Well…damn, it’s still raining out there and it has been since about 3 yesterday afternoon…and it looks like another hour or so until it’s over so the mowing will have to wait til tomorrow…had a waiting day yesterday and didn’t get much done as I sat here waiting for the nurse to call me back and reschedule the zoom meeting…oh, well…used some new roll on cooling stuff for my sore neck and it seems to have worked okay…still hurts but I can move it better so that’s a plus…going to use it again this morning so I don’t have to move my whole body to move my head…it’s 60 degrees with heavy rain right now and we have a flood watch on…it looks like we had more than an inch of rain overnight but I have no problem with that sitting up on my little hill…not sure what I’m going to do today…still working on leftovers that my daughter left here two weeks ago but those will be finished in a couple of days so I’ll have to cook again…I feel like I’ve gained about 5 pounds of the ten I wanted to so I’ll have that done before the trip…still look too thin but I’m getting there…not much to do today…just going to ease into it and wait for the reschedule as I have lots more coffee….more later….

Still waiting…
Well…still waiting for the call back from the nurse to reschedule our zoom meeting and maybe I’m a little too nice about that stuff…nope…I can afford to be nice if it will help a busy person get through an emergency…but the thing I’m really waiting on is the indictments that are going to come out of Georgia by Wednesday…from news reports, there are around 20 more people along with the idiot trump who are going to be indicted which means his whole inner circle is going to jail…please, please make it lindsey graham, too since he was involved in making his own phone calls to the officials in Georgia…and rudy is done along with meadows and all of the lawyers…especially john eastman who hatched the entire fake electors scam…and the thing I think is funny is that here in Michigan, our AG Dana Nessel has already indicted the fake electors here and just because she didn’t indict trump, it all flew under the radar which I’m fine with…there is no possible way idiot boy is going to beat the 80 felonies he has already been charged with and Georgia could add a dozen more…and if Willis goes with RICO charges, on conviction that is a mandatory 5 year prison sentence that the repub governor cannot pardon away…so, I sit and wait today…it is a little bit of a pain to just wait…but I guess that’s my day today…I did get my electric bill and gas bill on auto pay and now I just need to do that for my 5th third card and the water bill and this whole place will be automated for the UK trip…
Well…crap…
Well…this day is going to try me as it goes along…first, the nurse called me when the zoom meeting was supposed to start and said she had an emergency and had to reschedule so I’m waiting on that phone call right now…and the power supply to my laptop just quit but luckily I had a spare and I’m back up and running again on this old thing…just don’t like typing on my tablet…kind of cumbersome and slow…and with the new power supply, the screen is bright again and I hope it stays that way…probably should order another battery before the trip…and, of course, the rain is falling apart before it gets here so instead of a soaking , we might get a sprinkle or two…that means I can mow the lawn early tomorrow and get that out of the way…so now I sit and wait…more later…
August 14th
Well…that was a really crappy night of sleep and I’ve been up since 4:05…really worn out and I really need to get moving since I have a zoom appointment at 8:45 and need to shower and clean up a bit before then…and read whatever new message is out on my UofM mychart….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and probably won’t get much done today and I am hoping we really are going to get the rain we’re forecast to get…but it looks like the force field is working again and the rain is going north and south…so I may be able to get the lawn mowed today….my neck still hurts after three days and I think I may have to take something for it today…the voltaren works a bit so I may just keep that up for today and see where it goes…need to get out for another walk today after doing 5 miles yesterday…picked a couple of milkweed pods on the walk yesterday and I am going to try to plant them at the back of the house for the Monarch butterflies and I may even see if those seeds are available at Menards…not much to do today…still in leftover mode from when my daughter was here but that ends over the next few days…so I’ll need to do some meal planning this week…but right now I need to get on mychart to see what is going on…more later…
Another lazy day…
Well…haven’t gotten a lot done today but I did get out for a 5 mile walk through the city and saw some cool stuff that I posted out on Mastodon…much more fun walking with my mp-3 player than without it…and I do like my Fila walking shoes…they have memory foam in them and are so light I can barely feel them on my feet…and they should pair up well with my new sketchers that I am going to break in over the next month….have a zoom meeting with a social worker/nurse tomorrow morning so I’ll need to keep the cocktails to a minimum tonight….it looks like it’s going to rain in an hour or so and it is forecast to rain all day and night tomorrow with the possibility of an inch and a half of rain total for the day…so I’ll wait to mow the lawn until Tuesday…but right now, the race is on and will take up the rest of the day…
Stupid criminals…
Well…it has been clear for quite some time that trump an his cronies are not too bright, but the latest news out of Georgia shows that they are just stupid, stupid criminals…if the reporting by the NYT is correct, Fani Willis has text messages from rudy and the rest of the conspirators that show they were all in on the scheme to breach voting equipment after the 2020 election…and how much you want to bet they were involved with the idiots here in Michigan who stole voting machines and broke into the software trying to change votes to the idiot trump…if this is true, the grand jury is going to be busy when Willis starts presenting evidence tomorrow…and we may see indictments by the end of the week that should include RICO charges that will add years to any sentences that these morons get…going to be a good week for the rule of law in Georgia…and they should lock these assholes up awaiting trial….and one little note…the sheriff of the country has said these idiot will be treated just like any other criminals with handcuffs, mug shots, and fingerprinting so trump won’t be able to just waltz in and out like he’s done before…good!
August 13th
Well…damn, running late with not getting out of bed til 6:47 and I am having a hard time getting started today…and I am really sore from sleeping wrong the past two nights and I need to not do that anymore…will probably need to take something for it today and I don’t like to do that…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done…I am going to put my walking shoes on and get a walk in through downtown today since I need to get my legs toned up for the UK trip that is only a month away…still have leftovers to eat today so I won’t need to cook for a few days…I think I am gaining some weight and that’s okay since I am too thin…and I’ll be back on the bike when I get back so things will get back to normal…really can’t wait to get out again…not much to do today…going to ease into it this morning and watch some soccer in a while….need to get the windows open to cool it down in here since it is only 63 outside and I’m sitting here sweating already….more later…
What the hell is a “perjury trap”?
Well…I really like the way the idiot trump’s incompetent lawyers keep floating trial balloons on what they are going to present as a defense…first amendment was one of the first on and it was met with ridicule in the indictment from Jack Smith…and just today, after idiot boy was admonished by the judge to keep his mouth shut or there would be consequences, they have floated a new one that I’ve never heard of…they complained the that Judge Chotkan was setting a “perjury trap” for idiot boy…as if that was a thing…I think they are just admitting they can’t control what the idiot is going to say and he is going to run afoul of the judge’s rules…and by saying it now, they think it will protect the idiot when she drops the hammer on him for shooting his mouth off….it is going to be fun to watch anyway….
August 12th
Well…running about on time this morning with getting out of bed around 6 but I’m feeling pretty worn out…again…and my neck hurts on the right side so I must have slept wrong last night…damn, waking up with new pains every day is getting old…as I am…there is a nice cool breeze blowing in through the front door right now and it feels good…but we still didn’t get any rain yesterday when the rest of the state got hours of it…and that sucks…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today will be much the same with soccer starting in a half hour or so…need to do an E check in for the video doctor visit on Monday and that will cost me another 45 bucks in co pays…and I am still waiting for the big bill to come…the new shoes came yesterday and I really like them…they have big lug soles that will be good for winter and walking around in the British rain…and I really hadn’t noticed how the memory foam in the old ones had gotten flat…don’t think I’ve ever had three pairs of usable shoes at once in my life…not much to do today…don’t have to cook today with all of the leftovers I pulled out of the freezer and I am still trying to eat more but with little success…oh, well…more later…
Chutkan is not screwing around…
Well…a real judge was on display in the courtroom this morning where Judge Chutkan took control of the case against the orange idiot…she is not fooling around and, she bluntly told idiot boy’s lawyers that whatever his job is, that will not have any effect on the trial…and she went on to say that trump is a “criminal defendant” and will be treated just like any other one in her courtroom, taking the running for president bullshit out of the mix immediately and telling them he will get no special treatment because he is running…she especially admonished trump’s lawyers when they said basically that they couldn’t control what idiot boy says at his rallies and she told them again, that he will be treated the same as any other defendant and if he reveals what the said he couldn’t, his ass will be hauled back into court to hold him in contempt…and if he keeps up trying to taint the jury pool by his loud mouth, she will take whatever “measures” are necessary to protect the case…this is going to fun to watch…idiot boy has never had to keep his mouth shut in a criminal trial and I really don’t think he can…is there a betting pool for when he is going to screw up? My bet is later today….geez…
