Well….this is just too damn funny…for a monster who is only concerned with his tv ratings, little donnie is going to freak out with the numbers that just came out…the idiot’s cocaine fueled shitshow of hate and screaming got 15% less viewers than the first night of the DNC….and now they are spinning that to say that if you count the 400,000 people watching on c-span…something something….the truth is that they can count all of the zombies they want and they won’t make up the 2 million plus more that watched a real political party giving hope to America than the amateur hours they put on last night….these idiots have been in charge for the last 4 years and speaker after speaker went on and on about how terrible things are, that blacks are coming to the suburbs so hide the white women…well, maybe not that explicit but the appeals to “suburban women” by trying to scare them into voting for trump were a staple of the second rate crap that was put on…and, I have a question…how can things be so bad if the greatest president in the history of the world has been in charge the past 4 years? I guess they expect the entire country to have amnesia and forget the bungling, grifting, incompetence and racism and the 182,000 Americans who have died because trump and his minions couldn’t be bothered to do anything about it. I am sure glad there are people getting paid to watch this mess…I sure couldn’t take it….

August 25th
Well…okay, I hurt everywhere this morning and I can’t believe how badly my hands hurt and how stiff they are…and everything else feels the same so this is going to be an interesting day on the bike…and I need to get out as soon as it gets light since there is some rain coming in and I really don’t feel like getting wet today….it is going to be a big day today…going to become a grandpa this morning and I am excited about that…just wish I could be there and I wonder how I’m going to be able to see my grandkid with the distancing still going on? This whole thing just sucks….I am going to do the grocery run this morning so I can do my beach day tomorrow morning and that is the reason why I had to do the two awnings yesterday…and I just realized that I have the decorative railing around the flat roof to clean up and paint still and that is going to be a lot of detail work and a lot of peeling paint that needs to be removed….could take three or four days to get that done but I’m going to wait until it cools off later in the week…still feel worn out from the heat yesterday and I don’t think I should test my body by doing another day like that…not much to do today…just riding and the grocery run and I can get to 4K miles if I do both rides at 18 miles this morning….but that will depend on how I feel after the first one….more later….
I’m beat…
Well…damn, it was hot outside today…and, like an idiot, I chose today to paint the last two awnings just to get them finished…and that was after I did 20 miles on the bike to start the day…started on the awnings at 9 and kept busy until almost 1:30 until I was done…by the time I finished, everything I was wearing was soaked…all the way down to my shoes and I am beat up from it…and I really struggled while I was doing it at times….having to stop to get some water 3 or 4 times and to take a breather when I just couldn’t go up that damn ladder again….my feet didn’t fare too well and I am expecting that the gout will flare after all the abuse today but it was worth it to get the job done…now I just need to figure out how to get the last one down so I can take it apart to paint it…man, I just feel used up right now but I am going to celebrate finishing by having a cocktail or two tonight…I think I’ve earned it….texted photos of the before and after to my son and daughter in law and my daughter in law replied that she loves what I did to them…I do think they look much more modern…oh, and one funny thing that I noticed today is that the ladders I’m using have paint on them from the last time they were painted probably 40 years ago….and now they have paint on them from this time…pretty funny…I wonder if the ladders will last til the next time? I’ll be dead and gone by then….
More doom, gloom, and lies…
Well…as I said the other day, I won’t be watching any of the trump fluffing that is passing for a repub convention but I have read some of the people who get paid to watch that crap and it is just more of the same doom, gloom, and lies that is at every one of idiot boy’s “rallies”…and since the repubs didn’t even produce a platform of what they stand for and plan to do, they are just leaving all that up to the idiot and whatever he spews during his “speeches”….and, if you didn’t think that the entire repub party is now a trump cult, every damn person that spoke today just praised idiot boy as the bestest, most wonderful president that there ever has been or ever could be. Nothing for the people of the US, nothing on how many people have died from his bungling, nothing about the wildfires decimating California, or the derecho that devastated Iowa…nope, but we knew that was going to happen, there is not one once of empathy in anyone in the repub party and they sure don’t give a damn about the people they supposedly represent….but, there was a bit of light today…the AG of New York just filed a suit against trump and all of his organizations for manipulating the worth of some of his properties when trying to get loans or pay taxes…hmmm… I wonder if the details will come out before the election? One more thing for trump to worry about when he loses…tick tock, trump….
August 24th
Well….damn, I think I’ve got another eye infection…at least it feels that way…or it could just be allergies that I haven’t taken anything for in a while…so maybe I’ll try that today to see how it feels…didn’t sleep for crap last night and had dreams about forest fires for some reason…but I’m back to getting up at 3:40 and that just sucks….and I still have two awnings to do the next two days but I am still sore from the last one and that is going to make these two a little more difficult…at least they are in the open and I won’t have any problems getting the ladders to them like the last one….I do have to get my Lake Michigan swim in this week and I think that will be wed since it is supposed to be hot and the lake temp is almost 70 still so that will make it nice….and that will make it 62 years in a row that I have had a swim in the lake….and it will be nice to get the hell out of here for a while and drive the car a bit…so that means I’ll have to do the grocery run thurs but that’s okay…or maybe tomorrow…we’ll see….not much to do today…just the bike ride and the awning but I should mow the lawn too…I did get the grass to start in the big bare spot out front so I’ll have to patch the rest of them out there and keep watering it to maintain it….more later…
The repubs truly are a death cult…
Well…just wanted to do a shorty on a jaw dropping poll result that came out this morning…when asked if they are okay with the response to the coronavirus and the fact that 180,000 Americans have now died from it, 57% of repubs said they were just fine with it…and many of them echoed the idiot trump’s comment that “it is what it is”…and that is the true measure that shows that the modern repub party is a death cult…that 180,000 people dead are just fine since trump said it is and that’s all they need to know….how deplorable do you have to be to just dismiss the suffering of 180,000 families who have lost someone to this damn virus? And now this hits home when I have a friend that just went in yesterday to get tested since she thinks she has the virus…or at least the majority of symptoms of it and with her underlying conditions, she could frickin die from it…and the death cult says that’s just fine…and now we have 4 days of lies and hate coming up starting tomorrow with the repub convention where 180,000 dead will be held up as a success since millions didn’t die…yet, and they will try to paint Joe Biden as a scary socialist who is controlled by Soros and the “deep state”….needless to say, I won’t be watching one damn minute of it…I have had more than enough of the repubs to last me 17 lifetimes…this nightmare needs to be over….
August 23rd
Well…cripes, I just noticed that I didn’t do a second one yesterday and there really is no reason for it…I wasn’t busy and didn’t do any work on the house…I did chase the damn squirrel that has been eating my tomatoes and knocked him off the fence…I’m at the point that I’m going to kill the damn thing the next time I see him…and I’m not a violent person but I didn’t grow my garden to have that little varmint ruin all of my tomatoes by taking a bite out of every damn one of them….so, I’ll have to look for it this morning…slept okay last night but still feel pretty crappy right now but one good thing is that I’m only doing one ride today and that is not going to happen until 9 or so since there is a Moto GP race on at 7:30 that I want to watch and that will last until then…and there are races on all day again today with the Indy 500 on this afternoon that I never miss…so there probably won’t be any work done again today…and it is supposed to rain a bit so no painting today….my foot is still not hurting and it has been a couple of weeks now…I’m even almost back to my normal walk and I’m surprised that it has taken so long to stop favoring it….I still think about the pain so I think that will take a while to fix….not much to do today…need to get some cleaning done but I don’t need to cook since I have leftovers to use…and I have chicken downstairs that I haven’t even opened yet….and lots and lots of tomatoes…need to eat a couple today before they get overripe….more later…
August 22nd
Well…crap…another morning of being late to come here and I sure don’t like it…I mean, it’s 7:21 and I just poured my first cup of coffee and I should be out on the bike already…but, I don’t have much to do today and just need to get the two rides in by 12:30 when the first race of the day starts…feel really slow this morning and probably need to stop taking the otc sleeping pills again…but I do sleep with them and that wasn’t happening before….three to four hours a night was killing me and I think I may need a plan to attack that other than the pills…what that would be I don’t know…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but that was the plan with way too much ladder work this week and with the pain that came from it…was so damn stiff yesterday that I could barely walk but that seems to be better today….but, I am going to do two rides again today since I’m pretty damn dumb….I did go over 3900 miles yesterday and need to keep up the pace….I have way too much food waiting to go into the freezer and need to get that done today…pork loin and chicken thighs that I probably shouldn’t have bought this week….but I did take a pizza out so there may be room for it downstairs….and I need to eat a couple of tomatoes today so they don’t spoil but there aren’t any calories in them so I can not feel too guilty about that…not much to do today…need to get moving and get on the bike and I do need to clean some today but I’m not really motivated right now…maybe later….
They are going to get his tax returns…
Well…after the supreme court ruled that no person here in the US is above the law, they tossed the suit that trump filed back to the lower courts to give trump another try to come up with reasons that his tax returns shouldn’t be given up in a criminal investigation…so idiot boy’s lawyers went back to court with exactly the same reasons that the supreme court rejected on a 7-2 vote….so, just yesterday, that court said quit the bullshit and ruled that these were the same reasons the SC rejected and trump had to produce everything that Cy Vance has subpoenaed…of course, trump’s lawyers appealed that ruling but this is the final time he will be able to do that…the appeals court has to abide by the same SC ruling that the district court had to so the result will not be any different…so, in just a few weeks, Cy Vance will have the tax returns and other financial documents from the criminal trump to go along with all of the records Vance got from Deutsche bank and he then can start to compare the records and see the huge amounts of bank and real estate fraud that trump has been doing his entire life….I wonder if an indictment can be handed down in time for the election? Probably not but this will be waiting for trump when he loses…and remember, these are state charges that trump can’t pardon himself for…he is going to be the first ex-president to go to jail and I can’t wait….
August 21st
Well…I think this is the latest I’ve made it here, other than Sundays, in a long time…had really fitfull sleep all night and didn’t get back to sleep until almost 5 and then didn’t get up til 6:46…so I’m running late today…how do you hurt the bottom of your feet? I know how…I guess that was a rhetorical question…up and down the ladder and standing on rungs for three hours for three days in a row will do it…but I think I’m taking the day off today to try to let them heal up some…they burn like crazy so they do need a rest…and I only have two more awnings to do so they can wait til Monday…or tomorrow depending on how my feet feel….made my first batch of salsa yesterday and it came out great…don’t think I put a big enough jalapeno in it, though…it has a little bite but doesn’t make me sweat so the next batch will have more…had something knock a ripe tomato off the plant yesterday and eat half of it and I’m betting it was the damn squirrel I have been throwing rocks at…he attacked another one but only broke the skin so I kept that one and ate it…it is sure nice having tomatoes that taste like tomatoes…oh, got the news from my youngest son that I am going to be a grandpa next Tuesday…they are going to induce labor for his wife since she is past her normal due date…it still sucks that I can’t be there in the hospital with them…god I hate trump and his toadies…not much to do today….with being so sore, I need to take the day off and just do easy stuff today…my hands even hurt and my back and my legs…okay let’s just say everything hurts and leave it at that….more later…
