Well…as you know, I’ve been a little short on political ones here lately, but I’ll try to do more as things get weirder and weirder. Last week, the Senate Intelligence Committee released it’s findings that yes, the Russians did interfere in the 2016 election and yes, they did it to elect the idiot trump. You would think that this bombshell would have repubs keeping their heads down since it was not just trump that they helped…they poured money into almost every repub race across the country…but, no…guess what happened just yesterday? A bunch of repub senators were back in Russia to hold secret meetings with high level Russians, including the spy/ambassador Kislyak who was implicated in the conspiracy to help trump…no meeting notes, no reporters, just more secrecy and more conspiracy. I wonder if they are there to get the Russians started on attacking the 2018 election? Whatever their motives, these senators work for us and we have the right to know who they are talking to and what they are talking about…and the same crap is happening when the idiot boy meets with Putin to get his next batch of orders in the next week or so…no reporters, no record of the meeting or what is talked about…this is bullshit and they know it….trump got played by Kim and it is even going to be worse with Putin….impeach…

July 5th
Well….running on time today even with doing the grocery run…woke up feeling pretty crappy today and that is a continuation of how I felt all day yesterday…just had no energy and felt off all day…not sure if it’s a bug or not but it sure feels like one….we’ll see how it goes today…I did try to eat enough since it felt kind of like I was short on calories the past few days….one of these days I’m going to take a day off the bike and fight the guilt from it….didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks much the same…I should clean some and I might but it is still so damn humid that I’ll be sweating through everything in about 5 minutes….I’m still pretty sore from working on the car but it seems to be getting a little better….my hands are still pretty beat up but better today, too….not much to do today….going to get the bike ride in soon but I need to finish the coffee first….more later….
Neil Young…
WeIl….thought I’d come back this morning and do a short one about the free Neil Young concert from last night….it was similar to the one from earlier in the year that he did from Omemee, Ontario, a town that Neil lived in as a kid. Lot of just Neil wandering around the stage and picking up instruments in a seemingly random way and the songs seemed to be random as well…he went way back into the Buffalo Springfield catalog and did a lot of songs I have never seen him do before and that was an unexpected treat…as was the electric version of “Ohio” that he did with an alternating quiet/screaming loud arrangement that was just too cool….he even went into how he wrote the song after seeing the iconic photo on the cover of Time Magazine of the woman kneeling next to a dead student at Kent State that he saw lying on a table in the rain…..it was a very personal performance that I was blown away by…he even called David Crosby a great friend…maybe it’s the first step in their reconciliation? Hope so….
July 4th
Well…not sure why I’m getting going on time today…don’t have much to do but work out and ride the bike so I guess I could wait but habit is pretty strong…slept okay last night but feel pretty slow today so the coffee better start to work soon….I did get the plate off the car yesterday but I am sore everywhere again today so I may have to take something for it before the bike ride…many new muscles in use that all hurt…I did get to see Neil Young’s live concert last night and it was great…will probably do one on that later in the day…didn’t get anything else done yesterday but I think I’ll clean some today since I don’t have to cook and there is no soccer on again until Friday…I am hoping that we get the storms that are predicted later today…that would be somewhat entertaining…more later….
Poor little snowflakes…
Well…just got a huge laugh from the whining of trump defender Alan Dershowitz saying he is a victim of “social profiling”…here’s the money quote: “I have experienced this first hand on Martha’s Vineyard. Old friends are shunning me and trying to ban me from their social life.” First, poor little snowflake…you go on tv almost daily defending the worst person in the world and you expect people to be okay with that? You should be banned from the entire damn world since you continue to give trump cover for being the racist idiot that he is….and now you whine that you’re not getting invited to parties anymore? Have you ever thought to not protect trump? To be a good human being that people want to be with? There are consequences to actions moron….but you snowflakes truly believe that you can be the biggest assholes in the world and everyone has to just take it and smile….poor, poor baby….
Finally got the plate off…
Well….it has been a heck of a lot of work this morning trying to get the old license plate off the car…even went out and bought some tools to do it but, in the end, I didn’t need any of it other than the big screwdriver…didn’t have one of those so it was a good 1.89 that I spent. Figured out this morning that I could just take a hacksaw blade and cut a new slot in the head of the screws and then use the new screwdriver to take them out…it worked for the first one but the second one just wouldn’t budge so I had to cut the plate off and get my vicegrips on the head to get it to turn…and it barely did. So, I have my new, weird numbered plate on the car now that I will have to memorize at some point….
July 3rd
Well…running a little early today and I don’t feel that hot today…still have that lung congestion that has been bugging me for a week now and I wonder what it is…I did have a nice drive out and back to pool…which I lost…and I really like the new brakes on the car…I do need to head out to HF later today to get a little grinder to cut a slot in the license plate screws so I can get them off and put the new plate on…have been wanting one of those for a while and they are only 7 bucks….need to pay bills today, too, but I can do that from the couch when soccer is on…not much to do today…I do need to cook some but probably won’t work on the car today…oh, and I do need to buy an extension cord so I can get to the car with the grinder…haven’t had one of those in years, too….more later….
Neil Young show for free Tuesday night…
Well…just read a bit of good news a minute ago…Neil Young is going to put on a free livestream of his concert from Detroit Tuesday night…it a solo show and I think it will probably be something like the one he did a few months back from his little hometown in Canada….that was a great concert and I am going to be watching this one, too…I’ve seen Neil almost a dozen times now and have never come away disappointed…and, to be able to see him sitting on my couch with a cocktail is pretty darn cool…have even figured out how to connect the computer to my big screen…even cooler…
Trump’s dementia is getting worse
Well…isn’t anyone in the WH going to do something about the idiot trump’s worsening dementia? Over the past few days, his decline has been on full display as he has started to imagine things that never happened and has presented them to the world as true…first, he completely made up that someone, somewhere in the US is building a new billion dollar steel plant because of his tariffs…the only problem is that not one reporter or fact checker or anyone else could find it…you would think that if someone was going to build a billion dollar anything, it should be pretty easy to find the permits or the orders for steel or concrete that would be needed…nope, nothing…just another delusion from someone suffering from progressive dementia. The second instance was his assertion that the gang MS-13 had taken over towns on Long Island and that he had “watched” I.C.E. go into the towns and “liberate” them from gang control….this never happened, either, and when sheriffs from many towns on Long Island were contacted to ask about these gangs, many of them scoffed…calling them “baby bandits” since the members of MS-13 are usually in their early teens and they don’t see them as much of a threat. So, now we have a “president” who is more and more living in a fantasy world of “easy” trade wars, imaginary steel plants, and gang action that never took place…when are you going to do something about him, repubs? Yeah, I know, you won’t do a damn thing until the US is in a smoking heap…impeach…
July 2nd
Well…running quite early today since I have lots to do before the Brazil/Mexico match at 10…need to wash the car after having the sprinklers cover it with the crappy water that leaves the ugliest spots all over it…and I’m sure there are greasy fingerprints from doing the brakes yesterday…other than doing the car, I didn’t get anything else done yesterday and today will be the same with pool this aft…I can’t wait to see how the new brakes work on the trip out and back….I am really sore from using a bunch of new muscles working on the car yesterday and that will need some ibuprofen here in a few minutes….and that will help with working out and riding the bike….not sure what I’m going to eat today…I have a pizza in the freezer that is calling my name and I just may cook that for lunch…maybe not….more later…
