Well…damn, waking up and getting going this morning is more of a process than an event…up at 4:04 then floated back into sleep until around 7 waking up a few times in those hours…had a really pleasant surprise when I looked Mastodon as I normally do when I get up…someone had posted a clip of CSNY doing “Down By the River” from what looked like when “DejaVu” was released…Neil and Stephen were playing at each other with David moving in and out with them and Graham on the Hammond B-3…just a rocking version shortened for tv but still a cool thing to wake up to….didn’t get much done yesterday and I’m leaning toward taking the day off today since I’m running out of days to do that…I mean what’s the point of being a fit dead guy? I do have to run an errand this morning but I am not going to shower before it like I usually do….okay, the coffee is not working yet…I’m a little impatient about that today but I’m only about a third of the way on the first cup so I need to take a breath….not sure what I’m going to do today…will probably do at least one ride but I don’t need to cook until tomorrow with having both chili and rib leftovers….my teeth were really painful when I got up today but have settled down after I stopped grinding them and I hope the lack of pain continues….not much to do today…my weather widget is telling me winter weather is coming and that is feeding into my depression today…but It’s not going to get worse…I hope….more later….

My legs are sore…
Well…while I was on the bike this morning, my legs hurt quite badly so I decided to not do the 31 miles again today…and I really didn’t want to be cold today, either, so that made the decision for me…I did get 16 miles in and made some ribs and rings for dinner but didn’t get much else done but the grocery run this morning…and I forgot a couple of things so I need to go back out to Meijers for a short trip in the morning….and that will lead to hibernation for Thursday night since we are supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow overnight….I am so damn tired of winter and want to get my garden prepped…I do need to put the seeds in cups tomorrow so they will be ready to go in after last frost…but right now, I’m going to just sit here for a bit and watch a motorcycle race in the rain…
Can’t find a topic again…
Well…I’m not sure what is going on but I am having another day of searching for a topic to write about…although I could laugh a little bit about how the repubs are flailing as they try to run the house and put a budget together…especially after Joe Biden put them in a box in his SOTU address…and now he is back at it again with proposing tax increases of almost 3 trillion dollars to make sure Medicare and SS are sound at least until I die…and that money is going to come from the rich and corporations…and he is doing something I’ve always advocated and that is ignore the repubs and go straight to the people with his ideas since they are so popular…but I also think he needs to makes sure people know that they would benefit from the policies he is proposing and hammer the repubs daily on the cuts they want to do to working Americans like cutting Medicaid by almost 50% throwing millions of low income Americans to the wolves of no insurance….or repealing the inflation control act that caps the price of insulin to 35 bucks a month for seniors on Medicare…you get the point…the only people the repubs give a damn about are their rich donors…I know I’ve hammered on that a lot here but damn, it’s true and all of us need to shout that from the rooftops…oh, I did have a topic…cool…
March 8th
Well…up at 6:03 this morning and when I was lying in bed trying to get moving, I saw something that was a little confusing…the full moon streaming into my west facing window threw a pattern on my wall that made it look like I had two windows in there instead of one…pretty cool…and I slept okay but ground my teeth again and have a little pain from it but not as much as yesterday so that is cool…not going to ride before I do the grocery run so I can ease into the day and have coffee and then do a ride indoors this morning as I wait for the temp to come up enough to ride outdoors this afternoon…but that will be the last one this week with the temps dropping and watching for a winter storm for Friday morning…so, I need to get all of the errands run today and tomorrow….didn’t get a lot done other than the rides yesterday but I think I may be getting used to it…I did find a container to put on my side table to put the bills in when they come to make sure I don’t miss a payment….need to be a little more organized around here….not much to do today…just the grocery runs and then getting on the bikes…doing the 31 miles yesterday put some miles in the bank in case I don’t feel like riding…my legs are sore and that seldom happens….more later….
31 miles today…
Well…after getting 16 miles in this morning on the indoor bike, the weather was just so inviting with the temp up to 46 and sunny…so I suited up and did another 15 miles outdoors to give me 31 for the day…surely don’t have my summer lungs or legs but it was a good ride until coming back from the beach into a 10 mph wind that was kind of a chore…I did get the chance to ride by the huge boat storage building that caught on fire yesterday…150 boats in it and they think it’s a 2-3 million dollar loss…and you could smell it from a quarter mile away….my legs hurt quite badly right now so I think I’ll take something for it before I get into the relaxing later…my teeth are holding up now but with a bit of a setback after I got up from grinding them all night…the hole where the molar used to be started to hurt but that went away this afternoon and that was the first time I even felt that part of the work…second day in a row I didn’t use any orajel or ibuprofen for the pain so that’s progress…and I can chew on that side a bit so it’s slowly getting better…yay!

Well…when mccarthy gave exclusive access to tucker of the January 6th camera footage from the capital, I knew that he would edit it to make it look like the thugs and criminals did nothing wrong…and that just happened last night on tucker’s racist, fascist hour… where he described them as “orderly” and non-violent…but my question is if they were so “orderly” and “non-violent”, how did so may cops get injured? Did they all trip and fall down and then beat themselves with flagpoles? Do “orderly” “visitors” smash windows and kick in doors as they smear crap all over the walls? I wonder what the purpose is here? It’s been two years and the January 6th committee has already shown that this was no “orderly” visit…it was a mob who attacked the capital and killed people and no amount of whitewashing by tucker is going to change that…I guess it’s just to gin up more outrage from his conspiracy loving viewers who are not the smartest in the world….gee…z
March 7th
Well…slept okay last night but ground my teeth and that means pain again…but it’s not too bad so I can live with it…must have slept on my left side last night since my neck hurts on that side…having the pain subside a bit yesterday gave me hope that it is going to heal but I’m not so sure today….I know that it takes time and I haven’t had to treat the pain in a full day so maybe? Didn’t get much done yesterday but do some laundry and do the bike rides but I’m still pretty worn out today….didn’t eat a whole lot yesterday with a bowl and a half of chili and a 4 inch piece of smoked sausage in a leftover hamburger bun…less than 1K calories I’m sure and I need to plan out meals for the rest of the week…there is no protein on sale this week and I normally do corned beef and cabbage for St. Paddy’s day but not at 4 bucks a pound…I think I need to vary my diet some and get away from the normal chicken and pork but I am thawing some of the last batch of ribs I have in there for tomorrow that needs to be marinated some time today….it may be warm enough to get outside on the bike today but I’m going to do one downstairs to start the day…it is only 30 out there right now so going outside is going to have to wait…and today will be the only time this week I’ll even think about outdoor rides since the highs are going to be in the 30’s the rest of the week…I get impatient for the weather to break every spring and the wait gets depressing at times…I do have to get my seeds in the cups today and get some bean and tomato seeds tomorrow so I can get everything going to be ready for the last frost…more later…
Progress…
Well…after having pain eating lunch…I was pretty depressed and really thought I wasn’t making any progress in healing….but then I tried some chili as dip with some tortilla chips and was able to eat on that side…still painful but not the howling pain that it has been for the past week…and the pain stopped right after I stopped eating….so I decided to give dinner a try and had a piece of smoked sausage on a bun and was able to eat on the left side and now I sit here with barely any pain drinking ice water so I do have hope that there is progress happening with healing….have not had to use any orajel today and that would be the first time since I had the work done a week ago…I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that it’s not just a fluke and the howling pain starts again…
Tried it, didn’t work..
Well…as you know, I’m fighting to recover from having the gums on the left side of my mouth torn up and then stitched back together…and I haven’t been able to chew on that side in the week since…but it appeared to be getting better over the weekend so when I made chili today, I decided to try to chew on the left side but that lasted one spoonful and the pain started right up again…so we’re back to square one again although it doesn’t hurt when I don’t use it and that is progress from before…I really hope this is one of those times where it hurts until it doesn’t and surprises me with that soon…but now, it didn’t work…and that sucks…
I’m glad I live in a blue state…
Well…when I look at what is happening in the red states across this country…the hatred, book banning, fascism and an explosion in no permit open carry, I am so glad I live in a blue state that is completely controlled by the dems…I mean if your a dem in Florida, how could you take what the asshole desantis is doing to you state in cooperation with even more right wing repub cronies…I mean outlawing teaching of any black history or charging teachers with felonies for displaying the wrong book in their classroom while not telling them what books are the wrong books? So that means the rich environment of ideas that used to exist there is now completely controlled by the repubs…recognize that? Yep, sure sounds like fascism to me…and they have criminalized even talking about LGBT issues in any Florida school and are now packing the management of every college/university with desantis cronies and are turning them all into Hillsdale…that far right college here in Michigan that pushes constantly for the separation of church and state to end….so yep, I am glad I live here in Michigan but we all need to get out to vote in every damn election because if the repubs take over here, the rights of many of our fellow citizens will be gone…geez…
