Well…that’s probably as close to a normal night’s sleep that I’m ever going to see again…only woke up once around 3 and the only reason is I was cold with not sleeping under any blankets to start the night…how the heck can you be shivering sleeping in full indoor thermasuit and with it still 66 in here? After working downstairs for an hour or so yesterday, I was expecting to be coughing all night but it really didn’t happen until now and it’s not even that bad…still feel congested but maybe getting two rides in daily this week is helping to clear out my lungs…and it is 55 outside right now so I can get on the bike early today…as soon as it gets light and that will be a good start to the day….still have that damn headache I’ve had for weeks now and I’m not really sure what it could be…I think it started when I had to close up the house with the cold weather but I can’t be sure of that…can’t really take anything for it since I am running out of allergy meds and can’t get more for a couple of weeks…might try some aspirin to see if that will help…I do have to finish up cleaning the yard today and get the last of the gardens bagged up but then I’m done other than trying to fill in the garden I put in the yard but I have to find usable dirt to do it…might have to buy a few bags of topsoil if it’s still available….then I’ll probably seed it with the seed I have left after repairing the front yard….not much to do today…going to just take a normal day with two rides and then fooling around a bit…need to start putting the hardware back on the linen closet doors and get them hung this week…they came out really good and look nice…and that will complete the work I’m doing here other than cleaning….now to get to finding a house for me….more later….

Thank you, Detroit….
Well…all of the news outlets just called Michigan for Joe and we have Detroit to thank for that….as the ballots from this side of the state and the rural areas came in first, the idiot trump was ahead…but, that started to change early this afternoon when Detroit’s ballots were being counted and Joe went into the lead…and to show you how stupid trump and his cronies are, they sent their brownshirt fascist disrupters into the ballot counting rooms in Detroit to stop the count but they didn’t do it until Joe was in the lead…so if they had been successful in stopping it, which they weren’t, Joe still would have won the state….so that puts Joe’s EV count at 253 as the counts go on in a few states and he leads in PA NV, and AZ…so, we should know tomorrow since they have stopped counting for the day in PA but will start up again at 10 tomorrow morning …so far it looks good for Joe and Kamala…I’m still keeping my fingers crossed…
It’s warmer outside than it is in here…
Well…okay, this is a little weird…was just out getting rid of the dead flowers out front in shorts and a t-shirt…and when I got back in here I looked at the temp and it is warmer outside than it is in here….so, it’s November, 70 degrees, and I have the windows open….that’s pretty cool…haven’t felt a real Indian summer in a long time but this week is it…I was even out on the bike in a t-shirt and shorts for the second ride today and that was pretty neat…supposed to stay like this until next week and I just realized that all of the time I spent outside has my cough better…still coughing but not nearly as much as earlier….I needed that break since my abs and chest have been hurting…oh, and I only have about 125 miles to do to make it to my last goal of 5416 for the year…looks like I’ll make it if I can keep up riding doubles every day….one last thing…I got the first of the listings for houses from my brother today and found one house in Ionia that looks interesting…it’s in the village but it has a nice lot and a two stall detached garage with a big front porch…and, it’s only 96 K so if I were to put 45K down…my payments would be around 500 bucks a month including taxes…and I could swing that pretty easily….and they have a Meijers in Ionia….supposed to be a nice little town…I wonder if there are bike trails there? Guess I’ll have to search and see….
It just dawned on me…
Well…as I was out working on cleaning up the front lawn, it just dawned on me that half of this country is a bunch of racist pieces of crap…to have the election be this close when the choice is between a racist piece of crap like trump and an honorable man like Joe, it’s the only conclusion you can draw. We have half of the electorate in this country who are ignorant know-nothings and are damn proud of it…and just love being led around by the nose by fox news and are happy that trump gave them permission to bring their racist bullshit out into the open….and I guess they like the idea of punishing people who are not like them and keeping children in cages is just peachy with them…they are brown anyway and that makes them sub human to half of the country…you know, I’m damn glad I’m old and don’t have much longer on this Earth….the way this country is going it will be populated entirely by these asshole haters, and I just can’t take that…
November 4th
Well…damn, another 5:14 morning but I didn’t cough as much last night so I guess that’s something…but, it’s started up again and my lungs are bad enough that I can’t breathe too well right now…no dreams to speak of so I know I didn’t sleep too well…I did get out for two rides yesterday and the second one was a chore but my legs feel okay today and that is just a little weird…but they should start to hurt tomorrow if they keep up the two day rule…and I’m going to get two in today, too, since it is almost 50 out there right now so I can get out as soon as it gets light…I did get the rest of the painting done yesterday and it felt good to clean up my tools for the last time…now I need to put the hardware back on the doors and hang them but that is going to wait for a couple of days so the paint can harden a bit…I do need to get on the yard today to do some of the final cleanup but I’m not sure when that will be with the two rides I need to get to the final goal…still have more than a hundred miles to do but the weather is going to cooperate for the next few days so I should be able to get there….still feel pretty worn out so I need more coffee and some rest….more later…
Trump is going to try to declare victory…
Well…this gets more laughable as time goes on…the repubs are filing suits against state voting laws and continue to keep getting slapped down even by trump appointed judges…I think they are looking back to 2000 when Florida ignored their laws and counted a bunch of mail in ballots that were postmarked after the deadline and gave the election to bush after the SC stepped in and stopped the ballot counting. I think that is what they are shooting for here again…to try to find a judge somewhere who will rule for them so they can eventually get it to the SC where their illegitimate justices will give them what they want…and to help with that gaslighting, trump is going to go on the tv tonight and declare himself the winner no matter what the count says…and the television media is going to go along and carry it live…and this after trump telegraphed that he was going to do it and many outlets carried that story yesterday. Yeah, not gonna work…there are too many people involved in counting the ballots who have integrity and are going to report accurate counts and no amount of bleating by the loser in chief is going to change that…it may take until later in the week and we have better lawyers than they do so I say bring it on, loser…wreck what’s left of the repub party so we’ll grind that into dust in the next election….geez…
Countdown…election day…
Well…the day that we’ve all been looking forward to and dreading is here and my stress level is still at 11 and that is part of the reason I’m late here today…needed to take advantage of the weather and get 26 miles in on the bike and I am beat…but I’m here so let’s get started…okay, right up front, I hope all of you have voted or plan to today…we need all hands on deck to make sure the orange tumor that has infested our country for the past four years is gone in January…and while I am cautiously optimistic….okay, I hate that phrase, have read it over a hundred times today, it does nothing to describe the tension we all are feeling…one good bit of news is that the idiot boy’s ground game in PA really doesn’t exist…it appears that Brad Parscale, who was supposed to do it before getting fired, just took the money and ran….and many polling place in red areas are dead with no lines to speak of….oh, we can only hope since we are almost 700K ahead in mail in ballots and that may carry us to a win there….turnout is ridiculous across the country and may reach 70+ percent which is almost 10% higher than in 2016…whether that favors us I’m not sure and I think the analysis will have to wait until after the election…one thing that is happening is the turnout of younger folks is up 20% from 2016 and they appear to be pretty darn motivated…so, let’s keep them motivated by giving them a seat at the table to understand what they want the country to look like and what it is government can do to make their lives better….we should know by 9 pm or so who won Florida and Georgia…if Joe takes either one it’s over for idiot boy, if he takes both, it’s going to be a landslide and maybe almost 400 EV’s…I do know that after I finish this, I’m tuning out to watch soccer and then catch up on some shows tonight instead of watching the news…I may check on the results before I go to bed since that would be as good as a sleeping pill to me…and I am going to have martinis tonight….fingers crossed….
November 3rd
Well…4:54….don’t really need to add anything else but the time I got up this morning….and I didn’t get to bed until after midnight so that sucks…and I’m coughing, coughing, coughing…again…feel like crap and my ribs hurt…again….I finally got a bunch of stuff done yesterday with almost finishing the painting that I will do this morning….and I need to do the grocery run today along with getting two rides in since I haven’t been on the bike for two days….the wind was just too much yesterday but the good thing is that it blew all the leaves off the front yard after I cut the grass short so they wouldn’t stick….I do need to pull the flowers out of the front since the frost got to them and they are all wilted and dying and finish up cutting the garden waste up and bagging it…but, I’ve got all week to do that…it’s supposed to be almost 70 Thursday so I’ll finish up the outdoor work by the weekend….man, I’m tired….I’m not going to watch any of the election reporting today…just can’t take it anymore so it will be a day of other stuff….maybe some sports or a “Legion” marathon….after I get my work done…should probably get the painting done before I go out for groceries so I can get on the bike as soon as I get back to set up the second ride this afternoon…might even get out in shorts this aft since it supposed to be in the 50’s…..I am going to hit DD this morning…they have smoked sausage on sale for 89cents a pound but you have to buy a case that is 11 pounds….I think I have room in the freezer downstairs and that will keep me stocked up until I move for sure…more later…

Well….sitting here with more time on my hands since the wind is blowing a steady 20-25 and gusting to 40, and with it being cold, I am not going to go out on the bike today…it is just too brutal when you’re going as hard as you can and then a gust hits and stops you in your tracks….so, I had a thought I wanted to talk about…with all of the lawbreaking that has gone on in every part of the government under idiot boy, and the stonewalling that has kept records of this criminality secret since there are no tools that can get the government to cough up these records to house investigators if they don’t want to, I wonder what these idiots think is going to happen when Joe wins? All of the records that will prove these morons broke the law will be readily provided to every house committee that wants them…so I think we need to watch for the big shredder trucks rolling up to the WH and the Justice department on Wednesday….and then prosecute everyone who has destroyed these records when we take over in January. If I were a member of ICE or the border patrol, I’d be especially scared of investigation since it has already been documented that they have brutalized immigrants for the past four years and have gotten away with it for now since trump’s justice department has looked the other way for all that time….cripes we are in for a clean up job in January….
Countdown…one day til the election…
Well…okay, I’ll admit my stress o meter is pegged at 11 and thankfully I had some painting to do that took up some of my free time this morning…but not really enough so I thought I’d do this one to use up a little more…the final polls are in and they show no movement toward the idiot trump with the national polls showing an almost 10 point Joe lead and 538 moving their projection to a 90% chance that he will win…but, let’s remember one thing…they had Hillary at 88% at this same point and the idiot boy won…one point that I am hoping will hold up is that at no point during the 2016 election did Hillary have the support of 50% of the electorate and she still won the popular vote by 3 million…in the final poll, we see that Joe is at 52% which means there are very few undecided voters and these voters broke for trump last time and put him over by the 77K votes he won the EC by….I think the eye of the needle is much smaller this time and, let’s mix metaphors here, and can lightning strike twice for the idiot boy? One interesting poll from this morning is that Joe and idiot boy are tied in Texas at 48.1% and that is surprising in blood red Texas but I think it reflects the demographic changes that are happening there and, even if Joe doesn’t win, the writing is on the wall for the repubs that change is coming…and not a minute too soon. The Georgia senate races have tightened a bit and are basically a tossup today but we’ll see what turnout says there…we need to remember that Stacey Abrams only lost the last governor’s race by less than 1% even with the widespread voter suppression that may be able to be countered by turnout…I hope so anyway. I still think we’ll get the 4 seats we need to make Moscow Mitch the minority leader but that one is going to be a nail biter. So, please people, get to to vote like this country depends on it…and it’s not hyperbole to say it does…I need some calm in my life and trump has to go to make that happen….VOTE!
