Well…up at 5:07 again today and I am so damn tired of not sleeping…yeah, that was funny to me, too…it’s 20 degrees out there and it’s not going to get much warmer today but it will warm up some this week and we’ll be back in the 40’s for a couple of days…we’ve had a lot of snow melt here and the 18inches I had on my roof is gone along with the ice build up in my gutters…was a little worried that the ice would do some damage but none yet…I’m almost over the cold but I’m still sniffling so I need to get some allergy meds in me to get some relief from that…didn’t get much done yesterday and won’t today and that’s okay…I’ve had enough of working my ass off every day…okay, still going to do the weight work and two rides this morning but I need to get coffee in me first…going to need to hit the library Tuesday since I only have two books left of the 6 I got last week…need to get blood work done tomorrow morning and then the run into GR in the afternoon and that is going to wear me out…more later…

Another easy day…
Well…yeah, I’m getting pretty repetitive with the titles lately so I’ll do better tomorrow…it WAS an easy day after getting the normal stuff done…went over 3,500 miles on the indoor bike today and with the 5,283 outdoors it gets me to 8,791 miles for the year…with just a bit over a week left I’ll get probably another 100 miles in…not bad for a year that I had no goals…and that is a record for indoors for a year from 3,151 last year…not bad for an old guy…going into GR Monday afternoon to meet up with K for a bit…haven’t seen her in almost 3 years so that will be fun…and the car could use a good run out…okay, need to read more…it’s another one meal day today…but I think I need to stop that…could be one of the reasons I feel so worn out…I guess we’ll see…
Finally the dems grow a spine…
Well…finally, the dems in the house with the leadership of Hakeem Jeffries have grown a spine and have figured out ways to sideline the do nothing speaker of the house Johnson…when Johnson refused to bring a bill to the floor that would extend the ACA subsidies for three more years, Jeffries convince a couple of repubs that it was the right thing to do and he then used a discharge petition to force a floor vote and the measure passed…and now Jeffries has the method nailed down to just go around Johnson and get work done for the American people…and it’s about time…I have been bitching about this for years, that someone in the dem party needed to step up and stop the idiot trump from running roughshod over our democracy…and I think this is going to make the blye wave in ’26 into a blue tsunami…it’s about time…geez…
December 20th
Well…still frickin exhausted this morning and I know it’s the cold but I can’t let that stop me from getting going…still want to get the weight work in and two rides done before 9 so that means I need to get going…out of bed before 6 and I know that sounds like I got enough sleep but I woke up at 2:26 and was up an down since then so that means about 5 hours and that’s been going on for a week now….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and with how I’m feeling right now, I won’t get much done today either…just going to be in survival mode and try to stay warm…not sure what the meals will be today but I have a lot of eggs and a green pepper to be used so probably an omelet…will probably stay with the one meal a day thing I’ve been doing but that could be why I’m so tired…700 calories is not enough but that seems to be where I’m at right now…more later…
Healing…
Well…it appears I’m healing up from the moving damage that affected most of my body…I was able to do the weight work with my left arm today and it really doesn’t hurt much…my right hip is a little better but still hurts right after I get off the bike…but I can live with that…my cold seems to be better, too…at least my nose isn’t running like a faucet and I only had a little bit of a sinus headache today…but I didn’t get anything else done so that will have to happen tomorrow…I did have to shovel the snow since it was drifting over the sidewalk on the east side of the house and that was about a foot deep…but damn, it’s been cold after the 49 degrees yesterday, never getting over 20 today…but it’s getting 40 tomorrow but then back down to 22 for a high Sunday…just weird, weird weather…
No ballroom for you….
Well…with the lawsuits piling up against the idiot trump for illegally having the east wing of the WH demolished and getting ready to build his gaudy ballroom…there is now a call for a national class action suit against trump and trump organization on behalf of the American people enjoining him from going forward with the stupid, ugly ballroom…we know the entire purpose of the ballroom is just a scam so idiot boy can grift off it and line his own pockets to the tune of a hundred million dollars…but now these suit are going to stop it and the idiot is pissed…good…now, the second topic…the Epstein files that idiot boy is forced by law to release all of them…well…that didn’t happen…less than 1/10 of them were released and the ones that were are so redacted there is no way to understand what is there…so now what do the repubs do? They need to force the release through hearings in the house and senate and find idiot boy in contempt of congress to go with his two impeachments…and we need to win the ’26 mid terms in a landslide so we then will control the committees that will investigate idiot boy and probably impeach him again…geez…
December 19th
Well…up at 5:13…again…and that was one of the crappiest nights of sleep I’ve had in a while…just frickin worn out from the cold and having my head plugged up all day yesterday…a little better today but it will probably take a week or so before I feel normal again…the wind is howling out here and we have a winter weather advisory in effect…4+ inches of snow so I’ll be out shoveling later even though I feel pretty crappy…radar shows there will be snow for the next few hours so I won’t go out until after lunch….it’s going to be a struggle to get the weight work and rides in and I may just do one ride today to give myself a little break…still working on the BAH but it needs to go in the freezer later today so I’ll have to make some room for it…not much to do today…just going to ease into it and see where it goes…more later….
Yep it’s a cold…
Well…after coughing, sneezing, and having a runny nose today, all I can say is yep, it’s a cold…but I don’t feel bad and no sore throat so I’m not going to waste a covid test…we are now under a winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow with up to 4 inches of snow forecast…ick…and that is going to be on top of the ice that is going to come from all of the rain we had and that continues right now and the high is going to be only 23 tomorrow…they plowed again up here since they did such a crappy job earlier in the week so I had to go out and shovel the slush at the end of the alley and my front sidewalk…don’t have to go anywhere until Monday when I need to hit the lab for another blood draw so it will be okay…man, I’m tired…but I did get the weight work and rides in by 9am today and I’ll try to do the dame tomorrow..
The howler monkey rants…
Well…of course I didn’t watch the idiot trump do his “speech” last night but the consensus from commentators is that he looked like a howler monkey shouting and red faced ranting through the whole thing…oh, and everything he said was a lie…prices coming down faster than ever? Nope…have you looked at the doubled prices for damn near everything starting with laundry detergent? One of the commenters made me laugh when he called the speech “the Mount St. Helens of bullshit eruptions” or this one “desperate president yells lies”…the only thing that I saw that came out of the whole debacle was they proved idiot boy could still stand up and that he does not give a shit about anything but himself…now that’s a good look going into ’26…I don’t care about you or the doubling of your health insurance costs…get a third job and just shut up peasants….geez…
December 18th
Well…up at 5:13 this morning and didn’t sleep much at all…and I think I have a cold…had a mild sore throat yesterday and today my head is plugged up but I really don’t know how I got a bug other than the move last Saturday when I was unmasked around a dozen people…oh, well…don’t feel that bad so I’m not going to burn a covid test…it’s over 40 right now heading to 47 today with rain so we will lose some of the piles of snow that were getting high enough to make it hard to throw the snow over them….but we will be back in the 20’s Friday and then up and down for a week…I just need a break from shoveling every damn day and this may be it…going to take it easy today with just the normal stuff and reading and I’m not sure if I have the energy to do much else…I guess we’ll see after the coffee works…more later….
