Well…the idiot trump has been shooting off his mouth that he was going to present a 1,000 page “report” that will totally exonerate everyone charged in the scheme to steal the election in Georgia…and he was going to hold a press conference at his tacky golf resort in NJ Monday…but that’s not going to happen…I guess his lawyers finally got him to shut the hell up since every time he opens his mouth he digs the hole deeper and opens himself up to more charges…and I think they sat him down and told him that if he keeps it up he will go to jail until his trial in January…and with the evidence against him, he will never get out…he will spend the rest of his ugly racist life in jail and maybe it finally soaked through his thick skull that he can’t pull this bullshit in a criminal trial…so now he has said that the 1,000 pages of bullshit will be presented in “court filings” but if I was his lawyers, I wouldn’t touch those lies with a 10 ft pole since they are already facing sanctions for lying in a filing trying to get the trial moved out to 2026…I really didn’t know there were people dumb enough to see the wreckage that idiot boy makes of everyone’s lives who come near him and say “I want me some of that”….morons…geez..

August 18th
Well…running late today with not getting out of bed til after the coffee had brewed and that makes it after 6:20 or so….I really hurt this morning and didn’t do anything that I can point to that would have done it…damn, is it just from sleeping? I know I tossed and turned a lot since the sheets and blanket were on the floor halfway through the night…it looks like we are going to get high winds here today since they have a beach hazard warning out for waves from 6-8 feet…and, from experience, that would make the lake a mixmaster that is pretty dangerous to be in…it got pretty cold here last night…down to 58 and I had to close this place up to keep the heat from coming on…allergies are pretty bad today and I have a slight headache that will probably get worse as the day goes on…I really can’t waste another day doing nothing like yesterday but I am not motivated at all right now and I wonder if that will change anytime soon? Not much to do today…I should go out to DD to get some onion rings and breaded chicken pieces for when I get back from the trip and need a meal out of the freezer…and make a run to Kohls so I can look through the summer clearance stuff to see if I can find some shorts and maybe a new belt since I have run out of holes on the one I’m using now….more later….
Another reason to tax the rich…
Well…just read an interesting article about who is responsible for most of the co2 emissions and the first thing that popped into my head is that this another reason to tax the crap out of the rich…the study ran from 1990 and 2019 and found that the super rich or 1% are responsible for more co2 emissions than the poorest 50% of the country…let that sink in for a bit…if we just taxed the rich so much that they have to give up the private jets and superyachts, helicopters and 40,000 sq ft mansions, we could immediately lower emissions by a huge amount with no sacrifice by anyone but the rich…and to be blunt, they can all go to hell anyway…they have ruined this country by buying the SC to get rulings they want and need to be stopped as they are trying to buy enough politicians so nothing gets done on climate change….and these selfish bastards only care about themselves and think they are rich enough that they can sit in their mansions and be comfortable while the rest of the world bakes and burns to the ground…tax the rich and as soon as possible…geez…

Well…as I’ve talked about before, I have been trying to get all of my monthly bills set up to auto pay before the UK trip and I just got my 5th/3rd credit card set up…and the reason I did that today was I didn’t get my bill in the mail and it’s due in a week…so I figured I’d set that up today while I looked at my balance…did it all online and it took about 3 minutes…now I just need to do the same for the water bill but they have an outside firm handling it and it costs 1.50 per month for that…I know it’s only 18 bucks a year but still…no other bill charges to pay online since it is cheaper for them to do it that way…I thought I was going to have to actually go to a bank branch and it was a pleasant surprise to be able to just sit here on the couch and get it done…
August 17th
Well…having a hard time getting going today and have very little energy…it looks like there are some storms coming through in a few minutes but I’ll believe it when I see it….I am going to take the day off today with feeling so run down…have been trying to eat more but I don’t think that’s working yet…yow..the wind just started blowing so hard I can hear it over the tv so I think the storms are coming…sure hope so…okay, so now the wind has stopped and it was just a gust for some reason….got a few things done yesterday and I really should do more today but I don’t feel like it…need to get packing for the UK trip and I need to get organized in the next couple of days….damn, this one is pretty hard to get flowing for some reason….can I just live for a bit? Not sure if I know how to do that…but I am going to try…I think I need to buy a timer for the light here in the living room when I’m gone to simulate that I’m still here when I’m on the trip…and I think I should get another set of earbuds so maybe I’ll buy that stuff today….but I just hate to give that money to amazon and make the idiot billionaire that owns it more money…not much to do today…just want to sit for a while and have more coffee before I even contemplate moving at all….I may just sit on the porch when the storms come if they do…damn, I’m depressed this morning….more later….
Unintended consequences…
Well…with the repubs doing there best to essentially end immigration here in the US, an unintended consequence is that bordering countries such as Canada now have a huge pool of talented people that used to come here and contribute to our economy that are going there instead…over the past few months, Canada has instituted a new program that welcomes skilled tech workers and give them permanent residence after 6 months of working in the country…and in the first lottery, over 10,000 workers applied and were accepted in 48 hours…and now since the program is so successful, employers are now asking for the program to be expanded…and with a permanent green card issued after 6 months, the workers are free to change jobs which keeps employers from exploiting them by paying less than market pay and that doesn’t depress Canadian citizen’s wages…this is what happens when you legislate for the good of the country and not to promote racist hate as the repubs do here….so dems, we need to vote these assholes out so we can get this country moving forward again…geez…

Well…got the day moving, finally, with getting the zoom meeting out of the way and then heading out to do the grocery run to get the ginger and Greek yogurt for the chicken masala I’m making in a couple of days…started breaking in the new shoes and they are going to need it but they are really comfortable already so no big deal…have the laundry in and I’m getting ready to saute some peppers and onions for the soft tacos I’m making for lunch but I just want to sit here for a bit and have some more water since my right big toe is hurting and a reminder that I need to stay hydrated to avoid a flare up of the gout…now I’m going to read a bit of the news to find a topic for later….
August 16th
Well…running about on time today with waking up around 5 and then lying in bed until almost 6 and I feel okay even after all the work yesterday….today will be easier with just the zoom meeting at 9 and then the rest of the day is open and I do need to start figuring out what to pack for the UK trip…I did find the small bags to use inside my suitcase for t-shirts shirts and shorts…I need to buy another pair of jeans and some new bootie socks to use to go with all of the compression socks my daughter sent me…and I have to remember to buy some new earplugs for the plane and sleeping in strange hotel rooms…should probably put a list together for all of the things to do so I can stay organized….had to make two calls on the assholes last night and I will be going over to the cop shop to put in a formal complaint next week so the cops can then start watching the house and cite them for a public nuisance and disturbing the peace…damn, I’m working too hard on this….not much to do today…just the meeting and then maybe the grocery run after if it doesn’t go too long…but right now I need to have more coffee and read some news….more later…
An easy day turns into a busy day…
Well…the plan for the day was to just run an errand early to pick up some top soil and pretzels from target and then just take it easy…but when I got back here and finished my coffee, I took the soil out front and planted some grass seed in the spots that have died during the drought out here…and then did the weed walk after I finished that, had lunch, and then noticed I had an hour before soccer started so I decided to mow the lawn and got that done before two…then some phone tag to get the zoom meeting set up for 9am tomorrow and I was finished around three…but that was a long time after the 9am that I had planned…but I only have the grocery run to do tomorrow after the meeting or I may just wait to do that til Thursday since I like to get the run done really early…I do want to make the chicken masala in the instant pot so I’ll need to get some ginger and some other stuff for that….but, right now it’s after 6 and I am done for the day….
Finally, Georgia drops the hammer…
Well…it was a bit of an exciting day yesterday waiting for the indictment of the idiot trump an his cronies and when they dropped last night, it was all that was expected…idiot boy was charged with 10 more felonies bringing the total that he is under to more than a hundred and one of them in Georgia is a RICO charge that carries a mandatory 5 year sentence that can’t be bargained away…and every damn one of the conspirators including rudi, meadows, and 17 more have been charged…and they have to turn themselves in on August 25th to be cuffed, printed, and have mugshots taken….and it is all going to be televised and I can’t wait to see that…it is so funny how the magats are trying to spin this one…with ole lindsey crying that it is all politics…first amendment something, something…hey, lindsey, they are coming for you next…these charges are going to decimate the Georgia repub party since almost all of the people running it have been charged with a crime…and that makes me smile…here in Michigan, we have charged a lot of the leaders of the repub party as part of the fake electors scheme and they will be going away for years….a good day for democracy…finally…geez…
