Well…damn, I feel like a car with an almost dead battery…the clock and interior lights work but there is nowhere near enough juice to start the engine….up at 5: 34 this morning but was able to stay in bed til a little after 6:30…the laptop is overheating this morning and I’m not sure why…the fan is running like crazy and it’s warm to the touch…crap, I just don’t need to have anything happen to my tech today….got a lot of work done yesterday but today is going to be an easier day…I do have to cook some chicken for tacos today since I ran out of food to eat…have three pounds of boneless/skinless chicken thighs to cook and I will probably grill some of them….and I’m going to make some egg salad for a sandwich for lunch…damn, I need to get out on the bike in 30 minutes and I sure don’t feel like it…but, I will….didn’t see what was trampling my garden last night but I’ll keep watching for it tonight…the kittens have moved on and are not under my front steps anymore and I think I’ll miss watching them play…I think my energy deficit is from not eating enough…had a bagel for breakfast and then a chicken thigh and two spoons of potato salad for dinner and that is only about 800 calories…still losing weight but the effort is taking it’s toll…not much to do today…just the rides and cooking…but I should clean some, too…and I might…but right now it’s all I can do to just drink coffee….more later….

It must be a deer..
Well…it looks like the damage being done to my garden is from something pretty big since it looks trampled today…so I’m going to go out there tonight with a flashlight and see if I can see anything…probably should find a good sized rock to set at the back door to throw at it…didn’t go to the beach today since I scorched my skin yesterday…but I did get a lot of things done…the bike rides of course, and then ran an errand to get the stuff I needed to make chicken tacos Sat and ran over to DD to buy more of the cheap salami at 1.50 for a pound and a half…so now I have 6 pounds to put in the freezer and I’ll have to make room for it…so I have around 8 pounds and that will last me for two or three years since I can’t eat a lot of that stuff…after I got back here I got the laundry started and then assembled the potato salad and made a jar of pickled red onions for the tacos…so I’ve been busy and I sure hope the latest “Strange New Worlds” has dropped on plex so I can relax a bit…there is still a vermouth shortage so it will have to be Martinis tonight…darn…

Well…just a couple of days ago, something happened that I think shows the Jack Smith is running to get to the trial going in the documents case that he is bringing against the idiot boy…in a surprise move, he has turned over all of the evidence they have to the idiot trump’s lawyers in a process called discovery…but the surprise is how early in the process it has happened…and the pundits are saying that the next thing is getting a trial date set but with the trump judge running the show, the date of August 14th that she set is surely going to slip into 2024….just like the trial on the 31 tax fraud felonies in NYC…I can’t wait for the explosion to happen when the idiot has the testimony read to him and all of the people he thought were going to protect him threw him under bus….and I think Mark Meadows is going to be the biggest one….can’t wait for that…geez…
June 22nd
Well…damn, up and down all night last night and I feel like crap today…and my back is sore for some reason right down to my right hip but that won’t keep me off the bike…I do have to go back to Meijers this morning since I want to make some chicken stir fry over the weekend with some boneless/skinless thighs I got from DD yesterday…and I’m going to get a red onion to make some pickled onions to use on everything…but I need to figure out what goes with it first so I can make that food…not sure if I’ll go to the beach today with the burn I got yesterday and I think I just want to take it easy…and the beach has less attraction with not being able to swim…I do need to put the potato salad together today and figure out what the second meal is going to be after using the leftover grilled chicken…I did hard boil a couple extra eggs for egg salad but I’m not sure I need to eat two meals today…darn, have to get on the bike in 18 minutes to get out by 7:30…it’s 65 with 70% humidity so I’ll be sweating on the bike today….not much to do today….just the rides, cooking , and errand and then I’ll take the afternoon off…..more later….

Well…what a darn busy day today that was filled with lots of car time searching for sweet vermouth and I am now sure there is none in Muskegon or any surrounding area…so, no manhattans for me tonight…darn…I did go to the beach today and remembered to bring the 2 buck pair of flip flops I bought at Ollie’s…burned the bottom of feet yesterday and didn’t want to do that again today…the water wasn’t much warmer and with it getting to 93 out here, the beach was just too darn hot to stay there very long…so, after an hour I packed up and came back here…but it was so hot in the car I turned on the AC and that made the drive home much more tolerable…and I got to test the AC to see if it still worked and it does…so that was cool….ha, ha…that’s a joke, son….I did get lots of food today to fill the freezer back up with chicken, thin sliced turkey breast and some salami they had on sale for 1.50 for a pound and a half…didn’t eat much today with just a bagel with cream cheese and half a chicken thigh and a couple of spoonfuls of potato salad…but that’s enough…will have to cook tomorrow and make another batch of potato salad that is cooked but needs to be assembled…was out for the first ride at 7 am and I’m not sure if I want to do that again tomorrow…we’ll see…

Well…jim jordan is such a frickin loser and as he tries to kiss trump’s ass in his committee hearings…just today he brought in John Durham…you know the guy who Barr appointed to investigate the start of the trump/Russia investigation and the idea that it was a “deep state” hoax just to attack idiot boy…and I’m sure ole gymmy thought he could bring durham in to keep the “investigation” in the news but it just didn’t work out that way…after all, durham worked for years and spent millions of dollars and the only two indictments were laughed out of court…and today, the dems on the committee eviscerated durham, catching him in a bunch of lies and essentially getting him to admit that there was no reason for his investigation to happen…and no amount of gymmie’s spin could fix that…damn he just keeps stepping on those rakes that he leaves around everywhere…if I were him, I’d be embarrassed…geez…

Well…damn, I have 14 minutes until I have to get on the bike so this is going to be a short one…want to get a ride in before the grocery runs so that means I need to be on it before 7…going to hit three stores today since DD has lots of stuff on sale…I mean 5 pounds of breakfast sausage for 4 bucks? And boneless/skinless chicken thighs for 90 cents a pound? Have plenty of room in the freezer so I can stock up again…damn, have to be on the bike in 8 minutes and I am so frickin worn out that I can barely move…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I hope to have everything done by 10 or so then out to the beach….or I can skip the beach and relax a bit…that decision will be made after I get the rides and grocery runs in…I did get some color yesterday and could use more to even out my tan…lots to do today…going to be running for the next few hours and I need to start right now….more later…

Well…the right is going frickin nuts today when Hunter Biden reached a deal and will plead guilty to misdemeanor failing to pay federal taxes and illegally possessing a firearm that is currently a felony but he may be able to plead that down, too…so, as the right is going crazy shouting about it only because he is Joe Biden’s son, he is getting off easy and they think he should get a hundred years because something, something…and they are wailing that because the idiot trump could get 400 years or some such nonsense and there has to be a connection since both of these things happened so close together…that is idiot boy being indicted and Biden getting a deal…there just has to be a connection…so now, more than a year out from the election, the repubs lose a talking point but I’m sure they will lie and make up 5 more to replace it…geez…
June 20th
Well…damn, one of these days I’m going to take the day off and just sit here and watch tv all day….hurt my back somehow and it is stiff around the sides and I wonder how it’s going to do on the bike…didn’t get my water bill again this month so I need to go over to city hall today to pay it and bitch them out about it…it’s warm enough to get out on the bike as soon as I’m ready but it will be another 45 minutes or so until the coffee starts to work…damn, my right elbow hurts now and I think it’s going to be a rough day….the last day off the bike was after the last biopsy and that was a month ago but I still need to do the big ride before my birthday…and the weather is going to change later in the week down to the 70’s for highs so it may be the perfect time to do it…we’ll see…have leftovers for meals today but I do need to plan for the rest of the week…still have a block of 5 pounds of chicken in the freezer that I can thaw but I may get some thighs tomorrow or maybe something at DD…not much to do today….just the rides and some cleaning but it’s going to be 90 so I’m going to the beach again….but it’s boring if I can’t swim so I won’t be out there long…more later….
Got a swim in today…
Well…I got I’ll call a swim in today but it lasted a total of about 2 minutes the water was so cold…but I went under so that counts and makes it 66 years in a row that I have gotten a swim in Lake Michigan…didn’t do anything else today other than cook on the grill…made some chicken thighs, Italian sausage, and roasted potatoes so I’ll have food for a couple of days….man, it’s hot out here but my house isn’t too bad with the wind blowing so I may not have to put the AC unit in this year…we’ll see…it’s 88 outside but only 78 in here and I can live with that…need to put the fan on in a minute to get some air moving…I think I got the mini bike shut down yesterday since the idiot kid was nowhere to be seen or heard today….good riddance…I think I’m going to watch the “Extractor” movie tonight and that will take up most of the night but then I’ll probably do the Korean show after that…okay, need to go out and put the trash out…it’s too hot to have trash sitting out next to the back door…doesn’t smell too bad but I’m not going to take that chance…
