going to be an easy day today with lots of sports and races on…Man U plays at 10 but they have so many injuries so who knows what the team is going to look like…my shoulder, neck, and back hurt today and I wonder if it’s from the swim or from sleeping…all I know is it hurts and I may put the rehab exercises off for a bit…okay, the little weather widget on my screen just changed to “near record lows” for tonight so it will be in the 50’s and I’ll have to close this place up later….yep, just checked and it’s going to be 53 tonight and that is getting close to having the heat come on…in August? That is just too damn weird…it’s supposed to be in the 90’s in August…hmmm…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I am going to do laundry this morning since I need to keep packing and there are clothes in the basket that need to go in the suitcase….have a lot of tomatoes that need to be eaten and I think I may just make today a tomato day and just eat those all day…but, I’m not supposed to eat more than 2 a day to avoid irritation of my bladder as it heals…too many damn restrictions…I really want to get on the bike and we are getting to 5 weeks after the surgery and I wonder if I could try a short ride today? Not much to do today…going to pretty much be a veg day after I get laundry started but it’s not even 7 yet so I have time before I have to get going….more later…

What an idiot…
Well…damn, I laughed out loud when I saw the idiot trump’s mug shot from being arrested last night…I’m pretty sure he thought he was looking tough but he just looks like he just filled his diapers and ran out of new ones….I know that he has been told to shut the hell up by his lawyers or he’ll end up in the can until his trials so this is what he does for his deranged followers…giving them a visual cue that he is the toughest guy in the gang and it is just so sorry…and memes out there are really funny, too, as people take the mug shot and turn it into very funny ideas…and you noticed he didn’t say anything as he went in or out of the jail or at his plane at the airport…I’m pretty sure the lawyers told him they were out of there if he keeps up his bullshit attacking everyone…I still don’t think he believes he’s in any trouble and will get out of all of this just fine…and within an hour, he had the mugshot on a fundraising e-mail sent out to his glassy eyed disciples…and one of the newspeople on MSNBC last night made the funny comment that his followers were going to pay for the fuel for his jet in just the time he spent going from the jail to the airport…what a bunch of morons…geez…
Got to the beach…
Well…got to the beach today and got a short, short swim in…more of a dip really since the water was so damn cold…the storms that came through yesterday must have turned the lake over and brought the cold stuff up since it felt like it couldn’t have been warmer than the upper 50’s…so it was a splash and go…when I got back here I made a batch of chicken masala that came out good and now I’m sitting here feeling stuffed and looking for a political topic so I’ll get to that by reading some news over on Mastodon…be back in a bit…
August 25th
Well…that was better…slept okay and didn’t get out of bed til around 6 and I’ll take that any day…allergies are nuts, though, and I’ll have to try some flonase here in a minute just to be able to breathe…don’t feel too bad this morning and I really should after having cocktails last night…so I’m not sure what the day is going to be…have been thinking about going out to the beach for a swim and it’s already 70 degrees out there so I may be able to…but right now I am enjoying the coffee and F1 is on in the background and it’s nice not having anything to do this morning….I do need to make some chicken masala this afternoon since I thawed the chicken but that all goes into the instant pot so it will be easy…need to make some rice to go with it and still have some nan bread too, so that will be a good meal instead of o-rings and chicken I have been having…and I have lots of tomatoes that need to be eaten, too so that will be my second meal for the next few days…not much to do today…just going to do the exercises here in a minute and then get ready for a lazy day…I feel cheated that the storms blew up after they went through here and we just got a few spits of rain…oh, well…more later…
Today’s the day…
Well…today is the day when the idiot trump is going to be arrested, cuffed, fingerprinted, and a mugshot taken like the common criminal he is…and it appears that it is dawning on the other 18 co conspiritors that they really are going to jail…and a couple of them were so stupid as to invoke the speedy trial rule to try to get their cases moved to federal court and that has only driven Fani Willis to say she will oblige them and move the trials of all of them up to this year instead of next…meadows even tried to avoid getting arrested by saying she couldn’t do it until the motion to move the trial is heard and a judge just flattened that by saying he has to surrender before the motion…so, they are all going to be going to trial soon rather than later…and that suits me just fine…geez…
August 24th
Well…damn, that was a terrible night of sleep and I’ve been up since 4 or so…it never got below 74 last night and it’s going to be a hot one today….have to be at the rehab place by 7:45 this morning and that is going to be a stretch…and I’m going to the beach for a swim today since it’s going to be 90 or so and it will probably be the last one this year…still sore from using the string trimmer this week and I’ve been slathering myself with the menthol pain reliever my daughter left and it works some….I finally got some work done yesterday and my bathroom is cleaned for the first time in weeks…I did get started packing yesterday and realized I don’t have enough shirts that fit me anymore…not sure what I’m going to do about that but I may run out to Kohl’s and see if there are any clearance items left….might hit DD after the rehab appointment this morning if it runs an hour…they have Jalapeno poppers on sale for 3 1/2 pounds for 5 bucks and some dark meat chicken chunks like the breast meat ones that I got last week that I like….but are probably bad for me…not much to do today…just rehab and then the beach…it is so humid out here that I am sweating already….you would think this would be storm weather but no…dry as heck….more later….
Putin was involved in January 6th…
Well…just read an article that puts evidence together that Putin was involved in January 6th and that the idiot trump used him to help plan it…there were scores of private phone calls between Putin and trump in the run up after idiot boy lost the election in 2020, and one reporter has even uncovered evidence that the planning for it started in Helsinki when idiot boy had a 2 hour long private meeting with Putin…and let’s throw another wild card in here…the Saudi leader, MBS, was also the recipient of many private calls from the idiot and his SIL Kushner was basically a shadow Secretary of State who was rewarded for his helping out MBS by giving him a list of opposition people who MBS promptly arrested and had many of them killed…and we know what that top secret list was worth to MBS since he gave Kushner’s brand new investment company 2 billion dollars of which none of it has been invested yet…now does this sound worse than Hunter Biden have an illegal gun and not paying taxes? To me it does but the repubs won’t touch Kushner with a ten foot pole while they ahve had Biden under investigation for 5 years with only two misdemeanors to show for it….one good thing that happened today is that Leonard Leo, the billionaire who has been bribing Justice Thomas with gifts, trips, and cash, is under investigation by the AG of DC…I can’t wait to see what crawls out from under those rocks…geez…
Went to the cop shop…
Well…on the way back from the grocery run I finally stopped at the cop shop to put in a formal complaint against the idiots to the north of me…talked to a nice young officer who assured me that he is going to run it up the chain to make sure all of the officers know that they are not to give any more warnings but to start to cite them…I am going to take video every time they have a party in case we end up in court…at least it’s started and something is happening but now we’ll see what effect it’s going to be….
August 23rd
Well…I’m tired today and I’m not sure how I’m going to get going to do the grocery run…but that’s an hour and a half from now so I’ll let the coffee work and see what happens…got a lot of work done yesterday but don’t have a lot to do today…it was supposed to rain today but that was wrong, as always, so I’ll have to water the grass that has started to come up out front…and do the garden…going to start taking it out this week so I can get it out to the trash next week…I really should clean the bathroom today and that could be a project for later but we’ll see…I do need to go to the cop shop this morning to make a formal complaint about the assholes to the north of me and their constant parties…going into attack mode today and I am going to shut them down so I can use my porch again….it is kind of windy out here right now and I really wish that would mean some storms are coming…need to hit Target today to look for some new jeans for the trip along with some new footie socks to take with me…and I am going to buy more of the peanut butter pretzels…for the last time…don’t need to eat stuff that is bad for me…I do have way too many tomatoes and I’m going to have to eat them for meals for the next week and maybe puree them for use in sauces over the winter…not much to do today…have an hour before I need to get going so I’ll have more coffee and sit here for a bit….more later…

Well…damn, I hurt like crazy right now and it’s not limited to the surgery area…mowed the lawn, ran the string trimmer, and did two sets of my rehab exercises and now almost everything hurts…my back, neck, and abdomen are all in pain and I think I may have overdone it a bit today…but the lawn looks good and it feels like the exercises are doing something since I’m not as sensitive to the sound of running water after just two days so the muscles are getting toned up where they need to be….I will have to take an ibuprofen tonight but I haven’t taken any for a few days now so it will be okay…had the first of the 5 lbs of breaded chicken breast pieces I got last week and they are really good…very good seasoning and a nice crunch when I made them in the air fryer with some onion rings….and I still have 4 1/2 pounds left…yummy…
