Well…a few good, high quality polls for Joe today that put him up by 6 in Florida and that means that he has an 89% chance of winning the EC according to 538, and a 95% chance of winning according to the Economist…if trump loses Florida the game is over and we should know that late on the third or the early hours of the 4th…and crucially, Joe is over 50% and that leaves only the undecideds that trump could get and he would need to get all of them to even get close…okay, I know we on the side of good have a habit of seeing the worst and remembering 2016 when Hillary was ahead (but by about 2/3rds less than Biden is now) and got almost 3 million more votes but still lost…so we need to keep working up to the night of the 3rd and then be ready to take to the streets if idiot boy and his minions try to steal the election…but, let’s also take a breath and think about all the work that has been done so far…have a drink, and get ready for the pull all the way to Tuesday…we are saving this country and that is damn hard work. Think of how good it is going to feel when we kick trump and his cronies to the curb…I have the cocktails ready…

The dog ate my homework…
Well….with the “wet laptop” smear of Joe Biden that was found out to be Russian disinformation that was given to the idiot Rudy Guiliani to push falling flat because it was just so ridiculous…we now have the moron Tucker Carlson going on his show last night to say that he had a “huge” packet of information that would destroy Joe and “prove” that he was a crook…but, here’s the catch…he then said that the packet had “disappeared” during transit from one of the “major” carriers that deliver packages…yeah right, just like the dog ate my homework dodge that every kid has used when he didn’t do his homework…look, Tucker, I have one question to ask: “what’s the tracking number from the package?” Every one of the “major” carriers routinely e-mails a tracking number when a package is on the way…even the USPS has started to do that so you can tell when the package will arrive and where it is in transit…and my second question goes to his assertion that there is no electronic copy of the information anywhere…yeah, Tucker we are not in the 80″s anymore…everything has an electronic record…where is it? I f this “information” is so important, there has to be an electronic copy of it somewhere…so, where is it? Look, we all know that tucker is a liar…he even got a court case thrown out by a judge BECAUSE he is a liar and the judge said you couldn’t trust anything he says…so, another try at smearing Joe crashes and burns…I wonder when these morons are going to realize that you can’t smear an honest man? They are so used to dealing with people on their side who are liars and cheats so they think everyone does it…but not Joe…tick tock….your time is coming to and end…
October 29th
Well….damn, running late again today and it is because I’m trying something new with my sleep…instead of just getting up when I wake up at o’dark thirty, I’m trying to stay in bed and see if sleep will come back…and I need it to since the sleep deficit has gotten so bad that I’m exhausted all day…it worked today with waking up at 4:30 but I forced myself to stay in bed and didn’t get up til 6:30…some of that time was even sleeping so I got over the 5 hour mark last night…hope that helps today…..I did get a bunch of stuff done yesterday after the grocery run and it makes me feel good that I have grown a nice lawn here for when my son takes over…and I got to use my new waterproof slip ons and they are pretty darn comfortable and warm so worth the 15 bucks I spent…and I got a ride in, too, and that made me feel better some….and it looks like I’ll get out today but later in the morning…I do want to get the first garden cleared out this morning and get the glass put back in the storm door on the front of the house along with more prep work to get the final painting done…it looks like the weather is going to get better next week with highs in the 50’s and it would be cool if I could get out on the bike in shorts a few more times….but, I understand that it is coming on to November and that means cold is on the way…I am getting used to it already so maybe it won’t be so bad this year….more later…
Countdown…6 days til the election…
Well…with the election coming up fast, I thought I’d do a countdown post every day until then to talk about what I see happening and what the state of the race is. So, here goes…in the overall, it appears that Joe has a pretty good chance to win with being up around 10% nationally but, as every pollster says, it not the national polls that mean anything but the state polls that are the important ones….so, if we look at the state polls for the swing states that idiot boy won by 77,000 votes in 2016, Joe is up by 7 in Pennsylvania, up by 9 here in Michigan, by 9 in Minnesota, and by double digits in Wisconsin….so what does that mean? It means that I would much rather be our side than the repubs…especially since the Cook political report just moved Texas from lean r to tossup…and that means that Joe has a 50-50 chance to win Texas…I’m not sure I really believe that yet but there have been a few good polls for Joe lately that puts him up by 3-4% so maybe…and if Joe wins Texas, it’s all over for trump. Even Florida has started to turn for Joe in the latest polls that have him ahead by maybe 2% there….so there are many paths to get to 270ev for Joe but as the days go by and we get closer to the election, the doors appears to be shutting on idiot boy…can we breathe a little yet? I think so, but damn it…get out to vote to make sure we are smiling on the 4th…I can’t go through another night like 2016….
October 28th
Well…that was a little better…didn’t get up til 6:24 this morning but I didn’t do anything different so I’m not sure if that’s repeatable…I did put earplugs in for the first time in a while last night so I wonder if that’s it? Think I’ll try that again tonight just to see….still coughing this morning and I had really hoped that I was healing up since it had been better yesterday afternoon….just can’t wait til I can take a full breath and not feel like I’m suffocating…I think it didn’t help working on the linen closet doors downstairs yesterday and making lots of dust sanding them….I did have a mask on but that doesn’t seem to help much….didn’t get on the bike for a second day yesterday with all the rain and the temp not getting over 37 but I am getting out today but I’m not sure when that will be since it is only 33 out there right now and I do have to do the grocery run this morning….one good thing about not riding is that my legs don’t hurt at all today but being off for two days is going to set me back on fitness and I’ll have to take it a little easy…have thought about making it a two ride day but Man U plays this aft and the nascar race my finally be run at 3 so I think it won’t fit in my schedule…not much to do today…I need to get the filler sanded on the doors I worked on yesterday so I can paint them later in the week but that should only take a few minutes since I got the hardware off of them yesterday….then just the normal stuff….more later….
File an ethics complaint against Barrett…
Well…cripes Barrett is just sworn in an is already breaking the norms and ethics of the supreme court…last night, in her swearing in ceremony, she did a commercial for the idiot trump and his campaign by going along with the WH ceremony and then thanking only repub senators who voted for her. Isn’t his a judicial no no? Okay, yeah, I can hear you laughing from here…she has shown that she is just a political hack who is going to do her best to try to get trump elected and then take away voting rights and a woman’s right to choose as soon as she takes her seat…shouldn’t there be a way to file an ethics complaint against her since justices are not supposed to be political or take part in political activities? This spectacle has just shredded any legitamacy that the court had and makes it even more urgent that we win the senate and expand the court to 15 members…and then reverse any damage that these unqualified right wing assholes do in the next 3 months….then impeach Kavanaugh for lying during his hearings….look, the repubs are the ones who have destroyed the court by their bullshit packing and they have only themselves to blame for whatever happens next…and we need to just tell them to shut the hell up since they set the precedent of doing whatever the hell they wanted on judges, ignoring rules and conventions that have been observed for a hundred years or more…now we just need to win the senate to make this all happen…get the hell out and vote!
October 27th
Well…damn, I’m tired…another night of coughing and waking up at 2:34 to take something for it….this needs to end sometime, doesn’t it? Oh, well…and it’s raining out there again so I’m not sure when I’m going to be able to get on the bike today…tried twice yesterday but both times I suited up it started to rain by the time I got out a quarter mile and, as I’ve said before, I can take it cold and I can take it raining but not cold and raining….so, it looks like an afternoon run today…and that fits in with having the nascar race rained out again yesterday and scheduled for 10 this morning…I did get some work done around here…finally, with getting the doors off the linen closet so I can paint the last part of the interior that isn’t painted….need to remove the hardware and prep them today and I have a door frame in the room I’m using that needs prep for paint, too, so I may not get to painting until the weekend…I did have to go out to HF to get some more painters tape and then to dunham’s to buy a pair of waterproof slip on shoes they had on sale for 15 bucks…my outdoor shoes had cracks in the sole so working outside in all of the wet had gotten uncomfortable….they fit pretty good once I remembered that with these cheap brands you need to buy a size larger than normal and they are pretty comfortable…going to try them out today when I mow the lawn this afternoon….at least they won’t fall off my feet as I walk…not much to do today…I do want to get on removing one of the gardens today and cleaning that up and I need to pull up the snapdragons I used to fill some empty spots both in front and by the garage door,too, but right now I need more coffee…just can’t get started but I’ve only had an eighth of a cup of coffee and that is not enough to even feel it….more later…
Can we have hope yet?
Well…I think this next week is going to be one of the most stressful in my life after enduring 4 years of bullshit from the idiot trump and his criminal minions….maybe just one more week and we can have hope…can we start that now? It appears that all of the lying of trump and his cronies trying to tar Joe with something, something Ukraine….no China…no..fracking, no…you get the point…none of these lying smears have stuck and Bill Barr has disappeared so what’s the next “October surprise?” It appears that even Putin and Netanyahu have given up on trump by pointedly saying that they haven’t seen any evidence of Biden wrongdoing and they look forward to working with “anyone” who can repair relations in the world. Yeah, does that sound like idiot boy? Nope. Oh, and my ballot has made it to the city clerk and will be counted on election day…so, now is it time to have hope? The polls have mostly been good for Joe across the country this past week with him being up almost 12% here in Michigan and Gary Peters is up by 5…by only 5? Have you seen the lies that John James has been spewing about Gary? Oh, and don’t watch Pluto tv until after the election…it appears it is really cheap advertising since every damn commercial is a political one and I got tired of turning it off when the idiot boy and his cronies come on and lie and lie and lie. Look, I think I’ll continue to do some more of these freeform posts since I need it to lower my stress level…I remember election day 2016 vividly and I’m not sure I can survive another day like that one….I just hope that my fellow progressive have gotten out to vote and we can eradicate the moron next Tuesday….I need to have some hope…
October 26th
Well….that was a little bit better…was able to get back to sleep after waking up at 4:15 and didn’t get up til 6:30…and the coughing is not as bad this morning but it’s still here and still annoying…and tomorrow makes it 2 weeks and I am tired of it…other than that, I just feel worn out today and I think that is the effect of not sleeping more than 5 hours for months now…man, I hate bitching about this stuff so I think I’ll stop now…I did get a nice bike ride in yesterday and I hope to get out for another one today but that will have to wait til this afternoon since it is cold and raining out there…I do need to start taking the gardens out today…or maybe not since I have a couple of weeks to do it and it shouldn’t take more than an hour for both of them…and I’m not putting the plants out in the trash for a couple of weeks…I do need to run an errand this morning to get some margarine since the stuff I have has turned rancid again and I need it for the mashed potatoes I made yesterday..this is the second container I’ve had go bad in the past month and I wonder how old the stuff is that I have been buying…I guess I’ll have to look at the sell by dates more closely…cripes I wonder if my taste buds are going weird on me again like they did a couple of years ago? Back then, my toothpaste tasted like ashes but I haven’t noticed that…yet…not much to do today….think I’m probably going to veg it out a while before I run the errand and the race from Texas was moved to this morning with the rain they had yesterday so that will give me something to do at 10 and through lunch…more later….

Well…hey, undecided voters…and even you trump supporters…this is what the idiot boy’s chief of staff said on one of the news shows this morning…that they have just given up doing anything about the virus that is killing more than 1,000 Americans a day and infecting over 80,000 a day…they are just going to wait and do nothing until there is a vaccine or other treatments…but until then? Not a damn thing…everyone is on their own and it’s perfectly acceptable to them that there will be another 150,000 dead before a vaccine is ready…how is this not manslaughter? Or reckless endangerment? How the hell can anyone be undecided when this news comes out every damn day…do you really think that trump is a better president than Joe Biden will be? I just saw a cartoon that puts the undecided voters in perspective…it has a child in a cage being asked by a woman with a cup of coffee in her hand…”who do you think I should vote for?” If you are still undecided you are one ignorant son of a bitch if you haven’t seen how atrocious idiot boy is….and if you can consider voting for trump after he has killed over 225,000 Americans by his inaction, you are dumber than a box of rocks and probably shouldn’t vote anyway…geez…
